“This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth” (1 John 1:5-6). A man cannot have fellowship with God just immediately he got born again. This is similar to how a child or baby cannot fellowship with His dad because both of them are not thinking at the same level. The fellowship that a baby Christian can have is a baby fellowship that is in the Holyghost.
There is a lot of things deposited in the Holy Ghost. The Holy Ghost has different manifestations, and that is why He can fellowship with babies. The fellowship of the Holy Spirit grows with age; it increases and becomes stronger. So our fellowship in the spirit can be better.
A believer cannot fellowship with the Father at New Birth. To fellowship with God is to think at God’s level. The Holyghost can interact with us and even pet or pamper us when we are still babies. The Holyghost can make you feel His overwhelming presence and tell you He loves you. Those are spiritual pampering done by the Holyghost to children.
A believer cannot step into the zone of fellowship mentioned in 1 John 1:6 if the message of God (being light) has not been declared to him. The declaration of God as light to a believer should induce or initiate fellowship with Him. The reason why you’re hearing the gospel of salvation is so that you can have capacity to take what God will give, when you will be having thought interactions with Him. God will want you to think the way He thinks, so He needs to change your thought pattern (Isaiah 55:8-10).
There is something about the remission of sins. God cannot take sins away from the soul of a man without his agreement or cooperation. Sin doesn’t just go, it bargains for space. So God constantly watches our will to see if we are willing to let go of the sins in our souls. If a man is not prepared to let go of his sins, it will remain with him. This means that it’s possible for the sins in the soul of a man to be retained.
There is a deception in the Church concerning what sin really is; we have a wrong perception or judgment about sin. Sin is not just an obvious offence but a wisdom that is at work in people. When you are refusing cleansing, you are cooperating with sin. Sin is a genetic inheritance; it constitutes things that are genetically infused in a man by wrong birth. Sin married human birth. A man who comes from a family where everyone is always angry is liable to be angry too. Sin does not want to be known by men, so it blinds our eye to its actual occupation in the soul. There is a way sin puts a protective program around its plantation.
To a degree, sin has shame. So some people don’t involve in certain things because they don’t want to be ashamed. So if that shame is removed, they will dive into sin. We carry tendencies to sin. So, it’s not easy to take remission when offered by its word because they are in us by agreement. Sins are remitted by preaching, so when John the Baptist was remitting sins, he was doing that with knowledge.
Knowledge administers medicine to sins. The presence of sins in us births ignorance. Anywhere you find sin, you will find ignorance. Knowledge illuminates the base where sin inhabits, so you can have wisdom to relinquish it. Knowledge is important to show you the lie behind sin or the lie that sin has been telling. The hold of sin is the lie it teaches. Many people are held down because sins have deceived them. “But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin” (Heb. 3:13). Some people sound or look spiritual, but when light shines, their true state will be revealed. So it’s not everyone who can submit immediately to the program of cleansing by the word.
Washing with the water of Christ is a training or an awakening of one’s understanding. When washing comes, your eyes of understanding are enlightened. Sin is also an understanding. Sin is tied to understanding. “This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye henceforth walk not as other Gentiles walk, in the vanity of their mind, Having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart:” (Eph. 4:17-18). Darkened understanding produces another life; it cuts one off from the life of God.
Understanding is very key to removing sins from the soul; this is because sin is resident or retained in our souls by (another) understanding. Sin darkened our understanding to the life of God and sheds light (understanding) for its own life. This is so that we would constantly serve sin. Serving sin is obeying the light of sin. However, a man who receives or embraces the light of Christ when it comes will change service; such would resign from being a servant of sin in order to serve the life of God.
“But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you. Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness.” (Romans 6:17-18). This Church were made free from sin because they served or obeyed something else; they obeyed the doctrine of Christ. To obey doctrine is to obey light. Doctrine is understanding (Isa. 28:9). When a man is understanding doctrine, he would be resigning from or relinquishing his previous service.
It’s a great thing (or deliverance) not to serve sin anymore. Many people are not aware that they are still in service of sin. This is why churches should be powerful enough to stop people from serving sin. Churches are meant to deliver people from serving sin so that they can serve God. However, a man cannot stop serving sin without being introduced to a form of doctrine that he will obey from the heart.
True service is a body of instructions or principles that cannot be reached without understanding. So doctrine contain principles of service for deliverance. God wants to open our understanding so that we can do things that will terminate our service to sin. God cannot stop you from serving sin except you serve something else. You kill or stop a wrong service by another doing service.
The soul is always engaged in service, it cannot be idle or neutral. A man’s soul is either serving righteousness or serving sin. So Apostle Paul said that the Church was made free from sin because they obeyed the doctrine of Christ. This is the gospel that stops one from serving sin. “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.” (Romans 1:16).
The gospel of Christ is the gospel of deliverance. This is the doctrine that begins to free a man from sin. The power of God unto salvation is the revealed righteousness of God. The word “revealed” means understood. You cannot have this righteousness except it is first revealed. This righteousness is revealed to a man from faith to faith until he gets to salvation.
Whosoever speaks against the revealed righteousness of God has no understanding. Whosoever desires to be free from sin must go for revelation. There is no freedom without revelation. A man cannot be free from sin by having men of God pray for him. As a matter of truth, many men of God have not been freed from sin. A man will not be free from sin just by attending a Bible school; it is only the gospel that can set one free.
Sin can make one outwardly busy, even in Christianity. A man can be so busy or zealous for God, and yet, he has not been freed from sin. God (in His infinite mercy) won’t condemn such a man, but He has expectations that his eyes of understanding will someday be enlightened. Satan is doing everything to make sure that the righteousness of God is not revealed to men. Anywhere righteousness is taught, it spells freedom from the secret work of the devil, and men will be free from sins.
Sin is so programmed that a man cannot get out of it by his own strength. The only way to get out of service to sin is by obeying righteousness. A man’s service to sin stops when he begins to commit himself to the revelation of righteousness. A man is set free from sin as he obeys this revealed righteousness from faith to faith. “And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.” (1 Corin. 13:13). Hope is a higher faith, Charity is the end of faith.
Faith equips and trains a man to relinquish his service to sin by the mercies of God. Faith converts a man into another personnel that serves righteousness. You cannot use the same mindset or understanding you use in serving sin to serve the righteousness of God that’s revealed from faith to faith. So there has to be a total overhauling of understanding; the previous understanding must be removed, and another is installed for one to serve the righteousness of God that’s revealed from faith to faith.
We serve righteousness from faith to faith until we get to salvation. When a man gets to salvation, he will be introduced to another higher righteousness.
“Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness? Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness. But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life.” (Romans 6:16, 18, 22).
Serving righteousness is serving God. There is a righteousness of God to salvation, but there is also the righteousness of God which is salvation. A man who has very well served the righteousness of God will have his fruits unto holiness and have everlasting life at the end. The “end” here is the end of serving God or serving the righteousness of God which is salvation.
The wage of the righteousness that is unto salvation is called life and peace. In otherwords, whosoever serves this righteousness will inherit life and peace. The wage of the other righteousness (which is salvation) is called everlasting life. So we serve God in order to have everlasting life. Everlasting life cannot be reaped except through service to everlasting righteousness. The wage of righteousness is life and peace while the wage of everlasting righteousness is everlasting life. Life and peace are life at two levels. Peace is also life.
The righteousness unto salvation is the means by which we get free from sin. Man was first taught by sin and deceived away from God; it makes us servants in preparation for the coming evil. There are two offices in training: tutors and governors (Gal. 4:2). Sin is a teacher while iniquity is a governor. Sin is a resource personality but iniquity is highly resourceful than sin. Iniquity governs. A sanctuary priest is a teaching priest, while an everlasting priest is a governing priest. An everlasting priest uses Urim and Thummim. Similarly, someone who is handling iniquity can rule. An iniquity personnel has a high sense of dominion; he has judgment.
There is righteousness and there is everlasting righteousness. Similarly, there is sin and there is everlasting sin called iniquity. Priesthood must have an everlasting side to it because of how long sin is. Everlasting life is a provision against things that Satan has done. Everlasting sin is not small; it is also great and marvellous. So God did a commensurate work against it. Doctrine (of Christ) sets a man free from sin, but everlasting doctrine will redeem or save him from iniquity.
We need a greater grace from the doctrine of everlasting righteousness. “Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear:” (Heb. 12:28). The kingdom that can be moved is Satan’s everlasting kingdom and it must be moved before one can receive a Kingdom which cannot be moved. This is why shaking the earth is not enough, heaven needs to be moved also. An example of such wrong heaven is the prevalent mindset that a man must be relevant in society if he claims to be serving or pleasing God. The peak of some believers’ prayer is that God will make them stand out among their peers. Meanwhile, our prayer should rather be that the Lord will shine His face on us (Numb. 6:25).
“And this word, Yet once more, signifieth the removing of those things that are shaken, as of things that are made, that those things which cannot be shaken may remain.” (Heb. 12:27). God wants to remove things that are not original from the beginning, though they look like the original. They are the things that are made and they cannot be removed except heavens are shaken. The heaven that is being shaken is that of Lucifer. This is the perverted heaven that is supplying men the understanding of how they should live on earth. This heaven is a kingdom. It means that the offering of Satan to mankind is a dominion.
The kingdom that cannot be moved is iniquity or wickedness. Sin is a dominion but evil is a higher dominion and that’s what the devil epitomises (Rom. 6:14). So we need shaking to take that dominion away from the hearts of men. You can shake the outside of a man and his inside is not shaken. Shaking the physical stars, moon etc won’t change the way men are thinking. So the shaking being referred to here is that of the inner arrangement of men, so that what ought to remain will remain in our souls. This shaking will automatically take place when a man is turning from His wicked ways and an unrighteous man is turning from his unrighteous thoughts.
“Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.” (Psalm 1:5). This judgment time is a time of shaking. “For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God? And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear?” (1 Peter 4:17-18). The use of the phrase “scarcely be saved” does not mean that believers will narrowly miss the lake of fire. Rather, it speaks of bringing the righteous man into everlasting life. To be scarcely saved does not mean that few people will escape the lake but that it won’t be easy to get a man to attain salvation.
The ungodly and sinner cannot stand in the time of judgment because of the vehemence of doctrine. These set of people will be shaken by what the blood of sprinkling is saying. The blood of sprinkling speaks judgment. The judgement is the revelation of the appearance of God. When God appears, He brings judgment.
“Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous. For the Lord knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish.” (Psalm 1:5-6). The way of the ungodly is perishing while the way of the righteous is everlasting life. The next thing for the ungodly is perishing. When Jesus said that man should not perish but have everlasting life (John 3:16), He meant that man should not graduate from ungodliness into everlasting sin (or perishing). God does not want anyone to go the way of perishing. Way speaks of a manner of giving life to persons. Way can kill and it can make alive. There is a way to expire a man, but there is a way to fully make a man and retain life in him.
The opposite of perishing is salvation or everlasting life. There is something in the way of perishing that causes people to perish. All the ways of God are mercy and truth (Psa. 25:10), while the ways of the ungodly contain lies and falsehood (Isa. 28:15). Lies are the opposite of God’s judgments, and that’s what the ungodly will learn. Bible archives everything that Satan is doing with man.
A man who has not learnt the lies of Satan cannot fellowship with him. Those who say they are second in command to the devil are being deceived because Satan does not bring anyone into his presence except such a one has done enough ungodliness. This is how Satan raises evil kings of the earth. These kings of the earth are people Satan has received to himself and he is teaching them how to think. They would be thinking at Satan’s level.
Ungodliness is a complete life away from God, in order to know how to think the way the devil thinks. This is how Satan trains men who think that they are a god on earth. Examples of such men that Satan raised are the prince of Tyre and Nimrod. They think themselves big. Satan changes their hearts from that of men into that of a lying god. Similarly, we cannot receive God’s thoughts when we have not arrived in fellowship with Him. These thoughts will bring us into His judgment and impart the skill for us to locate everlasting life. We think through the realm of God until our souls become lasting. We will see the path of everlasting life through God’s thought.
So it’s possible to know a believer who is walking in darkness and claims to be walking in light. Such is a person who has been given permission into everlasting life but living below the standard. Such a person is not submitting to the light of God. The person has access to the light of God, but he is not willing to use the light. It amounts to darkness for a person who ought to be using everlasting righteousness to be having a need for the milk of the word again (Heb. 5:12). It’s darkness and it’s a lie.
Whosoever has come to fellowship with God would be given the permission to think like God. Such a person has attained judgment. Fellowship is tied to thoughts. Fellowship is the link of thoughts. You need a network to send things. A network can be empty, this means that it does not contain information. So thoughts can be sent through a transmission link. You can see images through that link and also touch things through it. So when we have found the link to God, He will begin to send His thoughts to us.
The Holyghost is the maker of communion. “The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Ghost, be with you all. Amen.” (2 Corin. 13:14). Holyghost creates the communion between us and God and God talks through the Holyghost. The communion of the Holyghost is the server or link capacity that we firstly have to attain. It’s not any believer that can link that server or that can connect to it. It’s not every believer that is powered enough to take that transmission. So God puts a machine in you that can link that server. That machine is what the Holyghost does.
Immediately a believer arrives in God, the Holyghost will create a conducive atmosphere called the realm of fellowship; just like God gave access to Moses to come commune with Him between the wings of the Cherubims, and not Aaron (Exodus 25:22). In the New Covenant, the communion will not be under the wings of angels but under the shadow of the Almighty or under the wings of the Holyghost.
The Holyghost is the link between you and God in communion. A man who has not obeyed the first righteousness in Christ and ready to serve God cannot find this link. So you need that link to take instructions for judgment, to know what to do and how to get it done. We would be freed from sin by serving Christ, then we would come into serving God in order to be perfectly free from iniquity. We won’t be certified to be free from iniquity until we have done everlasting righteousness.
“If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” (1 John 1:8-9). This unrighteousness is not an obvious offence but the kingdom that can be moved. You cannot have breakthrough into the books of John just like that; the most difficult letter to decode is that of John because of the way John played with words and hid things. You need skill to understand John. We get cleansed by receiving judgment as against unrighteousness.
At first, both the ungodly and someone who is about to serve everlasting righteousness have not done anything against the realm of unrighteousness or the realm of everlasting life. There are two Holiest of All: one is opposite God while the other is God’s. When Satan fell, he became a negative angel of the holiest. Satan cannot create anything other than going against the order of God.
The beast who will bring destruction by teaching men how to perish would pierce through the holiest of men. That tells us that the end agenda of Satan is to pierce through the holiest of man. Satan has not destroyed a man if he has not gotten to his holiest. Satan will not rest until he has reached where God is. If Satan cannot get God’s holiest, he will check the heart of men. Every man’s heart has its holiest, including the unbeliever. An unbeliever can still be saved as long as his holiest has not been taken.
