Anamnesis 2025 Day 2 Evening Session
Transcript Summary
1. The messianic prophecy in Isaiah 42:1,8 points to Jesus and describes Him saying, ‘Behold my servant’. The book of Revelation is the revelation or x-ray of a servant. It is the revelation of the chief servant of God, and it was given to John, a servant, and it is meant for servants.
2. In the palaces of Northern Nigeria, there is a title called ‘Sarkin Bayi’, which implies a ‘chief of servants’; it is a great honour to be the servant of the king. We, on the other hand, have been called to be servants of life because ‘servant’ is not a title but a form (Philp. 2:7).
3. We are meant to continue changing until we become the servant that God desires. Once we become that, God can release what He wants to release on us. God wants us to take on the form of a servant because He wants to deposit His glory upon mankind.
4. To be called His servant is not demeaning; it is actually an honour, so that we can be given the revelation and be shown the path that God will have us take back to Him. Unless you take the form of a servant, you cannot gravitate towards that throne.
5. We cannot change unless we wrestle. Jacob wrestled for his change (Gen. 32:24-25). His change was in the hand of that angel and the angel said Jacob prevailed over him. This is similar to how we wrestle not against flesh and blood but against spiritual wickedness in high places, who can use mundane things to distract you from the process of your change.
6. While there are more fierce battles ahead, the end of the battle has been declared from the beginning. The Revelation of Jesus Christ says that people from all tribes were sealed (Rev. 7:4). This means that God would win, and a massive number of men would make it.
7. The world will tell us that this yoke is not easy, but Jesus said that it is (Matt. 11:29). It is easy because God’s grace far outweighs the price you would pay, and that grace is being made available for you.
8. God resists the proud, but He gives grace to the low. The lower you are, the more He is with you, and you would fight that battle with His strength. What the Lord showed me is that in this wrestling, your stability is based on how low you are. It is as we take on the form of a servant that we stay low because lowliness is actually an inward posture.
Blessings!
