Understanding the Ways of the Word

Transcript Summary
1. (Hebrews 1:1-3; Hebrews 2:1-3). There is no way you can hold all things without the word of His power. He gave power for us to become the sons of God. He gave power to them that believe on His name. In John 1:12-13, the kind of power He gave is a power to become sons of God. It is the power of birth from blood, flesh, and will of God. This power is what makes up sonship. These powers are necessary for those who want to become sons of God, to have access to them and use them.
2. Reverend Kenneth Copeland laid the foundation of what I know in John 1:12-13, so I acknowledge the order in the spirit to be able to teach it. Some people lie concerning their ability to study, instead of acknowledging authorities. A lot of young men in ministries do unethical things—they go take materials of men who have walked with God and claim it as theirs on pulpits. It is beneficial to operate with humility in order to disseminate more light.
3. The feeling of being special is an evil spirit at work. Evil spirits are around ministers when ministering, making them self-acclaim things beyond their capacity. They know that their capacity cannot fetch from such ancient wells, they then go about shining with such. They do not want to bless people but want to project themselves. Reverend Kenneth E. Hagin would take from Kenyon, add it in his book and acknowledge him. It is a protocol of ethical men in the spirit. If the secular observes this, how much more the spiritual. We should be guided by this protocol. Let us not be quick to take glory; Peter and Paul did the same by referencing the prophets. The things the Lord is giving to us, when we behold them, we access their strength.
4. (Hebrews 5:12-13; Hebrews 2:2-3). The Lord spoke so great salvation. What the Lord was speaking while He was in the days of His flesh was so great salvation. It is agreed that the attitude of bringing things forth by utterance is an attitude of word. I can be wording, but I am not speaking the word. Anytime I am speaking, I am saying word, but I may not be speaking the word of God. To be able to get to that place of speaking the word of God, we have to check the content of the seed that is being said. Defining “word” in scripture is more than what is being said; word is a particular spirit in a particular state. Anytime one is saying a certain spirit that bears a particular resemblance and gives certain delivery of the constituency called word, that is when you are speaking the word. Quoting scriptures is speaking letter. One can be quoting scripture but he is not yet a speaker of the word. Also, one can speak more than the word and one can speak less than the word.
5. God wants to adopt students and train them to discern things. Things of God are more than the word. When Jesus used the word ‘things’ to qualify things to come that God has, we can define them depending on what they are. A disciple should know them. A disciple is one who had followed Jesus to learn all things.
6. (Isaiah 8:16; Revelation 22:8-11). To seal the law is to finish the law—to bring it into its conclusion. When you finish it, it is the same way as binding up the testimony and sealing the law. When the law is taught, it births testament. To bind up is to build up the testimony—the essence of the testament. To seal the law is to teach it among them only. To seal not here is to leave them—do not hide them. God has sealed it to John, but John should unseal it to the brethren coming. Before you can come to the law and the testimony, you must have been a disciple. The word of God makes you a disciple.
7. (John 8:31-32). The word qualifies you to be a disciple, then you come to know the truth. And the truth shall set you free. Jesus is saying “I am the way, I am the word, I am the truth, I am the law, and I am the prophecy”. Everlasting life begins with His word. It always starts with the seed of everlasting life. John said, “I bore the record of the word and the testimony of Jesus Christ.” If you meet Jesus and you are not His disciple, you can hear Him but you are not participating—you will not understand what He is saying. This means you are not in fellowship. You will be unable to fellowship with Him. Those who have joined that company who are disciples are the ones who will fellowship. To fellowship means to partake.
8. (1 John 1:3). Not everyone can fellowship, but salvation occus only through fellowship. If you are not in fellowship with God, you would not have access to that fellowship. There is a discussion between Jesus and the Father that we are not yet participating in. There are certain things they are saying that we cannot fathom. That is why when some are lost when they read Hebrews. That letter came from the fellowship of one man with everlasting beings. Fellowship is more than one having peace as a believer. When we sin, we can lose our peace. We should repent. We have an Advocate, and God is faithful to cleanse us. But we can have peace and yet we are not in fellowship. We will have peace concerning sins we do not know. So we need a fellowship to know that certain things are not allowed hre. Some people always say that the Lord is talking to them until the Lord talks to them beyond that.
9. One can have peace and no sense of guilt, but that does not mean such does not have sins. But when light comes, such needs to be meek, humble, and repent. One who submits to life should be ready for His reproof and rebuke. One who is reproved is being helped to attain a better state. A believer should not stand on a pedestal where they cannot be reproved. Some people feel that all things are already concluded and you see the joy on their faces. He wants a broken heart and contrite spirit.
10. If faith is not at work, there is a way one can hold on to milk and will not be flexible or malleable in the spirit. When you use (milk) faith for your life, you will not be able to live your life for another person to lead it. You need a higher faith to do that. That is maturity level. A child will hold on to everything, but a man will be able to let go and let God lead.
11. (1 John 2:13-14). These are not baby Christians and they are not Christs. These are children of the will of God. What the young men have is the word of God that abideth. The word that makes them overcome the wicked one is the word of God. The starting point is the children point. At Jordan, Jesus was both a young man and a father. He has the word of God and He has known Him who is from the beginning.
12. (Matthew 3:17). This statement was proven in that a few days later, He overcame the wicked one. He kept on saying, “It is written.” As a father, He had just known Him who is from the beginning but had not yet finished the covenant. As a young man, He was already strong and what remained was to overcome the wicked one.
13. (James 1:12). Jesus was full of the Holy Spirit before He entered Jordan, then He returned from the wilderness in the power of the Spirit. Jesus was not just having Spirit—He had got the power. It was not the fasting, it is the overcoming of the temptation that turned on the volume of power. He fought the wicked one. Everything that happened in the wilderness of temptation was not a blood fight—it was a flesh fight. The first temptation was flesh—turn this bread to stone. That was the design of the temptation. It is a temptation of flesh. He showed Him the world and lastly, he took Him to the pinnacle of this world.
14. When Satan brought the mountain, Jesus rebuked him, but he did not leave. Satan tempted Him because he has rights. When we check the measure of the temptation and their colour, it is a temptation of the flesh and the world. The temple is a temptation of the world in another version. The temple, that is, the glory of the people, slew the Pharisees. If the secular world is not getting one, the temple world will get one. If one rejects the world, one might not reject the temple. Jesus overcame the devil because the word of God abided in Him. Jesus was full of grace and truth.
15. (John 1:14; John 6:54). The Bible did not say He was full of life—this tells us that Jesus did not attain life even at age 30. He attained life at the age of 33. We must know the word, own the word, and have a grip on the word—not just have a vague understanding of the word. Jesus obeyed process. The Jesus that was glorified at Jordan did not have the same glory at the mount of transfiguration.
16. (Mark 4:13-14). This parable is the core of parables—it is the parable of the seed. This is the parable of the word, not the parable of the blood. It is a mystery. Before Jesus can take one to covenant, He will have to help one with His word. What Jesus is saying at a particular time matters. A disciple can know the type of saying that Jesus is bringing forth, whether it is about the testimony or His word.
17. People cannot inherit the word until what the word represents is done in them. There is something the word does in you. Having the word is not knowing letter—it is knowing a particular spirit, having fellowship with it, and having the work done in you. Then you will know that this person has God’s word. If someone has the word, there should be a record of the word. The word should bear record in one. The word should have recorded an affinity between you and Him—this means the word has its place in you or has worked in you. If not, testimony cannot work in you. This is blessing.
18. The way to continue in the word is just to continue. The word has a deliverable concerning incorruption. The record of the word must tally with an incorruptible record. To know that the word has worked in a man means that the word has cut through the man—it has worked its way in him. That tells that the word is alive. It is the living word of God. What John was bearing as a record is the word—it is a spirit that has a way (Rev. 1:2). The word will not just come and drop on one, it will pour out His workings in one. That working is a way that shows that one bears its record.
19. One can know the way of righteousness and turn from it. One can turn from the holy commandment. One can know the way, but that does not mean one has the way. The word of God is a way. If it is a way, it is a spirit. The word is a sword. A sword is a path. If one has a sword in one, we should see it as a path. The word should construct itself inside you. Without the word of God, there are certain things one would not be able to hold. One would not hold its covenant. The word of God is the grace to one—when one has the word, it is the grace to hold truth. Word is a spirit; truth is a spirit.
20. “(John 17:17) Sanctify them through Thy truth: Thy word is truth.” When the word is placed beside the testimony, it ceases to be truth. When one glory is higher, it excels and the other comes to a decrease—like John, who was a shining light but dimmed when Jesus arrived. When the word of God is alone, it is also truth. Word is truth—not all of it—it is the beginning of truth. The word is not all the truth that we need. It is the same God who has the word that says He has another Spirit which is more than the word, called truth. When we have done the covenant, we should get to a place where life is now given. One can have both and yet not have life. Jesus did not get into all of life at once—He grew.
21. (John 1:15-17). Jesus would not give one life immediately. What He will readily give is grace and truth. Knowledge is not grace; it brings the word. Grace is multiplied through knowledge (2 Peter 1:2). One can have knowledge and ]not have grace.
22. (2 Peter 1:2-3). Godliness is life; it is what is against worldliness. This world is not works of the flesh, it is life (inverted). When someone is pursuing this world, he is pursuing promise. This is what makes a person become an enemy; when God wants to take it from them, they react. If anything in this world is still valuable in one’s hand, then one is not yet saved.
23. When Jesus is speaking the word, He is saving us by the word. There is a way, a spiritual programming, a mind, a spirit, in the word. The word is a special capsule of a way. When one takes it in, it will work itself, go into one’s (spiritual) veins, serve the cells, and minister to one’s molecules. When one allows it, then it will become an inheritance in one’s mind. The secret of God’s glory is in the word. The word is the secret. The covenant is the power. Glory is life.
24. (2 Peter 1:3-4). Divine nature is life; it is virtue and glory. You cannot start the course of the divine nature until you journey to a place where you become His disciple. A disciple is one whom the law and testimony is committed to (Isa. 8:16). If there is no giving of the law, there would not be the adoption and the glory. When law is given, then hope for covenant has come.
25. There are services of God—service by the word. When the word comes, your response to the way of the word is your service. You are serving God by responding to the way of the word. When the word as a way is working in you, then you are serving God. If you do not see it, it will not come. When you do not see spiritual things, they would not be given to you. When you see the word, God knows you have seen it. Imagination is given to one as a gift to see invisible things of God. Imagination is image-making. An unfruitful soul is one that cannot imagine. When a soul is taking part in a thing, he is imagining. When one has imagination, there would not be trouble with understanding.
26. (1 John 1:1). A good preacher should preach the imagination of what is not seen. Satan makes us busy with the warfare of the seen so that our imagination would not be fruitful (2 Corin. 4:18). A fruitful man is a man who can participate in the unseen. One is dead according to God if he cannot be awoken to see what others cannot see.
28. Priests are chefs. The metal and the ephod are for food—to bake the word so it can be eaten. Chefs do not bake only. A chef that bakes is a baker. There are other works of the chef that deal with blood. So we should move from bread to blood. A complete chef is not just a baker—he handles all cuisines (Ps. 23:5). One should eat the bread and have the testimony and the word.
29. The word is the great secret of all ages. We must understand the word and know the efficacy of the word. There is something the angels have—they speak word. They have their word and anytime the angels say it, it becomes steadfast. It is their life, their inheritance—it is part and parcel of them.
30. (1 Peter 1:23). You need to be born again of the incorruptible seed. Anyone who has undergone the birth and workings of the word will live and abide forever. There are two things in the word—thirst and hunger. The word should satisfy hunger and quench thirst. Eating and drinking are both birth canals. An eater lives—a drinker abides. The word we drink is the water of the word. We should not just have ways—we should have rivers or waters.
31. (Isaiah 43:19). There are two things—“I will make way” and “cause rivers to flow”. You do not just have the seed—you have its water. The word is a seed and a rain (Isa. 55:11). This is so that all the description of the word shall be full in one. One should not just have path; water should be flowing on the path, like the street of the city having water flowing (Rev. 22:1-2). Water is the spirit of the way. Anyone who has the word of God has both water and the path. Anyone who has that can satisfy any hunger and quench any thirst. One who has a well that is dry is one who has a path without water.
32. There are two ways in the word. There is one way for the other way. So the actual way is the water; the actual word is the water. There is a path to life, but there is the water of life. It can only take water to get one to life. We should picture path and way, and see it as spirit. Also, picture water and see it as another spirit. Both of them are word—the word of God. They both live and abide. You need the path and you need the water. It is like having a container without the spirit. The path itself is a living way, but we should also have living water. No one can have living water without the living way. You cannot pour living water in a way that is not living. Hence, there is a need for a system that can hold the water.
33. (Isaiah 40:3-4). All the Lord is doing is redesigning the heart with His word to bring water. However, word and waters alone cannot wipe tears away (Rev. 7:17). It is the place of the covenant that can deal with the tears, death, sorrow, and pain that are also from a (wrong) covenant.
Blessings!
