The Walk of Good Work pt1

God wants to redeem to Himself a peculiar people zealous of good works. Most of the epistles are written at a time when Good works were expected of the churches. The real meaning of Good Works is something that can only be revealed by God. it can only take peculiar people to do works that are good (2 Tim. 3:17, Tit. 2:14).

There is edification in faith which ministers godliness (1 Tim. 1:4). The power of godliness is faith (1 Pet. 1:5,2 Pet. 1:3). When a man is handling faith, it is power. No one can attain divine nature without divine power, which is faith. This faith, however, is not just any kind of faith. For instance, anyone who is sincere will know that the faith that moves mountains is not sufficient to make the soul divine. The Bible says you can have this kind of faith and not have Charity (1 Cor. 13:3).

Charity is not just walking in love and it is possible to walk in love and not have it. Charity connects God’s power and it takes active connection to God’s power to connect it. Paul, in 1 Cor. 13 taught that without having located charity, every other exercise of divine virtues/provisions is nothing. Faith, Hope and Charity are triplets that lead to the divine nature. It is written in this order because you will not find Charity without having found faith. This faith, however, is that which abides (1 Cor. 13:13).

This faith is not that which moves mountains because that does not abide as against the faith that “abideth” (1 Cor. 13:13). The order of arranging the things that abide is written from the least to the greatest because the Bible says, “the greatest of these is Charity”. The Hope is greater than Faith and Charity is greater than them both. These things are God’s, not man’s. There was a season, though, when we were allowed to use “our” things, not theirs. We can have our Faith and our Love which is lower than God’s Faith and Love (Eph. 1:15). True maturity is crossing from our things to the things of God.

No one connects/finds Charity without being ready for God’s love. God’s Faith is a dimension of Faith that is far away from the realm of man’s grasp. The church had their own faith and love before he began praying that they would move from theirs to His. This is shown in His prayers, “that you may not the hope of HIS calling” (Eph. 1:18), “the riches of HIS glory of HIS inheritance in the saints”, etc.. These riches are durable riches of God’s glory (Philippians 4:19). These are things that pertain to God’s own inheritance, which He also wants to give us.

The riches of God, though not limited to it, can make a man wealthy in the natural. Righteousness is true riches of the Kingdom. The things that make for true riches are documented and packaged in the New Testament. The faith that moves mountains is not abiding faith because it is not from the realm of things that abide. Charity has Faith and Hope within itself. When the eyes of men’s understanding are open to see Christ, you are already teaching them Charity.

Charity does not speak of any kind of love; it speaks of the kind of Love that abideth and progression into it actually begins from Faith. The end of “the commandment”, Paul said, “is Charity out of a pure heart” (1 Tim. 1:5). The love that Paul commended in the Ephesian church when he said, “I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all the saints” is not the end of the commandment. It may be the end of a commandment but it is not the end of the commandment.

The commandment is our responsibility of God to God. There is a commandment which is not of God though it is from God. The ultimate goal for everyone who is recreated in Christ Jesus is to do the things of God. The purpose of milk, which is the other commandment, is to prepare the soul to do commandment that is of God. Commandment begins with what is in Christ and ends with what is in God. Most of those who speak about the End-Time moves of God are not grounded in the milk of God’s word.

We are supposed to be supernatural, not spooky. Milk is a natural provision of God, which is designed to prepare us for accurate penetration into righteousness. One of the greatest errors we will make is to substitute the meat of the word with the milk of the word. That a minister is also teaching the meat of the word is not to say that he has abandoned the milk of the word. The milk of the word is an allocation of God’s word that once ingested forms the basis of subsequent judgment. Nobody must despise the milk of the word because it is a very vital ingredient for constructing the divine nature in the soul.

When the soul gets to Charity, it gets to the bond of perfection (Col. 3:14). Paul said, “For now we see through a glass darkly; but then face to face; but then shall I know even as also I am known” (1 Cor. 13:12). This implies that Charity also has something to do with sight. In the realm of Charity, we see clearly/face to face. The season when we worked without seeing prepared us for the “Now” season (which is faith) while Charity is the commandment for “then”, which is perfection.

Without the heart having been purified, the soul cannot do Charity (1 Pet. 1:23) and the way it gets purified is to keep looking through the glass darkly (1 Cor. 13:12). God expects Charity to flow from a good heart and conscience with unfeigned faith. The bond in Charity connects the perfection in “Now” (Faith) with the perfection of “then” (Love). It is the binding force that joins the tabernacles of the Holy Place to the Most Holy place. Those who have broken through into Charity are those referred to as a peculiar people.

There is a furnishing that takes place in the Holy Place, which is designed to make a man perfect (in the Holy Place). What God wants to download in the soul and make known among the churches is “Christ in you, the hope of glory” (Col. 1:27). It is this same thing that Paul spoke about when he said, “that Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith” (Eph. 3:17). When Christ begins to dwell in your heart by faith, nothing stops you from being grounded in Love. Hope is inclusive when you are being grounded in Love because it does not make ashamed.

The kind of Love that this Hope brings is not in every heart yet; otherwise, all hearts would have been purified. One of the signs you see in a man who has Hope within him is fearlessness about the future because Hope is the consolidation of Faith. Unfortunately, those who cut men off from the preaching and teaching of the Faith that abides have successfully taken them away from the Hope. Consequently, such men will never arrive at Charity. If you turn against the Faith of the Son of God, you turn yourself into an enemy of Christ.

When the soul begins to touch the love of Christ, it is being made ready for judgment. Without obedience to the truth, through the Spirit, no soul will arrive at Charity/unfeigned Love of the brethren. That the Hebrew church that Paul and Peter wrote to, wanted to turn back from the meat of the word, despite all the signs and wonders they witnessed in Acts of the Apostles tells us that commandments differ. When the soul arrives at Hope, the purification of the heart is about getting to the last dimension because hope purifies the heart (1 John 3:3).

What Christ Jesus hoped for was what made Him pure. As long as your faith and hope is not in God, you will be impure. If God does not remove your expected end from your heart, you will never be pure. What makes a soul attain the use of the Master is not in accordance with the expectations of human judgment; it is being full of works that God calls “Good”! Men like this are prepared for every good work (2 Tim. 2:21). A pure heart is a pure vessel and it qualifies to be a vessel unto honour.

The Lord Jesus must be studied and obeyed. He is the Stone that God has set to align man to God. We have to be careful about Him because He will offend us and our arrangements. If you reject Him, He will become a Rock of offence to you. It is possible to disallow/deny Him. Unfortunately, many builders (ministers and men) are building today without involving Him. The reason many men react to Christ is because of something He has that looks like a stigma. This is why many men stone Him with stones of intelligence. When you speak like this, you offend men because you are dealing with gods in their hearts.

Do not put Him in education because Christ stands apart from the education of this world. as important as these things are, we must recognize their place which is not even beside Christ. He is entirely different from and must not be mixed in with these things. It is an abomination to exalt what men exalt (Luk. 16:15). This does not mean we should be ascetics; what we are emphasizing is that nothing we interact with and use must be our God. Unfortunately, there are men who feel God is outdated and not relevant to what is happening around. We must learn to put other things in their places and exalt the knowledge of Christ which we have been called to follow after.

The reason for the abiding of the Godhead is Faith, Hope and Love. Each of them represents something in the abiding realm. It is a thing for you to be sanctified and another thing to be furnished. What furnishes the soul is Charity, when it is done. What made God give His only begotten Son is not Charity; it is Love (John 3:16). God did not just love the world, He gave them the best gift there can ever be, which is Himself. Beyond Charity, there lies the realm of God. When we get to this realm, we will know men as they are known in God as against how they are known by men.

Charity is the extension of the Holy Place into the most Holy Place; it is the link joining the Holy Place into Godhood. It is what the extension of the staves carrying the ark represents. This means it can bear both the burdens of God and the brethren (whose hearts have been purified). The test of your love for God are brethren whose hearts have been purified. Those who get offended and depart from amidst the brethren are not ready to see God. What offends the heart is what the brethren represent. Without being able to bear/love your brother whom you can see, how will you be able to love God who is more demanding?

The issue of loving the brethren/Charity is a lot more than the emphases of the church in recent years. Cain killed his brother because he was of the wicked one. He killed his brother because he failed the heart test that his brother passed. The commandment/demand of God was what revealed the evil in Cain. He hated his brother because his works were evil. Nothing tells who you are like what you do, either righteous or wicked. It is possible to be a Christian and be doing evil works. For instance, Lucifer was a righteous spirit before he began to do evil. What you do is what alters you.

Charity is that which perfects us in the Holy Place so we can do the works of the most Holy dimension. This is essential to ensure that God does not hand the throne over to another devil. God is bringing this light to us so that we know what is evil and eschew it. We must do good works unto eternal life.
