The life of God being served to us (via teachings) is meant to kill us. There is a death in each life that God gives. Death here does not refer to a death towards God but towards things of the adversary. The life of Christ is the life of God that is not everlasting. Being baptized into Christ is baptism into His death. “Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?” (Romans 6:3). This baptism is not just referring to the state of our spirit.
At the New Birth, we believe in the raising of the dead spirit. “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” (Romans 10:9-10). This is a verse that is authenticated and written firstly for the unbelievers for him to get born again. Only then can he confess his sins. An unbeliever cannot confess his sins. In the book of Acts of the Apostles, unbelievers were never asked to confess their sins, instead they were only required to believe. Believing is the key to the quickening of their spirits.
The spirit of anyone who is born again was baptized into Christ (Rom. 6:3). If we follow the flow of thoughts from Chapter one of the book of Romans, we will see that the Roman Church had not only experienced the baptism of the spirit, but also the soul baptism. The baptism of the spirit happened through a simple prayer that resulted into a quickening. However, the baptism of the soul into Christ requires the knowledge of what took place in the spirit. This knowledge is called the doctrine of Christ. The teaching of the life of Christ is what is effective if we want to see a change in the life of a believer.
The new creation reality message can be a veil because it’s a confession of identification alone. However, that confession is not enough to expose or unveil the life of Christ to a person. The new creation reality is not the doctrine of Christ, though it’s a confession of a reality that happened to the spirit. It should not be confessed for the soul as life. It amounts to the milk of the word for us to only confess the life of Christ without learning the doctrine. One can enjoy certain benefits by such confession, such as freedom from oppression, sicknesses etc. The confession of the new creation reality is effective to a baby Christian, even to an adult as inspired by the Holyghost. Sometimes, one needs to teach some people new creation reality in order to wash their minds from false doctrines of demons.
The Roman Church was baptized into Christ and into His death (Romans 6:3). That death is the death of Christ. When God was raising our Lord Jesus from the dead, He raised three persons; Christ, the Son of God and the Only Begotten Son. If God only raised the Only Begotten Son, we would not have had a part in His resurrection. Our spirits were raised together with Christ because we were baptized into His death at New Birth. At New Birth, our spirits died to sin. This means that resurrection is a death to sin. However, our souls need to be taught this lesson of death. The soul must be baptized into the doctrine of Christ, so that it can also die to sin and death.
If a minister teaches Christ’s doctrine without His death, He is not teaching the doctrine at all. The full preaching of Christ is one that includes the preaching of His death (1 Corin. 2:2). It includes how our Lord Jesus obeyed God and died completely to flesh and the suggestions of Satan. Our Lord Jesus did not grow like every other person, even though he had the opportunity to take on the Jewish life. Part of Jesus’ death curriculum is for Him not to marry. Jesus knew He had a lot of sacrifice and things to grow into. Thus, He grew into separation. The first agreement Jesus entered was to grow into Christ. The first calling of Jesus was for Him to be the Christ. Without becoming Christ, He could not become the Son of God.
Jesus was not born as Christ but as a baby, in the likeness of sinful flesh (Romans 8:3). It was this sinful flesh that became Christ, and thereby accessed the first life that God has. However, God is higher than Christ; He is the head of Christ (1 Corin. 11:3). Christ is a life of the separated one; He is the Nazarene of God. Christ is the man who God can bless and whom He has approved. Christ is the man that is not in condemnation (Romans 8:1). Every flesh was already condemned, but a man came who lived away from the lusts of flesh and men so that God began to bless Him.
From the age of twelve (12), the child Jesus was filled with wisdom, after which He became Jesus. The child Jesus was raised from childhood to become Jesus who can learn Christ. He learnt Christ until He became a man in His twenties. Then God began to teach Him everlasting life. At age thirty (30), He had matured. Jesus must have acquired His thirty (30) fold stature at Jordan; sixty (60) fold at the Mount of Transfiguration and hundred (100) fold at death (Matt. 13:8). The hundred-fold stature is needed to confront death. Our Lord Jesus already had the fullness of everlasting life by the time He was sent to the cross. He was made a sacrifice to annihilate everything called sin.
“For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.” (2 Corin. 5:21). Jesus was made the highest kind of sin. Sin here does not refer to obvious offenses like fornication. To be made sin is to be made death. He was made sin so that we can be made the righteousness of God. This righteousness of God is not Christ’s righteousness as in Romans 1:16-17, but the righteousness of the abiding Son of God (John 8:35). We should be made this righteousness of God so that we can access Eternal Life. It will take God’s righteousness to attain Eternal Life.
The next death after the death to sin that Christ avails is the death in everlasting life. Christ's life or baptism is death but there is another baptism. Cups speak of baptisms in the spirit. Everlasting life is also a baptism, and it is a higher death to a higher sin. What we drink and eat should kill us. How dead you are to sin tells the amount of life you have. One cannot be half alive and overcome sin and death. You must be dead to everything the devil stands for to overcome him. So, death is God’s technology of defeating Satan. God is completely dead to Satan and can never be tempted by Satan even as an everlasting Father. Much more, as an Eternal God, He is higher than death or anything that Satan can offer.
The life of Christ cannot flow out or find expression if the cross is not acknowledged or preached. The cross communicates a death to God’s enemy (the old man). A believer who is not dying is not living. Preaching Christ together with the world is a wrong presentation of Christ. To properly present Christ or give life to people, Christ must be presented with His crucifixion (1 Corin. 2:2). The cross is Christ’s death.
Christ is dead to sin. “There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.” (Romans 8:1-2). Freedom from the law of sin and death is death to it. Satan’s life, which we call death, is a kind of life that men live. Sin and death is a life. Satan departed from God by dying to Him. He became free of God by death. Satan invented a death by murdering his life and taught other angels to murder their lives so they can be free from God. The death that Satan serves is not a physical death. Physical death is only a result of the perpetuation of iniquity overtime which causes a weakening of the body over time.
If Satan has the power to make the body live long, he will do it so that sin can continue for long. Satan is not primarily interested in the physical falling of the body. The falling of the physical body only helped us know that there is already a problem with man. If the body did not fall, we will not have known that man has fallen. This is because we have been brought to flesh and convinced about our life. God removed his hand from the body and allowed death to run its cause in the outward man. What Satan did could not sustain the outward man. Satan is a perpetuator of a lie, his life is not sustainable. What he invented is not real life but death. It’s called death because the life dies. When you meet with Satan, he will not present himself as death but as life. Satan told Adam that he will not surely die when he eats of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil (Gen. 3:4-5). This is why it is not good for a man to meet Satan when he has not been well prepared or built. Satan presented death to Adam as life and he died when he accepted the offer.
There are two sides to God’s life: life and death. Behind every life is a death program. There is no life without its death. Death is the seal of life. When one is having life, he or she is dying. A corn that is sown in the ground must first die to live. This is an ordinance that God created not Satan. So it was God who first formulated death, it is what runs God. Thus, God brought the technology of death and gave it to Jesus. The only way to overcoming Satan is to kill him in ourselves. God designed that we obey Him and die to Satan. To die to Satan, we should obey a law that is contrary to what he stands for.
Everlasting life is a higher death in God than Christ. Everlasting life is not about enjoying the ephemerals of this present life. We must be careful of the life that we are enjoying because it may not be the life of God but one that Satan has designed to separate us from God. Life and death can separate one from the love of God (Rom 8:38).
Satan is a creator of life. The miracle of the false prophet is to give life to image so that the image can speak (Rev. 13:15). They want to sound as a life giver, but they don’t give life. Everlasting life is a higher resolve in God. In everlasting life, you will know how to die higher. The degree of death to sin in Christ is lower to the degree of death in the Son of God. An everlasting man will die completely to Satan and all he stands for. The man child company who obeyed everlasting life to the end died completely to the life of the dragon and all he stands for (Rev. 12:11). Loving not our lives is required in order to overcome Satan. A man who has Christ nature can still be tempted with his life.
Behind everlasting life is God’s program of death. God is resolving and reconciling the issue of removing iniquity from us completely. We would be exposed to truth that will kill the idea of iniquity thriving in our lives.
Every life is a baptism. The tabernacle is a typology of the Kingdom of God as it contains the Court, the Holy Place, and the Holy of Holies. The Outer Court has one life, the Holy Place has one life, while the Holiest has two lives (everlasting and Eternal Life). Everything contained in these places are dead. The furniture there have been subjected to torture so that it will not be tempted. It is dried, paved and dressed. This is what makes that wood very key in the tabernacle. You can never be used by God if you have not been worked upon and processed.
The furniture of the Most Holy Place is the ark. The ark is a coffin. The priests who bear the ark are undertakers. The ark is a wood that is completely dead, from the Outer Court to the Holy Place and the Most Holy Place. The staves of the ark are everlasting arms. Without everlasting life, one cannot bear the ark. When drawn, the two staves can reach the veil. In the Old Testament, when the staves were drawn, the glory of God descended and filled all the regions of the tabernacle. This is what will happen to us, the glory of God shall be revealed out of us into our Outer Court. However, this will not happen if we have not been made dead like the furniture of the tabernacle. God is interested in making arks. An ark is a keeper of God’s testimony. When God has put His testimony inside us, we have become an ark or a witness to God. However, we must first obey the everlasting arms until we become the ark of God.
“And the temple of God was opened in heaven, and there was seen in his temple the ark of his testament: and there were lightnings, and voices, and thunderings, and an earthquake, and great hail.” (Rev. 11:19). “And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars:” (Rev. 12:1). The woman is the temple while the baby is the ark of God. There were thunderings because of the baby; this is because the baby has God’s testimony. We cannot become an ark until we have fully obeyed the terms or demands of the testament. Only then can we be caught up to God. There is no Eternal Life without being caught up; that is the key into Eternal Life. The reward of everlasting life is Eternal Life. We have to be caught up to God and His throne (Rev. 12:5). This does not refer to physical rapture but a rapture of the soul. Our souls must be caught up to God.
We cannot know the only true God without being caught up (John 17:3). Some would not be caught up to God because they were not changing, they were not obeying the laws of everlasting life. The change is the overcoming of the dragon. The dragon wants us to retain his own image in our souls. The warfare is to retain a property of the dragon which we may not quickly recognize. The way the dragon painted his image in us is a hidden secret law called life. The dragon is a life formation that can be destroyed. The dragon is staying in the air by his life in men. However, God wants to raise people who will vomit this life of the dragon completely, until the life dies.
Teachings will be given for us to learn to hate the dragon’s life. We cannot be sons of God without hating the life that is in Satan. There is a life Satan has and that life can be loved. That life is actually a love. Satan was a love being before he fell; he was amongst the angels who possessed the love of God to the fullest. Satan was filled with love because wisdom is love (Ezek. 28:12). Satan was a love being who was so much in love with God that he would bear incense from the holy mountain up to God untouched. But on a certain day, that love turned into hate because Satan became selfish. Selfishness that is now common among men came from Satan. Selfishness was an alien thing in the universe, it was brought by a fallen angel (Lucifer). The testimony of Jesus is what will deal with the root of selfishness.
A dead man is a selfless man, who will not seek his own. The contamination of ministry is selfishness; selfishness is a teaching. The message of ‘my own’ is a terrible message and a philosophy of death. Such messages are trying to make us our own masters. When Satan asks us to do our own things, he wants us to come under him. We are meant to die to our own because we are meant to do God’s own. We are meant to do ministry like dead men; ministry should not excite us. The furniture in the tabernacle are not excited, they are dead. All manner of things is offered on them and they don’t talk. The priests and Levites are the sacrifices, they don’t have their own lives. Our entire life is not ours; it is for someone who died and rose from the dead (2 Corin. 5:15).
Eternal life is eternal death; it is the death that God would serve for us to die to Satan. It is not enough to die everlastingly, God will come again to raise us into a higher death. Raising you into death is giving you a higher life. A man who is eternally immune to self would not be tired of serving God. A man who has not finished the work of everlasting life can still be tempted and if such a man is sat on the throne of God, the throne of God would immune him eternally. However, God would not make such a mistake.
Eternal Life is to seal a man eternally. Eternal Life is beyond saving a man to the uttermost but to raise from the uttermost (Heb. 7:25, John 6:44). That resurrection is to become more dead. It is the giving a high voltage of death. Eternal Life is pleasure but there is the back end of the Life. Eternal Life is life forever more. It is good that God would take us through such a death program because an angel once turned from the death program that God put in him. Lucifer became alive in himself. Everlasting life is the development of a will to go into Eternal Life, it is not a robotic life. It is to prove to God that you are willing to eat of the good that God is (Isa. 1:19).
