Believers’ Convention 2024 (Day 7 – Morning Session)

Topic: Walking in the Foot Steps of the Lord

All that God has been doing from the time of Christ till now, and till He returns, is salvation. Salvation has always been the only stream. Though there may be sub-streams in their purest forms, such as spiritual warfare, healing, miracles and holy moralism, they are not the things that God is doing.

The mannerisms of God’s servant, Reverend Kayode Oyegoke, whereby he only does things as directed by the Spirit of God, is a major reformation along the line of salvation alone. God is doing something unique at this time, there has not been anything like it before. This is the reason we should not compare his life or what he does with the standards that operate in the world. The message on the salvation of the soul was new to the Body of Christ when Reverend Kayode Oyegoke first started preaching it. This does not mean that it has not always been in existence, but the timing for its opening had not yet come. 

John 2:19-21

“Jesus answered and said unto them, Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up. [20] Then said the Jews, Forty and six years was this temple in building, and wilt thou rear it up in three days? [21] But he spake of the temple of his body.”

2 Peter 3:8

“But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.”

When Jesus was leaving the earth to commence His next level of ministry, the early church was able to break into these things that are being taught to us now. However in recent times, the Asia minor region, where those churches were situated, do not have a very strong Apostolic witness as it was during the past. This is because the timing for Jesus’ coming was meant to be immediately after the second day, which is signified by ‘two thousand years’ (2000). 

God’s servant, Rev. Kayode Oyegoke yielded as God led him and came into Lagos about three years before the second day; the year 2000. 

Hosea 6:2

“After two days will he revive us: in the third day he will raise us up, and we shall live in his sight.”

When we look at the opening of salvation, we realize that things which  have been hidden in the hearts are being made open. The heart has four major components; three of which are related to the totality of the soul and one, the conscience, is borrowed as a plug-in from the spirit man. 

God’s servant, Reverend Kayode Oyegoke, is God’s sent man for the work, as such there is no way one can capture the portion of dealings and sufferings that God had to mete on him because of what God was preparing him for. It is important that we understand that it is a very great privilege that at this time God has allowed us to know him. God does not disassociate certain people from their dealings because of what He intends to do. It is important that we are careful even when we do not understand some things. Some things may not make sense but we ought to just follow. The scepter of authority for the salvation of the soul has been given to him. There are things we may not understand properly but we must be patient and hold on to see what God is trying to do. 

The mainstream; the only thing that God is doing is salvation. The name of the ministry (Eternal Glorious Fountain Ministry) is the name of God’s stream from the time Jesus came till when He comes for us. Before the year 2000 the soul was not being x-rayed and the salvation of the soul message had not come to correct holy moralism, unfortunately, the doctrine of new creation realities blinded the eyes of the people. 

These scriptures open to us what the eternal purpose is, what the Eternal Glorious Fountain Ministry is about.

John 17:24

“Father, I will that they also, whom thou hast given me, be with me where I am; that they may behold my glory, which thou hast given me: for thou lovedst me before the foundation of the world.”

Ephesians 1:4

“According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love…”

1 Peter 1:20

“Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you…”

The early church entering into this dimension can be likened to Enoch who was able to live beyond his days. Enoch got translated but that was not the timing (Gen. 5:24). That is also how the Son of God is come. That which God has started will not be like the churches in Asia minor because that time has gone and Jesus has come. 

Believers’ Convention is more for ministers in the ministry of the five-fold because there is a dimension of ministry that we have not been able to break into because it can only be done when souls have been x-rayed and salvation has hit the souls in a measure. 

2 Corinthians 3:2

“Ye are our epistle written in our hearts, known and read of all men…”

2 Thessalonians 2:8

“And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming…”

When Jesus said to Peter, “do you love me, feed my sheep” in John 21:16-17, He was simply implying what He said about strengthening his brethren after he has been converted (Luke 22:32). This conversion refers to a returning. In the soul, there is  a level of conversion that will enable us to share these things. A soul that has not experienced an impact of salvation to a certain degree cannot push souls into the sanctuary for  the Lord to start a work. It is a long and unfamiliar journey with a lot of unfamiliar things that we do not know. God’s servant; God’s sent man in this stream, does not know everything but he does not act without hearing from God. When you misunderstand that manner of life, you miss out. The inability to yield to that which God wants to do can lead to death,so we have to understand the ability to treasure what God is giving.  If we do not nurture it, it will be nurtured from above because it is beyond any program or agenda. 

The scriptures which we read in terms of the Eternal purpose makes us realize that this is what God promised Jesus (John 17:5), and it is important that we understand. 

1 Thessalonians 2:8

“So being affectionately desirous of you, we were willing to have imparted unto you, not the gospel of God only, but also our own souls, because ye were dear unto us.”

The days of playing church and picking messages off the shelf are over. In the next few years, we will see an unusual flow of the church into this stream, because this is the only message that God has. The only thing God has been doing from the time of Jesus’ birth to His manifestation is salvation. What we get from Convention is better than fame or every other thing we can think of. We need to cry out to God to save our souls. We need to seek after God and Him alone. We will enter into the Holiest, but we must press in.
