Transcript Summary
- There is a need for us to keep growing. God is trying to stir up in us the kind of hearts that will prosper in this season. This is not about natural prosperity but a prosperity in the life that we are learning. Therefore, every one of us has or should have a vision to prosper.
- One of the things that Satan has done to try as much as possible to limit our movement is that sometimes, we don’t discern those who are ahead of us. They are closer to the destination than we are. Therefore, when they describe things from that point, the best we can do is to believe, for when we doubt the way to the destination, we will not arrive at the destination.
- We can be stuck up on commandments and not journey. This is because the commandments are not an end in themselves; they are to lead us to a Person (God) and show us how to come from we are to where He is. When He begins to speak things from where He is to where we are, one thing that must not be lacking in us as a people is faith.
- (Hebrews 3:15). We must get to a point where the Lord can be comfortable to tell us whatever He wants to tell us, knowing fully well that we cannot gainsay nor resist it. There is a conditioning and preparation of heart that is needed to hear His voice.
- As long as we are not yet in the promised land, we must remember that whatever provisions and comfort we see along the journey are temporal. If we do not have this mind set, we will be so comfortable where we are and question moving forward in the spirit. As you journey, there is a place you will cross where you won’t be able to turn back — this is the labour of everlasting life.
- In the areas where we don’t know something about God, its because Satan has told us something there, and what he has said is sitting rent-free in our being, waiting for us to get to the point where he can unlock it.
- There are many things you can enjoy in any door, but the most priced possession is the next door. The most important thing you must see in any door is the next door. If you have not come to another door, you have not yet maximized that door. We move by believing. When the Israelites crossed the Red Sea, it was not just because of the fear of the Egyptians coming behind them, there was also a belief in what Moses told them to do.
- It is a mutation of Satan for one to disbelieve the most trustworthy Entity that will ever be — God. God does not lie. One of the signs of our spiritual development is that we learn to trust Him more and to trust His word in him whom He has sent (2 Chron. 2:20).
- Jesus is a man, but His judgement is not the judgement of man. When He is speaking in His frame as a man, He is speaking from the judgement of God. When he speaks and gives a piece of it to His servant to distribute to His people, the best we should do is to believe. If you have trouble believing, you should pray to Him to help you to believe.
- Our eyes of understanding are not usually open at once. Therefore, some things may look unclear when our pastors describe them. We should however accept them because we have not reached a stature that can see well. There is a type of heart we need to be able to prosper in this season. If we do not collectively have that heart, there are some things Jesus will just not say and if He does not say them, we will lose out, for we will not become that which we should become and our salvation will not be complete.
- We are on a journey, and once the church gets moved away from journeying, it ceases to fulfil the mandate of Heaven. We have to journey to a place where Satan cannot tell (understand) and where we can outthink him. A man is deceived when speaking comes at a level of comprehension capable of swaying him because such thoughts are higher than what he can think. Satan out-reasons us because we are yet to receive the judgement that makes us out-think him.
- Our journey is a journey of changing judgment, even in our judgment of the Lord. Jesus is not the same as how we knew Him at the New Birth, He is far more. Therefore, we must shift from seeing Him as just a healer or a deliverer to seeing Him as Somebody who is going to alter our being and make us as mysterious as Himself.
- (Ezekiel 36:24-25). Sprinkling of clean water (the word) is what begins our purification, turning us from carnal to spiritual, that is, a change of judgement. What makes a carnal man or spiritual man is in the way he thinks or judges, not primarily by how he dresses, lives or the job he does.
- The word at the level of milk begins a purification to begin to lift us up out of our carnal way of judging things. Demons are in charge of keeping us at the level of spiritual immaturity, but one day, we would overcome them.
- Filthiness in the spirit is however in cadres. When we analyze our actions, and study by the leading of the Spirit how we overcame some of their devices, we will begin to demonstrate that we are higher in wisdom than the spirit responsible for that level of filthiness.
- (Eze. 36:26). The new heart is the container for receiving the judgments, not the old one. The stony heart is the one responsible for housing the judgments and tactics that all the demons can pull. But after some time, judgment is increased and we can outgrow the devil’s tactics. The hope is to make us incorruptible.
- As long as we do not have God’s judgments, there is still a judgement that can still hoodwink us out of the promise. The only answer to the judgement that is ruining the earth today is His own personal judgement.
- We ought to have a militant mindset concerning receiving what the Lord is passing to us through His servant, Reverend Kayode Oyegoke. The words are not coming without an inherent warfare to reject them. These things are mysteries that address things we do not know that exist and things that are formations in us.
- One lesson husbands and wives should learn is that when any party speaks of change, most often it is a change to reflect themselves. We cannot find a place in scriptures that says, ‘change your wife or change your husband’; what is written is to love and submit. When we do that, we move out of the way and allow God to change us at His own pace. Sometimes, the darkness that we want to go to is the one that will save us.
- God is a Master. He knows certain things to leave or allow in a wife/husband that will work out patience in the husband/wife. In those seasons, the Lord will come with instructions not just to be patient but to be kind as well. Through these lessons of life, when patience and kindness has been wrought in the wife/husband, then the Holy Ghost comes to bring instructions to heal the husband/wife.
- Relationships are tools for salvation. We should be merciful to people just as we are looking for mercy. We ought to forgive. When we are focused on the infirmities of the people we have a relationship with, with an aim for it to change, all we would achieve is to change the person into our definition of what is right. Much more than that, it reflects one’s righteousness and not that of the Lord.
- When the Lord said, “Let brotherly love continue.” (Heb. 13:1), one of the ways to show your love is tolerance. You deal with and accommodate each other’s infirmities because some of those infirmities will be used for our salvation. God knows how to use darkness, so He knows the extent to which darkness can be left alone in order to deal with an infirmity then He will come to address other infirmities.
- We should get to a state where we can forbear the infirmities of others, and do our own part of keeping commandments. In our desire to make a person change, Satan is present to cause a ruin of that person. Even when someone is trusting God for the spouse to change, it is not he/she that does the changing, but the Lord. So, as you pray for your capacity to endure and forbear, you are opening up that person for the Lord to reach. The quicker you overgrow the issue disturbing your heart, the sooner that person will change. This is because Satan also wants to use it against you to keep you in one place. But when you demonstrate that you have grown above it, then it is no longer useful to Satan.
- We should not get in a relationship with the intention of changing people; we find a way of remaining friends despite each other’s differences and arguments because we have a brotherly code that is higher. Keeping a relationship is often more difficult in marriage because Satan does not like husband and wife. So, if he attacks a brother, sister or friend in one fold, he will attack marriage in ten folds. Your relationship to your spouse is closely tied to your comprehension of mysteries, and it should be honoured. The Lord Himself is a lover and His ultimate relationship with us is like a bride and groom (Eph. 5:32).
- Marriage is an opportunity for growth because the shortcomings of others ought to be seen as an opportunity to outgrow our own infirmities. We should not let anything that has its roots in this life affect our relationships, because it is possible for a natural thing to affect one’s eternal arrangement. The programme of our salvation is not in the hand of man, God directs it.
- The Lord programmes the time frame needed to deal with certain wrong formations in the soul of a man. For example, if a man is not patient with his wife, he might not be patient with his children. Children have endless needs and demands, as such, some parents excuse themselves from their children so often because parenting is seen as stressful. Men are becoming weaker and as such some people do not want to have children, but it is all a work of Satan ruining people.
- An incorruptible people, which has been the labour of God’s servant in the last few years, is greatly tied to what the prophecy ended with. That key (referred to in the prophecy) is love. Love is not a feeling, but a decision you make to look away from the shortcomings of others no matter how it makes you feel; and rather do the opposite.
- We get better at walking in love through practice. Practice is important because we desire to comprehend revelation and mysteries being declared to the company; else, one would slip. The Bible says that even the very elect will be deceived, except the Lord shows mercy (Matt. 24:24). What will prevent them from being deceived is that they have handled mysteries so much that they can tell that a mystery (of iniquity) is not the right one, especially when it is turning out the kind of results that everybody will ratify. That is one of the last battles we are going to have to fight. But it will be people who are caked on the inside with the nature of God.
- One way to judge a revelation is to check if it leads one to the Lord; to unveil a portion of Him to you. This is because some revelation only leads one to know something that just sounds very outlandish. The spirit of revelation is the description of the person of Jesus as couched in scripture that will change the soul. It is a ministration from Him, not something that someone has capacity to unearth of one’s own volition.
- You have to hope to the end for the grace that is brought at His revelation (1 Pet. 1:13). You wait for it. Sometimes, it may come while one is studying the Scriptures; at other times, it comes when one is doing a chore or obeying a commandment. As you obey, all of a sudden, something opens because it is greatly tied to obedience.
- The unveiling of mysteries empowers us to keep journeying. Jesus said God’s commandments are life everlasting (John 12:50); they are responsible for turning one from flesh to spirit, from spirit to divine, and from divine to incorruptible.
- The Lord is giving us a commandment to love, in addition to all the previous ones: thanksgiving, having a resilient nature, desiring to see the end of the faith, going headlong at all cost, and giving attention to growth. Also, you need to determine this year that your love walk will heighten. Love is the key to your own change.
Blessings!
