Transcript Summary 

1. When the old covenant came, it came with a lot of thundering, burning, quaking and darkness such that the people could not come near.  The people entreated Moses to hear God on their behalf, so Moses went into the thick darkness, which is why He was the only one God could communicate His ways to. There is no way God can imprint His nature in you except with the ministration of His face. We turn to the Lord by turning to the ministrations of the face. When these ministrations are coming, they may not sound grand. 

2. In the last thousand years, there has not been any activity like that of Sinai that would make us feel like what we are handling is of any significance. There is a way God is coming to us in the New Testament order, and we need to have an understanding of how He is coming. It is not going to be with thundering, physical trumpets or shakings. Rather, it is in His speaking. So Paul needed to give the church the skill to understand how God is coming. 

3. The ministration of the Spirit is given by the speakings of those who God has raised. This manner of speaking is that of sitting in meetings for long and submitting to spiritual authority. That is the manner of speaking that many cannot endure and they stop journeying. The previous manner of speaking was that which shook the earth, but the speaking now is shaking the earth and the things in us which we are so attached to.

4. The reason we get tired of hearing is because we are so grown in carnality. A carnal man cannot endure spiritual things. People develop dullness of hearing because they do not want to continue. The hardening of the heart is a state; it is an inability or unwillingness to receive more. When we harden our hearts, we are setting ourselves against the promise that God wants to give and we would not be able to continue. This was the challenge of the Hebrew church progressing into the ultimate program of God.

5. The program of God is to change people before He can set them on the throne. You have to have a certain nature to sit on the throne. The ministry of change does not come without hearing the voice. If you compare how the people were in 2 Corinthians 3 and how they were in 1 Corinthians 3, you would see that they changed. This gives us hope that we can change.

6. In 2 Corinthians 3, the church in Corinth became the epistles of Christ as a result of the ministrations of the Apostles. Able ministers of the New Testament have the sufficiency to write the laws in men. The speaking of the Son of God from heaven is through these able ministers. There is a sufficiency of God in those who He has raised after this frequency. Able ministers of the New Testament must teach the things the Apostle was stressing in the book of Hebrews. Anyone who is not teaching the things the Apostles will not be able to make men epistles. 

7. The ministration of the Spirit comes by the manifest declaration of able ministers of the New Testament. This is why our meetings are not ordinary. Through speakings, we receive the Kingdom. When we are instructed, we are receiving a kingdom because that order is not of this world.

8. There is a life the new creation man is meant to learn so that he can fulfill his purpose. After we have overcome sin, death and hell, there is still an assignment of participating with God eternally. God is calling up a people and He is saying, “Harden not your heart”. Be open to receive and the Lord will make in you what He made in the Corinthian church—an epistle that can be read of all men.
