An Appraisal on the Dynamics of Having The Son, The Father And God
Dearly Beloved,
A humble way to relate with the declarations of the New Testament is to always acknowledge that we know it not as we ought (1Cor. 8:2), and by approaching the epistles of the apostles this way, Christ-like change becomes inevitable because we would be positioned to receive much more comfort (coming forth) of the Holy Spirit who helps in comparing spiritual with spiritual and in paraphrasing the holy scriptures beyond the letters.
“For God so loved (them that loved) the world, that He gave His only begotten Son (a post resurrection gift), that whoever believes in Him (i.e. in His Divine Life – Jn. 1:4, 5:26, 10:10) shall not perish (i.e. remain without the power of the gospel – 2Cor. 4:3, Rom. 1:16 ), but have eternal life…” (Jn. 3:16). (I.e. shall have the Son & He who fathered Him; God – Jn. 17:3)
“Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world (i.e. keeps any of the three commandments called lust of the flesh/eyes & the pride of life), the love of the Father (i.e. The Son; loving He whom the Father loved – John 3:35/John 5:20) is not in him…” (1Jn. 2:15).
So it is one thing to start and gradually have (receive) the first rest (the Son) and It is another thing to press on until we have (receive) the final rest (the Father), and thereby come under God (Matt. 11:28-29, Ps. 91:1, 1Cor. 15:24, Rev. 14:1). We start receiving the first allocation of life in the Son which chastens us to hate the world (Heb. 12:6-7). Somewhere along the line, however, we would see the larger and ultimate picture which is the need not only to receive divine life needed to overcome the world (1Jn. 5:4) but to also receive the fullness of that life (nature). This also implies that we receive the core of God’s nature – Love, and thereby become a god that overcomes the god and father of this world – Satan. This is how and when we will fulfill the true definition of being a peculiar people and a treasure to God, and when we will qualify to sit on His throne (1Pet. 2:9, Rev. 21:3, 3:21)!
“Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord (the Lord in the holy place separating us from the world – Faith {Isa. 6:2-5}), and touch not the unclean thing (idols/the world); and I will receive you (as priests). And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty…” (2Cor. 6:17-18). (The Lord God in the most holy place receiving us– Love {Rev. 4:8/11:16-17/21:22}).
“For whom the Lord loveth (1Cor. 2:9) he chasteneth (i.e. the world in them with the rod of faith), and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth. If ye endure chastening (Faith process), God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not? ...” (Heb. 12:6).
Our Lord Jesus has been making massive investments in the church in the last couple of decades. He has been doing so by blowing the trumpet of His Faith to believers who through their faith in the Lord Jesus (Eph. 1:15, Col. 1:4) became a chosen generation. He has been sounding an alarm with a certain sound that’s meant to gather the scattered natures of our souls, which came by pastures and doctrines contrary to His Faith (Jer. 23:2, Eph. 4:14). He has been birthing soundness into minds via the sound doctrines of His victorious faith walk, and thereby raising a kingdom of priests (royal priesthood) and a holy nation unto Himself. But His ultimate goal is to cause such sainted souls to become a peculiar treasured people whom He would ultimately present unto God (1Cor. 15:24, Matt. 10:32, Rev. 3:12).
“But ye are a chosen generation (new birth/outer court/still worldly), a royal priesthood, an holy nation (holy place, separation from the world, kings in the priestly lineage, from faith-to-faith Pauline gospel walk/godliness), a peculiar people (lovers of God, sealed with the name of the son and then the father, keepers of the treasure called God, priests of the Most High – fully owned by God); that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvelous light; … (1Pet. 2:9).
So, the spirit of the words “lovers of God” actual means having the Son and the Father, and thereby coming under God (1Jn. 2:24, 2Jn. 1:9) and the key to this is by journeying through the Son via His faith commandments, and then into the Father through the commandments of Love which has also been domiciled in Christ (Jn. 14:21, 23)
“He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments (of faith and love), is a liar, and the truth is not in him. But whoso keepeth his word (the twin laws/commandments of the beginning – 1Jn. 1:1), in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him…” (1Jn. 2:4-5)
“That their hearts might be comforted, being knit together in love, and unto all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the acknowledgement of the mystery of God, and of (the mystery of) the Father, and of (the mystery of) Christ (the son)…” (Col. 2:2).
So God gave His Son so that He can reap many precious sons – not many children (Jam. 5:7), and He awaits kings in whom these mysteries (riches) have become a living reality – long before they show up in heaven (Prov. 25:2).
Selah!
