Anamnesis 2025 Day 4 (Grand Finale) - Pastor Shehu Makama

                                                   Transcript Summary

1. Our gratitude goes to God for Reverend Kayode Oyegoke, because he has remained resolute in the face of opposition to ensure that, by God’s grace, he is ready to bear the burden of what God has called this generation to.

2. The life that is being preached is no longer a theory; it has become a living expression. Faith, hope, and charity are no longer precepts but palpable expressions in this company. It is a common experience to see the life of Christ being lived. What gives us the confidence that the living God will also become a living expression is that Christ’s life which was once a mystery to some, has now become a reality, and not just in the lives of the principals or ministers, but in the entire company. What is preached is no longer something to wish for or desire to have someday in heaven.

3. The violence in the North is not just upon the North; rather, it is against the body of Christ. This violence is one that should cause a travail in the church. We should not let this violence go without it bringing something glorious upon the Church.

4. We are very fortunate to be part of this company. When we go back to our respective places from this convocation, we must ensure that what we have heard becomes a living reality in our lives. We must not rest until these things become tangible in our lives. Scripture says in Amos 6:1, Woe to them that are at ease in Zion. We must not relax and be complacent with our journey towards God.

5. The issue the Lord Jesus was having with the seven churches which made Him rebuke them sharply was that they were very relaxed at the point they reached, and were not pressing on. We must be like John in the Isle of Patmos, who knew there was something more and was passionately pursuing after it. We must not rest until we receive the little book. We must seek it like a treasure.

6. We must receive the substance of the only wise God. Anything we receive from any other god is just a foolish thing. We must seek wisdom as silver, like a hidden treasure, with all readiness. There is a wisdom we cannot receive until we are made wise. We have to be made wise first. Christ is the wisdom that we should gain in order to be able to receive the wisdom of God, who is the final wisdom.

Blessings!
