The Essence of Hearing the Voice of the High Priest

 Transcript Summary

  1. (Hebrews 1:8-9). Our exposure to the Son is our salvation. From the reading of these very things about the Son of God and His elevation, we see the weight of the personality that we are dealing with – that the nearer we draw to Him, the freer we become. This is His magnificence or power; it is the promise of nearness to the One we ought to encounter and draw near to. The closer the Church comes to the Lord, the more healing the Church will experience.
  1. The Church comes into greater healing when she is exposed to the person of the Son. If the weight of what Jesus represents comes to us in the measure of His closeness, the more deliverance we will have. The coming of the Son will always cause an earthquake against the hold that the adversary has over us. If our heart is not calling Him, He will not come, as He knows when hearts are desiring Him. Thus, we need to look for Him.
  1. (Hebrews 9:28). He does not appear to everyone but unto them that look for Him. Some carnal hearts think they already have Jesus, but they do not have Jesus yet because we have to look for Him. The New Birth does not commend us to the presence of God because the presence is very high; it is the hope that pierces presence (Heb. 6:19-20). If there is a forerunner, it means there is a race for us to run. The Forerunner has entered for us, and He is expecting us to run after Him into it.
  1. The race set before us is to culminate in our entering within the veil (Heb. 6:19), into the presence of God. It is in the presence of God that we find the High Priest. (Heb. 1:9-14). This is a very great ministry of the throne; it is the ministry of the High Priest. God did not say at any time to any angel to sit on His right hand. Those who will inherit salvation are the heirs of God; they are those who want to be saved. Thus, one is not a heir of God when God is not one’s  interest. We ought to inherit God. Jesus obtained a more excellent name than angels when He inherited God.
  1. (Hebrews 1:2). The word ‘spoken’ means the Father has made His mind known to us. The giving or presentation of the Son is a spoken word. When we see the Son, God has spoken to us. The Son of God is God’s gift through the word; He is a prophetic gift. The Prophet is a gift because He will bring the spoken blessings of God to us. Jesus will give Himself to us; as He is saying, He is giving. Jesus as a gift ought to be disseminated to us by words. The setting of the Son on the throne is the speaking of God. One who can read the Son can tell what God is saying.
  1. (Acts 7:37). Jesus was raised as the Prophet of the age to come, but men want to limit Him to one who can aid their natural achievements. The true authority of Jesus is not in addressing needs. However, needs would be met as one follows Jesus. While Jesus was on earth, He condescended to solve needs because men were low, but He did not stay there.
  1. (Hebrews 1:6-14). The ministry of Jesus is a ministry of giving things beyond heavens and the earth. Jesus wants to give us things beyond the heavens and the earth. It is in the commission of His ministry or work to fold the heavens and fold the earth. This is so that there would not be any obstruction to the things He wants to give. Jesus wants to fold heaven and earth in our souls.
  1. (Hebrews 1‬:10).Jesus is able to participate in laying the foundation of the new heaven and earth; He has capacity as He who is seated on the throne. This means He has access to powers that can make heaven and earth pass away. What Jesus has can remove heaven and earth from our souls. Angels are holders of the present, hence, when the angels were instructed to worship Him, it was an instruction for the present to worship the future. God raised a higher throne that can remove every other throne. The throne Jesus is seated on is a throne that is higher than every other throne.
  1. When God said the earth and the heavens are works that will perish but Jesus will remain, He meant Jesus should fold them up because they are works that are waxing old. They gave the honour of changing the present heavens and earth to Jesus, which is not to refurbish them but to remove them and bring in another. Jesus will bring the new heaven and earth because He is a throne that has the capacity to do that. Jesus is a Prophet of the future age. But Satan does not want us to be aware of the powers of Jesus; he does not want us to use the power of the Son of God who is at the right hand side. Jesus cannot be changed, but He has the ability to change things. Jesus will fold the heavens and earth as a vesture.
  1. Jesus will remain more than heavens; this means the age strength of Jesus and angels are not the same. One can tell the strength of the creatures of heaven seeing their habitat is waxing old. Satan is also growing weaker and weaker because he is old, the same way men are getting old. Jesus is so much better than angels as He has by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they (Heb. 1:4). The throne of angels does not have righteousness, but the sceptre of Jesus’ kingdom is righteousness. The present heaven does not have righteousness (2 Pet. 3:13). By the reason of the righteousness that excels, every other thing is not righteous. Righteousness is a product that cannot pass away when in place.
  1. (Mark 13:31; Hebrews 1:8). Everything Jesus teaches does not pass away. When Jesus said “My word”, He is talking about His throne, which are His things that do not pass away. He is ministering from an established throne which is on righteousness. It is a throne whose authority is righteousness. Scepter speaks of the strength of the throne, which is righteousness. The things we call righteousness are found in the Son. What the Son is in love with has a demand; you cannot have them when you do not love them.
  1. (Hebrews 1:9). Iniquity came from a material that God gave to angels but was perverted. It is a wickedness that is the opposite of the righteousness of the angels. So what Jesus loved was more than what the angels have; He loved what God has and who God is. Jesus loved it to the end. When seeking righteousness, there are things we must do. The things Jesus did on earth were righteousness; He was baptized to fulfil righteousness. His sufferings and dying on the cross were called for by righteousness. Going to hell was the demand of righteousness. The wrestling with self at Gethsemane was informed by righteousness.
  1. We should be very careful when it comes to the things of the Lord. No one should brag and talk. Jesus rode over His weakness to do God’s will. He had a will. It was His righteousness saying, “Let this cup pass”, then a higher righteousness was telling Jesus, “Not my will but Your will”. What was making Jesus say that is love. He loved righteousness. When scripture says that He feared God and was heard, that was the point He was rejecting His will for the holistic will of God. That was His path to exaltation. That Gethsemane experience was a war with self and darkness. After that prayer, Jesus finished the course of loving righteousness. He made up His mind for righteousness. He saw righteousness as something that must be done, and brought to manifestation the world of righteousness, which is the world of God. It came at a price because Jesus was a lover of God.
  1. To establish everlasting righteousness, someone must import it. God has to pass through someone to make Him come into the world. The world that God brought through Jesus was not known to creation; it is in the realm of the Creator. As such, Jesus came to birth what creation cannot access.
  1. The righteousness of God is what is seated on the throne; it is God. God never said to any angel at any time that they are His sons; this is because there is a responsibility to being born as His son. God giving birth to Jesus came at a cost. When God says He is giving birth to you, He is giving birth to a ‘righteousness’. There was no righteousness birth until Jesus was made sin for all mankind. Jesus then became the righteousness of God. If Jesus was not made the righteousness of God, we cannot. We are supposed to become the righteousness of God in Jesus. When these things are being revealed to us, we have to make up our minds not to sin. When we really see these things, we will reject the choice of our will and fall into God’s will, like Jesus did.
  1. Jesus is mighty to save. He is seated on the throne to save us to the uttermost. Because Jesus’ years shall not fail, anyone who hears what He is saying will remain just like Him. Jesus is speaking things that will make us remain. There are lesser and weaker foundations in us that ought to pass away. So, when we are before Jesus, the throne knows what exactly to shake so that the things that can remain will remain.
  1. (Hebrews 12:26-27). When He is shaking heaven, He is shaking some things inside us that are of wrong heavens which certain ministrations cannot touch. When we see people who are not easily turnable, there are things in them—the powers of Satan are inside them. We need the ministry of the High Priest to shake them. The things that are shaken are things someone made and put there, so we need a ministry that carries a voice that can actually make them move. When the High Priest comes, those things will begin to shake until they fall. So, there are kingdoms inside us that need to go. We have things that are not just of earth but of heavens, and they need to be shaken.
  1. When things are shaken from people, they will be healed. Some people are not easily turned because things are in them. So, the High Priest needs to speak. The ‘most holy man’ on earth needs to hear the High Priest. The final shaking is when we come to the ministry of the blood, which has the voice of the blood. The voice of the blood is the voice of the covenant; it is the voice of testament and prophecy. The blood speaks (to shake things and put better things in us).
  1. (Hebrews 12:24). The blood of Abel had limitations in dealing with things of the fallen angels, but the blood of Jesus is speaking better things that can deal with such things. We need a voice. We should pray that the voice of the throne should come upon us, because if not, we cannot receive the Kingdom. We need to hear the voice of His mouth. The Church is being robbed and cheated of the ministry of the High Priest (the Son) that believers are meant to enjoy. God is preparing for a greater shaking here. Earthquakes begin with the message of Christ. We need the voice of the High Priest in our core to remove that which is unremovable.

    Blessings!
