Believers’ Convention 2025 – Day 2 Evening Session – Pastor Tayo Fasan

Date: Monday, 18th August 2025
Transcript Summary
- The fathers in the faith have something in common: they all agreed to be led by God in ways that they found grace to endure. We are blessed because God was able to lead them in their generation. And over the years and decades, He crafted His ways in them (Rom. 8:1).
- Whenever the throne of God visits a generation, it wants to make known the ways of the Lord. The Bible talks about how God made known His ways to Moses, and that took about 40 years.
- We all have a destiny to be elders in the spirit. What makes elders in the spirit is that God has been able to gift such men with His ways. Peter referred to himself as an elder (1 Pet. 5:1); this is a man who was able to profit from the dealings of the throne in the days of his flesh, like Moses did. One thing that such people share in common is that they have the right of way to God’s presence.
- One thing we enjoy in Believers’ Convention is that we have an opportunity to corporately press into presence; however, this is not yet a natural habitation for some of us because we do not yet have the way to sustain it.
- The Lord has done some work in the fathers that have graced this meeting, and He wants to replicate that work in us because it is that work that will admit us into His presence and make us live there until we can abide. Sanctification is the process to bring a soul into God’s presence (Ex. 19:22).
- The commandment God gave to Adam was a treasure he was meant to hide in his heart (Ps. 119:11). By not doing so, he found something adventurous in what Satan had to say about tomorrow. Then he was able to make a mental picture of the future; that was where fear was born, and he found another definition of life outside a life that can be traced to the tree God wanted to introduce him to.
- Faith is born when you respond to what God says. Fear is born when you respond to what the adversary says. God was able to raise a man who lived by the evidence of things not seen because that is where our life is hid – in what is not seen. Our life is our inheritance, and our inheritance is hidden (1 Pet. 1:4).
- You overcome by the way that is wrought in you. So, in the absence of “way”, one would be overcome in the face of temptation. God’s desire and prayer is to have a kingdom of priests. As many as would answer this prayer in the heart of God, God would honor them by giving them His way.
- One thing the Lord wants to do through the gospel, firstly the gospel of Christ, is to teach us how to die to death. God has His own death and that was what Jesus obeyed. What makes God separated from death is what is kept in the gospel and it is in the process of keeping it that a soul would be made free from the fear of life.
- What made some of us not to delight in the art of submitting, for instance, can be traced to fear. It can be traced to a life we are still holding onto. People who delight in submitting to spiritual authority have been helped of the Lord to find a definition of life that is not their life.
- The gospel is a school where God has warehoused secrets of how to learn to die to a life that God never called our life, so that we can be alive to what God calls our life, which is what will separate us and bring us into presence. The process of that separation is what would make us a holy nation, a peculiar people, and royal priesthood who are priests with dominion.
- God has raised and is raising in our midst, a company of those who are called the Zion stones. Zion stones are those whom the Lord has been able to separate from the flesh. A soul that cannot live strictly by faith is flesh.
- (Isaiah 28:16). To be a stone in Zion, firstly you have to be a stone. Afterwards, through the process of separation and by keeping faith in the word of the Lord in the season where we are hearing tidings and teachings around faith, hope, and charity, we experience separation. Then a time comes when you become a tried stone, and ultimately a precious stone.
- You can be made a stone by virtue of what you selflessly do with your resources – time, money, etc. For some of us, it took years to be able to agree with a contrary report that says that Christ is our life, because before then, salary was our life. You would prove before heaven that salary is not your life when you are able to allow the Lord in that area and die to your right to spend your salary the way you want.
- It takes time to become a precious stone. A precious stone is one who has Christ dwelling in his heart by faith – faith must have become his life. This faith is called the faith of the Son (Gal. 2:20), and it is a beautiful thing to own. You really own nothing until you have this faith — that is, until you can naturally and unconsciously live by faith and then have life.
- There are many here whose souls have become a comfortable habitation for the Lord. 1 Timothy 1:5 speaks of the process by which souls would be raised to become a house for the Lord. When a soul is raised thus, he can then cry for more like David did in Psalm 132:4-5.
- Psalm 132:4-5 is the prayer of a precious stone. This prayer is the summary of the will of God – that a man’s soul would be a habitation for Him. David understood that it was by his soul becoming a habitation for the Lord Almighty that the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob would become his God, hence, the reason for this prayer.
- The habitation of the Lord Almighty in a soul is a secret which the Lord is now breaking down to those who have fetched fear while living in the Sanctuary – while living by faith. God wants to show such men His covenant. Psalm 132 is a cry for the help that we all need. We need this help in this season, which is also described in Hebrews 4:16.
- There is a process of developing a nature that would enable us to cry as new born babes so that our souls will not just be a habitation for the Lord but also be an habitation for God. It is in the process of doing so that the Lord would begin to make known His ways.
- The Colossian church prospered in the conversation of a way from the Lord and were prepared to relate with the Father as sons and daughters (Col. 1:10). And that way is always formed in the process of time when we prosper in two things; the leading of the Spirit in that season and submission to spiritual authority. That is what will give strength to our legs to climb the mountain of the Lord; it is the secret of becoming a stone in Zion.
- When the knowledge of the glory of the Lord is covering the earth as the waters cover the sea, what the throne wants to communicate can be traced to what is called His law and His word. Jesus is both the word of God and the law of God. That is what raised Him to become an entity of the throne.
- (Isa. 55:6-10). The reign of everlasting righteousness, which is the reign that would communicate the word and the law of the Lord, must come to those who are earth. Zion stones who would eventually become a habitation for God are being raised. The time to bring forth and bud refers to the time when Zion stones must have lived by the bread and the water. There are victories that we come into when we do so.
Blessings!
