Topic: The Purpose of Indoctrination Into the Way of the Son
Transcript Summary
- (Genesis 6:12) It was evident that there was a way that was hidden; but there were ways which when used and imbibed would cause one to find the way both to the Sanctuary/Holy Place (which the garden of Eden represents) and the Most Holy (which is the midst of the garden).
- (Proverbs 30:19) Everything has ways. Ways are written in nature; everything that has life has ways. In Genesis 3 and 6 where it was written that the way to the tree of life was hidden, there were also ways that sons of Adam knew until they came to a place where God said that His spirit would no longer strive with man (Gen. 6:3).
- By walking in disobedience and following the seed of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, Satan developed ways in the soul of man, turning the soul to wilderness (Isa. 43:19). A wilderness is a place that does not have life. Satan succeeded in teaching men evil and wicked ways, making sure the soul of man became a wilderness — a state of life separated from the life of God.
- (Isaiah 43:19). To make a way in the wilderness is the teaching of Christ. A new thing is the learning of the laws of the new man (Christ). This is a soul that is dry and that which the ways of sin and death has been encroached on through obedience to the laws of sin and death. Satan encroached into the mind of man such that the mind that used to be living became ‘gentilic’— darkened, blinded and separated from the life of God (Eph. 4:18).
- There is a way that seemeth right to a man, but the end of it is destruction (Prov. 14:12); this led to the destruction of the earth by Genesis 7 — the Lord destroyed all flesh on the earth. One of the reasons the Lord is emphasizing the restoration of the way of the Lord upon the earth is so that there will not be sudden destruction on our streets. The sons of God were destroyed because they chose their way. When men choose their ways, it is expressed in disobedience.
- (Matthew 7:13-14). The way that leads to destruction is broad; the way that leads to life is narrow and only few would find it. We should seek the way of life, but we cannot seek and find it without a new thing being done in us or without our making a way in the wilderness in us. This is because we need a way to find a way. The few that will find it are those who have made a way in their wilderness and God has started doing a new thing in.
- Making the heart of flesh is how They deal with every desert. The making of the heart of flesh is to convert our wilderness to a fruitful field, then the fruitful field will be turned to a forest — everlasting life (Isaiah 32:15). A fruitful field is what Paul wrote to the Colossians, that the believers should walk worthy of the Lord onto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work (Col. 1:10). They want to turn the wilderness to a fruitful field (2 Chron. 7:14).
- We are to make a covenant of life and peace. We cannot make a covenant until we have served — there is service that must come before the covenant. The way cannot be revealed until we are ready to serve. One of the things the way would make us is servants of righteousness and servants of holiness, and we cannot serve without the revelation of ways.
- Moses was a servant of God because he had His ways. There is a way to serve the Lord Jesus. Paul taught that servants must not do eye service; such is a “gentilic” way because they are looking for gain. We are not looking for gain; we are looking for godliness and contentment which is great gain.
- (Colossians 3:22). Paul instructed that servants must obey their masters. When we are tired and when we are not tired, we must serve. This is how we alter natures and avenge disobediences. It is in service that our soul is converted from wilderness. Wanting to do things the way we want to do it and when we want to do it is a function of wil
- derness.
- We cannot take everlasting inheritance until we can become a fruitful field, meaning new things have been done in the soul. When the patriarchs want to transfer blessings, they look for the fruitful field (Gen. 27:27). We cannot be a field until the wilderness of the soul has been converted by doing a new thing upon the soul.
- Becoming a fruitful field is tied to our obedience in our place of work, relationship with our spouse, and raising children gently without grieving them. The essence of these obediences is to make us fruitful, to walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful unto every good work. It is when we are a fruitful field that we can receive the blessing (Ps. 24:5).
- (Revelation 1:1-3). The revelation of Jesus is to reveal the Word of God. The Word of God is the building of the house of God, as well as the testimony of Jesus, to make the house lively. The word of God is to raise a house both living and abiding.
- To do His will is to serve the living God acceptably until when the living God accepts our persons; and we know that God is no respecter of person. If any man will do His will means if any man will serve what is in His heart. To learn the doctrine is to see God's works, to see His judgement being hewn out. We cannot know Him without His ways. If any man would do His will, He must know God's doctrine.
- Until the ways of the Lord are revealed, God cannot work. If we want God to work in us both to will and to do of His pleasure, His ways must be revealed to us. If He withholds doctrine from us, that means He is not going to work but will act, just like He did with the children of Israel in parting the Red Sea.
- To build us up in the season of the word of God is to pierce and divide spirits which is the spirit of the soul and heart, to expose the kind of spirit that is running a soul. The word divides between the soul and the spirit, and of joint and marrow, covenant and testimony; and the word is a discerner of thoughts and intents of the heart.
- When ways are built in the soul, then God can track the soul and its thoughts; Satan cannot have his way in such a soul. The way would allow God to work in us and He would be able to track the devices and the wiles of the wicked so that the enterprise of Satan would not work in the soul. We must submit ourselves, as the more we serve and do His will, we become servants till covenant is made.
- The destination of Jesus Christ is to make servants the prophets — those who have made covenant. He also wants to make brethren the prophets — those who have testimonies. One can be a servant without covenant but to make covenant, one needs to serve and offer sacrifice; love of the brethren, meekness, lowliness and patience. These sacrifices are what the husbandman seeks in a man (Mal 3:17).
- A season of testimony would not be opened until we have served. We must serve the Lord until we break into that season. When we follow the Lord, enduring chastening might look grevious, but those are the seasons of temptation. Every servant in the court of the living God would be tempted. One of the things that will deliver us is ways (Matt 6:13).
- (Malachi 3:16). To fear the Lord is to have covenant (Mal. 2:5). That fear is a law or spirit that they have received into their soul. We should serve God till we can make covenant. When we make covenant, then we are servants the prophets; then we can move to become brethren the prophets, having the testimony. We must take the testimony of Jesus which is in the blood. We must also serve with testimony. The place of not loving your life is a scourge and you will feel pain, but this is what our Lord Jesus did (Rev 12:11).

- In everlasting life, we have a season of babies where we have babes of everlasting life; we also have children of everlasting life. Then when everlasting life would be raising adults, that is when we would be introduced to the word of God. That is when we become the servants of His way.
- The first adult way is the word of God which liveth and abideth. Then we come into the season of the blood. If we have not served well, then we cannot come into the season of the blood. The ministry of the blood begins with covenant. When we come to the blood, we are not just a servant of the way, we are becoming a servant of the covenant.
- After we have matured on the way, then we have the capacity to cut covenant, and then we move past obedience to deal with blood. The ministry in the blood begins with us making covenant. It is at the end of everlasting life that we come to the ministry of the blood. These are the soldiers that can deal with the dragon.
- Young men of everlasting life can overcome the wicked one but not the dragon. The dragon is more than a wicked one. So we must not be weary, we must go far into the ministry of the blood. The end of the ministry of the blood is to gain the kindred nature. It is there we become brothers.
- Only brethren can overcome the dragon. There is something about the brethren-hood — the season of the testimony. The season of the covenant is different from the season of testimony. After we have made covenant, we must press to have the testimony and become brethren.
