Our obedience to the speakings of God this season is what can deliver everlasting life to us. As such, we should cry to God for mercy to be able obey Him this season. God’s voice is coming to us through different means – by His speakings and dealings of the Spirit -- which are to bring about a change within us. The speakings of God come to us according to the level of our spiritual journey.

“And to whom sware he that they should not enter into his rest, but to them that believed not?” (Heb. 3:18). Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering into his rest, any of you should seem to come short of it” (Heb. 4:1). We are in the season of entrance into everlasting life. Those who will enter must first believe – this is the key to entrance. To hear the voice of God is to hear His commandments, which come by understanding. In the season of everlasting life, the Son of God is our syllabus; He must be revealed to us in His totality. Every part of the Son of God is made up of commandments, for the Father fashioned Him by commandments.

When we read scriptures and have an understanding of it, commandments have visited us. Understanding comes to make us refrain from the way that leads to death. There is no life without understanding and obedience to the commandments that come from such understanding. We do not know the path of life by our own understanding. As such, we need to be shown the path of life and walk circumspectly, and not as fools (Eph. 5:15). When we have received understanding, we will be able to walk worthy in the realm of the spirit. We need to accurately understand what God wants. God has to show to us what is couched in His heart and His will, so we can walk into life.

And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day” (John 6:40). Believing is the process that leads to entrance into everlasting life. To believe is to agree with the standards of God as the standard for life. However, we cannot believe without seeing the Son because the Son is an entity of everlasting life. There are things that make up the Son which when revealed, we ought to believe.

The revelation of the Son comes against our soul arrangement. The doctrine of Christ is designed to train and tenderize the heart to believe the Son. Seeing the Son is seeing the everlasting laws that configured Him. The qualification for entrance this season is the formation of an everlasting nature within the soul. If we want to enter into life, we must know the Son of God. This knowledge of the Son of God is not to puff us up, rather, it is to make us sober and examine ourselves. The purpose of the knowledge of the Son of God is for us to become like Him.

“But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. [10] But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God” (1 Cor. 2:9-10). The preparation of things that eyes have not seen is for those who love God. The Son of God will only appear to those who love Him. These lovers are those who have obeyed His commandments and became sons at a level. Loving the brethren is our show of love for God. Everlasting life is calibrated in love. Breaking into the zone of love is breaking into the zone of God, and this is not possible without being exercised in fervent charity (1 Pet. 4:8).

To inherit everlasting life, we must obey the commandments of love. Loving the Son of God is weaved together with loving our brothers. Loving our brothers is an expression of our love for Jesus. When a believer finds it difficult to love his brother, he cannot love God (1 John 4:20). This is because the love demand towards your brother is lower than the love demand towards God. Love for our brethren is tied to faith, for it takes faith to love your brother.

For this is the message that ye heard from the beginning, that we should love one another” (1 John3:11). Everlasting life is the life of the beginning; it is the life we are being called to inherit. We cannot enter into that life without the commandment of the beginning. We must be conformed into the image of the Godhead to enter into Their realm. The image of the Son of God is the image of a very meek and lowly Man that can be easily despised (Matt. 11:29). This is the nature required for entrance into the realm of God.

"Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever." (1 Pet. 1:23). A believer who has not been engaged in fervent charity cannot receive the incorruptible seed. The Son of God will only appear to those who are abounding in the law of charity.

It takes the learning of Christ to be detached from corruption. Christ trains a soul to value things that are not seen (2 Cor. 4:8). Understanding of things unseen helps us to love our brethren better; it also helps us to handle things that are seen with the mentality that they do not last and should not command our love or cause us to be envious of one another. It is unholiness for a believer to be unable to rejoice with his brother who God has blessed with natural things.

“And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven” (Matt. 18:3). Entrance into everlasting life will not be ministered to a soul that has not been converted into a little child. The essence of conversion is to make the soul little enough to gain entrance into life; it is a change of laws in a soul by the giving of understanding. Understanding will make a soul walk right (Eph. 5:15). The reason for the revelation of the Son of God is to alter or change our nature.

God wants us to seek understanding, hear and do commandments for our natures to be reconfigured. God wants to wrought everlasting nature in us and thereby, raise everlasting men. God’s dream is to see everlasting men walk the face of the earth. A person cannot claim to be seeing the Son when he is not becoming meek and lowly. The Son of God is an everlasting Man and He became an everlasting Man by obeying everlasting laws.

“By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments. For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous” (1 John 5:2-3).

And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment” (1 John 3:23).

The season when the Son is revealed is the season of obeying the commandments of love. A believer cannot claim to love God when he cannot love his brother that he can see (1 John. 4:20). We ought to continually ask God for grace to believe and obey the commandments of love.

The Lord is going to be shedding more light on love so that we can obey accordingly. God will not compromise His standards on love, so we must pass the test of love. Loving Jesus and loving your brother are connected and cannot be separated. In the season of everlasting life, all that will be given to us are love commandments which we must obey. Until we pass this test of love, we cannot cross into Eternal Life.

We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not his brother abideth in death" (1 John3:14). We have to be little in our soul and in our own eyes to pass from death to life. A man who thinks highly of himself cannot love. These are days of the revelation of the Son of God. God wants us to become little children because He is also a little child. It is by conversion into little children that we will gain entrance into everlasting life.
