Believers’ Convention 2025 – Day 7 Morning Session – Rev. Helen Oyegoke

Date: Saturday, 23rd August, 2025
Transcript Summary
- (Rev. 3:21). There is a calling hanging over everyone to sit on the throne; this is a promise of Jesus Christ to us.
- Jesus went through the process of overcoming for us. After He overcame, He still waited to be set at the right hand of the Father. He did not claim rights to the throne or have an entitlement mentality.
- The entitlement mentality is not the mentality of the throne. We owe all we have become to God. It is Satan who gave us the entitlement mentality; this is why he was not fit for the throne. The entitlement mentality shows that we are not enlightened in the things of God.
- We should never feel entitled to anything. It is an overrating of oneself that makes one feel entitled. The one who should praise you is He who gave you the assignment (God). You should not take the praise unto yourself.
- The High Priest unveils things because He needs to purify us. Some thoughts constitute sicknesses and diseases in our bodies, but when we relinquish those thoughts, we realize that those things will go. Diseases in the body are linked to soul diseases.
- (Heb. 1:1-2). We are in the times of salvation because the times of His throne are the times of salvation. The project of the last days is salvation, and we are in the last of the last days.
- The spirit was quickened at the New Birth, but the soul has to be altered and changed because Satan has configured it as a child of the devil. So we have to go through the process of feeding and obedience to remove things from our souls.
- Some people were raised in an environment of suspicion, malice, unforgiveness and we pride in such things, not knowing we are priding in death. But no matter the offence, we should be able to forgive and greet each other.
- God wants us to get to the height where we can forgive and forget offences. This can only be achieved because we have been converted (1 Cor. 14:20).What makes us hold onto offences is pride — this is the basis and justification of malice and unforgiveness and it is the is the beginning of a fall (Prov. 16:18).
- Everything God wants to speak to us is in the Son (Heb. 1:1-2). A son is raised by the substances of God, but we cannot get God at the New Birth because at that level, we were babies and could not bear Him (1 Corin. 3:2). We will be firstly fed with milk to grow to become a child.
- A child that is properly raised by milk is not an ordinary child. These are Holy Ghost children, and they are full of honest reports (Acts 6:3). Milk gives a baby the capacity to interact with meat, which is the revelation of Christ.
- Christ is where the revelation of righteousness begins. It will cleanse you and will bring freedom from sin and death. We should grow into different allocations in God. The reason for feeding is to bring us to God.
- Without hearing and obedience, there is no inheritance. God made the Son to inherit all His things, for as He revealed things to Him, He obeyed them. One thing that characterised Jesus’ life was obedience, He did everything that His Father asked Him to do.
- (Heb. 1:2-3).Jesus became the brightness of God’s glory and the express image of His Person by virtue of what He inherited. It is because of this He was able to sit on the throne. He inherited all these things so that we can also inherit them. Everything God put in Jesus is meant for us.
- (Heb. 5:1). The compassion of Jesus is expressed in Him showing us the way. To qualify to sit on the throne, you must have all things of Him who sits on the throne, and not just know them. He must have made you to be configured into the brightness of His glory and the express image of His Person.
- To sit on the throne, we need to have the conversions that come by the reason of the giving of Christ and God. The things of Christ bring sanctification to us, deliver and free us from the law of sin and death. They wash us and make us able to take the things of God. The things of God here are everlasting substances.
- God cannot tolerate any being outside a meek and lowly one (Isa. 57:15). He can’t bring you close; that is why He resists the proud (James 4:6).
- God’s substances are things of contriteness. We are not contrite because of the substances in us. Some people feel they are too high to be wrong, but one who is contrite is he who can take the guilt.
- When God instructs us to apologize, even when we are not in the wrong, it is to make us contrite. What prevents us from apologising is pride. If we are ruled by people’s opinion of us, it would rob us of our destiny. People should know that we can be wrong and we should apologize to those whom we wrong.
- Apologizing keeps marriage going. It is not easy to live with someone who is always right. Saying ‘sorry’ makes wounds heal easily. It is a weakness to not be able to accept our wrong and apologize.
- Everlasting substances are meant to configure us as meek and lowly beings for the purpose of the throne. Moses was the meekest man on earth, so he could approach God anytime without blood; unlike the High Priest that only went once in a year and had to go with blood (Heb. 9:7).
- Growing to be small or to be a nobody is the real growth in the spirit. The reason why we cannot let go of unforgiveness is because our ego has been bruised. As such, we rather put those who offend us away.
- Love worketh no ill to his neighbour (Rom. 13:10). If you are working ill, you are wounding yourself because you will become more evil. If you do unrighteousness, you will become unrighteous.
- Offence puts us under the bondage of spirits and unforgiveness makes spirits plague us. They keep men under their bondage by teaching them their ways. All these things are attitudes of demons and when you engage in them for long, you bring their dominion over you. One can only be free from such by walking in obedience.
- A spiritual man is a man who yields to the dictates and laws of the spirit. To become spiritual, you must engage the laws of the spirit of life in Christ Jesus.
- If you are quick to forgive, you will be quickly healed but if you are slow, you will be slowly healed. The realm of everlasting life is a realm where we must be quick, because it is only children that can enter the kingdom.
- We should constantly tell ourselves that we are nothing. It will help us, so that Satan will not hijack what God wants to do in our lives. Satan did a bad work in man but God is going to destroy every of his works. This is why the Son is being manifested.
- It is not a culture of holiness to stand taller than others. When we get to this place of holiness, there will be no competition. The Bible says we should esteem one another to better, not that you struggle to be better than another (Phillipp. 2:3). This is the solution to competition.
- Satan has messed up a generation by selling thoughts of being better than others, even in anointing. No matter how ‘big’ you become, you must see yourself as one who is small. Always see something in the other person that is better than you and exalt it. These things will remove sicknesses from our midst.
- The High Priest will not spare any unholy thought these days because a people must come to the throne. Allowing God to x-ray your hearts and eject some thoughts can make you healed immediately, even without prayers.
- We were trained to despise something low and exalt something that is high. That is why a lot of people are afraid to come low, because they don’t want to be despised. So God hides Himself from us because we are too high.
- God wants us to see the nature of the One sitting on the throne. The High Priest has come and He wants to harvest children into the Most Holy. In the Most Holy, God will continue to work on us. This realm is the realm of little children. The greatest in the kingdom is the littlest.
Round Off by Reverend Kayode Oyegoke
- All the treasures and promises of God are given to us not to puff us up but to make us small. Apart from making us small, they make us high but that height is not pride, it is holy.
- Meekness seems to be the holder of promises. It is the foundation of every elevation in the spirit, for God builds on the slabs of meekness.
- Meekness is a strange grace. Meekness in itself is an act of mercy. It is a help. The path to being blessed is meekness.
Blessings!
