Our minds need to be opened, though the things we are hearing will not be complex, it may be many-sided. Our wisdom is being increased by the Lord. There is something that Jesus wants servants of God to receive in order to gain skill. It is necessary because it is an important ingredient of worship. God does not just want us to do things without knowing them. We should know what we worship. Many people do things in the spirit without knowing what They are doing. God can empower a soul through His spirit to get some things done just by leading, although the faculty of such a person is not open to the understanding of the dealing. Such a person will never receive all the growth necessary because growth has to be both in knowledge and in grace.
Revelation 22:18-19
“For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: [19] and if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.”
God does not want us to offend prophecy.
Revelation 1:1-3
“The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John: [2] who bare record of the word of God, and of the testimony of Jesus Christ, and of all things that he saw. [3] Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand.”
The word of God is a sword. The testament is the spirit of the blood or the spirit in the blood. It is called life. It is the book where the code of the life of Jesus is written. The sayings of this book are the things encoded in the blood or the book in the blood. The testimony in the blood are the things encoded or written in the book, which are referred to as prophecy (Mk. 14:21). That which is written in the book or in the blood, is the book in the blood. ‘Book’ here does not refer to letters or papers, rather it is a compilation of information that has a beginning and an end. It is the way of a life or the imprint of life.
There is a way someone’s life can generate such that one can be read (2 Cor. 3:2). A book is being read; a testament present in the man which he bears is what is being read. The book on this note, is God’s genetic written code for man. There is that which we find as a book and the things contained therein; or put in other words, there is what God did as a book and what He did with the content, as the keeper of the book is the blood of God. If one attains unto God’s blood, one will find His book. One might wonder why Jesus said a thing was written concerning Him (Mk. 14:21), it means it had been prophesied concerning Him.
What God wrote down as His life that man should take and inherit is what was written in the book. It is the life of the Father that Jesus inherited and is now patented to Him because He is the first man to do it and own it. Jesus authored the obedience of that life and became the sole owner of it; as such, no one can operate it without Him. In this context, His obedience unto death is the prophetic secret of the life of Jesus that God wrote. He is God living on earth— that has been God's intent, that is the will of God.
The will of God is God’s life customized for man. It does not change in grade or get degraded when God packages it as a testament. It is in God's blood and He wants man to get it done. Adam could not get it done neither were the prophets able to; it took one man to get it done because it was written concerning Him (Mk. 14:21). God prophesied a man whose life will unearth and live in agreement with His life; though He will be a man, He will be God living on earth. This is what it means for only a few men to find it. It is like men would not want to do it. This is one definition.
Another dimension explained for the purpose of helping us to have a grasp on what prophecy is, is that it is not easy for a man to take the book or hear it.
Revelation 1:3
“Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand.”
Reading the prophecy is hacking into the blood of God and reading what is in it. A reader in this context is a blood reader, someone who can read blood; as a result, a reader is limited to a hearer. They hear, He reads. The Lord Jesus is not the reader; those who can read it are the stars and the candlesticks seen in Revelations 1:12. The seven stars are readers of the prophecy. According to Revelation 1:3, someone is supposed to read, while others are to hear, because the Bible does not say, ‘Blessed are they that read and they that hear”, but “Blessed is he that reads and they that hear”. This is how to read prophecy. Jesus empowered one to read and others to hear. A reader is a minister and the hearers are the church.
Revelation 2:7
“He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God.”
There is that which the spirit is saying to the churches, and it is given through he that reads. The Spirit is also saying to the Church what the Lamb is saying to the Church. The reader hears first because he reads by hearing. We must consistently pray to God for the hearers to hear. The book of Revelation was a promotion to apostle John because he was more than a reader, He was a writer. He wrote to the stars of the seven churches (Rev. 1:11). John was not writing to an angelic emissary, it would have been out of order for an angel to read and talk to John. It is accurate. So, apostle John was writing to specific people and he knew them. He did not give the letter to the churches but to the stars of the churches.
The book of prophecy is a lead book.
Revelation 22:7
“Behold, I come quickly: blessed is he that keepeth the sayings of the prophecy of this book.”
The prophecy in this book are the things written in the book. Some people have an opinion that the book of Revelation is irrelevant to the Church, that they have a routine to get born again and please God; but that is only a religious Christian language. No young church can please God. Baby Christians do not please God, they only tag along until they are able to learn on how to please God.
Hebrews 10:7
“Then said I, Lo, I come (In the volume of the book it is written of me,) To do thy will, O God.”
Jesus was doing the prophecy. This scripture was spoken by David but Jesus quoted it saying the Son of man must go as it is written concerning Him, and not to go preach, but to do the will of God. The going/movement of the Son of man was a fulfillment of the book of the will of God because He must go to places; so for Jesus, obedience was written with ministry. Therefore, as Jesus was carrying out ministry, underneath it was obedience. In essence, Jesus’ ministry is the will of God-driven.
Jesus’ involvement in the ministry itself was not the exact “doing” of the book by Him. That is to say, the physical manifestation of miracles were not the actual content of the book, as they were only written accompanying the book. It is possible for one not to heal the sick or raise the dead, but such a one has done the book. In fact, our Lord Jesus had been doing a book before He started ministry; this He continued afterwards. God made sure that Jesus had grown strong in obeying the testament before the weight of ministry was put upon Him. It is possible for a man to abandon the book and carry on doing ministry, and such a person might be perceived to be doing the will of God.
There are the things we do that help the will. God calls people into ministry not for themselves or for anything else. Ministry is not one’s pathway in life. The pathway of a man in life is the blood of Jesus. The reason for ministry is that God has written that, through one, many more will get the will. A man can do ministry and may never have done the book or even had a chance to be opened up to the book. This is why it is written to those who are blessed.
The minds of believers are mostly on ministry, as also seen with different people. One can see ministry as an expression of destiny; meanwhile, destiny is in the blood, that is what is called prophecy. So it is possible for someone to cast out demons, do many mighty works, and prophesy, but the Lord would ask such to depart from Him because he works iniquity (Matt. 7:21-23). Inheriting the Kingdom is not based on ministry being done, because it is possible for one to preach and yet be a castaway (1 Cor. 9:27).
Ministry is the most dangerous (fearful) thing to do, but people are racing to it because ministry is spiritual. There are things that are spiritual but do not translate to having God’s nature. Spiritual gift is not nature, it is just spiritual as it opens one up into the world of the spirit. Ministry is spiritual but it does not make for a spiritual man. Most hearts are on ministry but not on the will of God.
Matthew 7:23
“And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.”
This means their real ministry is iniquity. Some people have the opinion that this verse speaks of a false prophet. However, Jesus’ definition of a false prophet is not one who does magic or uses demonic powers to heal the sick. Those whom Jesus will call false are those who have something with God but they are not on God (that is, they do not source from God).
One of the things that displeases God is for someone to kick against His will or to put His will aside; because that is what He designed man to do. The people referred to in Matthew 7:23 are doing a kind of will, but it is another book; they refuse to do God’s book but do another work. This is work; and this work is not just to cast out demons but one by iniquity, and a person can do this work. When Satan wants to hold a person very firmly, he traps such a one down to do his will. To do his will is to do what he wants man for. Satan is not stupid, he is not just going around killing men; there is something he wants from men — a colony.
Just as in the season of slave trade, men deceived other men to mine for them while they took the proceeds to their own land. These people also framed the education of man such that some courses are almost always irrelevant for use. It is possible for a man to carry substances without knowing its actual content. The people in dominion at that time designed the curriculum of learning. The design was so the substances given to us would not give us headway. It is almost as though they foresaw their own nations becoming weak. Most of the colonies are unable to learn and translate and implement them for use. And the nations colonizing them would never share their true secrets; no nation will give out its strength.
These developed nations gave room for technology to become common. The resources spent are very costly and they are unable to keep up with the pace of the magnitude of that expense, so they have to send it to a place all with the approval of their government. This is because they would not be allowed to just sell something that is the strength of a nation elsewhere. Those things are kept as secrets. Some countries could sponsor their citizens to go and learn from the developed countries.
Somehow, Africa was kept out of the reach of most of those technologies. This shows that things are being dictated by a Being, and it is God's mercy that those secrets have not come into Africa for now. God will not allow anything that Africa is not yet ripe for to come into Africa. God knows how the transfer occurs; He has to allow them.
One can be doing ministry and may not be fulfilling God’s will. What is the percentage of will doers amongst people in ministry? Some are zealous, some are profit-oriented, some are dying and giving themselves to ministry sincerely and not attaining the will of God. Jesus puts a desire in us to make us hungry for more than what is obvious to the sight about service to God, seeing that we want to share His thoughts. Service to God has to be redefined, learned and understood, else, we would do things and run in vain.
The will of God is the book in the blood, it is God's intent for service. All servants should serve God the way God desires. Jesus used 33½ years of His life to live for the will of God, and used 3½ years of those 33½ years to do ministry. He did not do ministry for 30 years, but he did the will for 33 years. They brought ministry to Him when He was almost finishing the will. The addition of ministry did not stop the will; ministry stopped but the will finished but never ended.
Someone (an opposer) can stop ministry but cannot stop the will, because the will is from within. God kept the book where nobody can reach—on the inside. If anyone tries to stop Christians from gathering, the person has not stopped anything because that is the time Christianity would grow and people would know God better. No one can stop the will. No one can injure Christianity.
The word of God is not “letter”. One can speak prophecy, one can also speak the word of God. So speaking alone does not make it the word of God; rather, it is what is spoken that makes the word. Speaking alone does not make prophecy. Prophecy is an entity in the spirit; it is a provision, so is the word. The word of God is a spirit of God (not the Holy Ghost). The book or the will of God is not the Holy Ghost. These are materials God owns in the realm of the spirit— the word of God and the will of God.
The word of God is the sword of the Spirit. The will of God is the book of God. The book of God became Jesus’ book. God wants His will to be our will. If Jesus did not finish the will at Gethsemane, the will will not be His own. He sealed the will with His death, and became the owner of the will. There is no way anyone would have the right to inherit the prophecy without Him, that is why we pray in His name. Every prayer is done in His name.
Everything about the provision of God's new order of dealing with mankind in the spirit, called the world of the New Testament, rested on one man because He had done God's will. Many people think that God gave it to Jesus because He is the Word of God that became flesh; however, Jesus obtained those things by obedience. Jesus came to earth as a man to demonstrate that a man can inherit all things God, that a man can be a carrier of the sword of God, that a man can be an owner of the will of God.
The word must first be a bread before it would be a sword. One must eat the word to have the nature of the word. When one has the nature of the word, a sword would emerge out of the word. It is the word formed in one that would eventually become a sword.
Hebrews 4:12
“For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.”
Bread means food. When one has become one with the word, the Holy Spirit deems it fit to draw a sword out of the word and hand it over to one. Such a person becomes a sword bearer, like an angel who had a sword coming out of his mouth. One must agree with the sword of God which is the word of God. It comes to one as bread, demanding one's death. This means what one is eating is first a sword to one, even though it seems like food.
Revelation 22:7-9
“Behold, I come quickly: blessed is he that keepeth the sayings of the prophecy of this book. [8] And I John saw these things, and heard them. And when I had heard and seen, I fell down to worship before the feet of the angel which shewed me these things. [9] Then saith he unto me, See thou do it not: for I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren the prophets, and of them which keep the sayings of this book: worship God.”
Servants serve God with bread. It is the bread that makes one a servant. Brethren handle book; they keep the bloodline. ‘The sayings of this book’ is the prophecy. There are prophetic writings in the book. Those who keep the sayings of the book are keeping the prophecy. The prophecy is that God has prophesied that man should be His own son. The prophecy is God's dream and He has provided things that would make man His own son.
2 Peter 1:4
“Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.”
Prophets are men with divine nature.
Revelation 22:10-12
“And he saith unto me, Seal not the sayings of the prophecy of this book: for the time is at hand. [11] He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still. [12] And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.”
Both servants and prophets do works – the work of God. God gives God, then one works Him on one's inside. God would not force Himself on one, we must be willing to do Him. Satan boasts that man would rather love to do him and not God. But God maintains that despite Satan's painting of Him (God) as being difficult to do, man would be willing to do Him because it is interesting doing God and Satan cannot lie to man. Satan has blown projected profit overboard, and painted promises to lie to man. Money is a promise.
People go into politics in order to make a name. They make promises. Some take an oath they never commit to keeping, even after swearing with the Bible. It is dangerous to do such a thing, as the Bible is no ordinary book. The Bible is a dangerous material to lie with as it would stand against such a fellow if he trespasses. Many have taken the silence of God for granted, because God does not kill like Satan does. Some believers find it difficult to even pray for some people; this is why we are yet to attain the nature of God. We have to be like God. It is knowledge, an open door to His nature. God is interested in those who get Him done; He comes to them quickly when He is well done.
Matthew 25:23
“His lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.”
“Good and faithful” means “truth and true”. These are end terms.
To “add” to the prophecy is to spoil the prophecy, to overdress it, to not give the true meaning of the book. To “take away” is to reduce the quality of the prophecy. To “add” to the prophecy does not just mean adding things that were not originally there, but to give a different interpretation of what the prophecy is meant for, such that it loses its potency. If the prophecy is taught for money, it means one has either added to it or taken away from it. To “take away” from the prophecy is to misinform the prophecy to people— to take away the meaning of the prophecy of the book.
Prophecy is the book of God’s will for man. What prophecy should do after a person has done the work is that it should activate your part out of the book of life. You have a part and you do not take part in the book of life if you have not come to prophecy. Prophecy is the key to books.
Revelation 20:11-15
“And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. [12] And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. [13] And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. [14] And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. [15] And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.”
Death and hell are together. The people being judged are those whose spirits were dead. This is actually the judgement of the dead. The scriptures say Jesus will judge both the quick and the dead (2 Tim. 4:1). So, Revelation 20:11-15 describes the judgement of spirits and souls that are dead.
There is something about books and the book of life. Books are works or the archive of works or the book of works. To Christians or those who are alive in the spirit, we have the Lamb’s book of life and we also have our book of works. The book of works in Revelation 20:12 is a book of works for present creation. There was no need to open the book of works for the angels that fell; it was obvious that they were not ignorant.
No evil spirit that left God was not ignorant. They did not just have knowledge, they also knew God. Why is it that demons believe in God and tremble? (Jam. 2:19). It means, they do not just believe, they know. By believing, it implies that they do not doubt anything God says. Man believes but does not tremble. Demons tremble, but they tell man not to tremble before God.
Devils are doers of evil. They are not learning evil but professionals of it. Hence, they have violated the works, and so the books did not need to be opened for them. They can no longer change as their nature had been altered within them by the works they had done. So, they went on to teach man those works in order to blot man out of the book of life. Satan does not want one’s name in the book of life. Satan and his angels will not relent until one’s name is removed from the book of life. Once that occurs, such a person’s name cannot be written in the Lamb’s book of life.
God weighs the season to determine when and how to write a person’s name in the Lamb’s book of life. Everyone in this order of creation has their name written in the book of life but works done can blot it out. But for the Lamb’s book of life, names are not written carelessly; They wait before names are appended there. The Lamb’s book of life is a book that carries the names of men and women going to the next world. Men and women who will be the new creation and have the right to the new earth and new heavens.
The book of life of the present order contains the names of Moses and Abraham. If they finish their works on earth, there is nothing more to give to them. There was no participation in any other thing that they will find expression in outside the present creation. Moses in his present life had the present reward because God had already rewarded Moses. God rewarded Elijah before death. The celebration of Elijah’s reward was that he was permitted to pass over death like Enoch. This is why their names are counted in the records of reward (Heb. 11:6).
The reward of Enoch was that he was taken and translated to a world of participation which is contained in the present book of life. The visitation of Moses and Elijah to Jesus was a ministry of reward, a copy of the resurrection of the dead and a functioning in the book of life. That was their part in the present—coming to minister to the Lamb on the mountain. The Lamb of God is a new status quo for participation in the future. It is the new book or the new part.
Jesus told His disciples that some of them would not taste death until they saw the kingdom of God come with power (Matt. 16:28). Moses and Elijah were not in the kingdom of God. The kingdom of God with power is Jesus Himself because Jesus was already operating everlasting life. He was being announced to be the Son of the true God in whom God is well pleased (Matt. 17:5). Elijah and Moses were participating under the ambience of a dominion.
Even though the three – Moses, Elijah and Jesus – stayed in the same place, they were not the same, that is, the persons within were not the same. However, in that transfiguration experience, Jesus was not with His full glory. He was wearing an everlasting glory and it showed that day. This tells us that as He lived on the earth, He had something on Him that did not show until He was pushed onto a mountain so it could glow. Even though Jesus had not yet been rewarded because His reward was different, He could not be compared with Moses and Elijah who had been rewarded.
Work is done in order for one to be rewarded. Work is a book. The book of life is a book. Those works are the books. For angels, they had books and they had books of life. Man has books and then a book of life. There are books for earth and there is a book of life for earth. There are books in heaven and there is a book of life for heavens. When they say someone is written in heaven, he is written in the reward of heaven by works. First of all, one’s name is written by his works.
Jesus does not only teach scriptures, He expounds scriptures (Luke 24:27). To expound the scriptures is to blow it up until you begin to see the activity in the scripture. A profitable minister of the New Testament should be able to make the scriptures big. If scriptures are not expounded, they become just letters. To show, blow and open the scriptures is to open the eyes of men. God compounded the scriptures and a minister is to expound what God has closed in the scriptures. When the spirit of expansion is in operation, men will begin to see the scriptures.
From Revelation 22:18-19, we can see that the key book that determines a person’s lot is the prophecy. Everyone whose name is in the book of life has a part in it. This book of life in reference here is the Lamb’s book of life. If one has nothing to do with the life of the Lamb, one’s name will not be written in this book and such will not have a part in it. The life in the Lamb or the blood of the Lamb has a testament in it called the book of prophecy. In other words, what God prophesied concerning man is what God kept in the Lamb – how a man should please Him.
Prophecy is a documentation of how man should be the man God wants him to be. Man can only attain that by the prophecy and the word of God, that is, the food of God. When we eat the word, we eat flesh. The word is flesh; it is the body of Jesus. The prophecy is a book out of the blood.
John 6:53
“Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you.”
God wants to give man life. It is possible for someone to be a child of God and not have that prophetic promise of life, unless the person attains to a state where such a one can eat Jesus’ flesh and drink His blood. To eat His flesh is to feed on the bread of God. There is a concept of flesh and bread. Flesh and bread simply means the container or temple or house of the blood. Flesh does not mean God will automatically give a new body. It just means that one has the ability to carry the blood. God has to give a spiritual material to carry the blood. The bread here is not physical bread.
God is going to give us a substance that would create in us the capacity to carry the blood. The blood needs a place to stay. When we eat His flesh, we acquire a life that would help us run the blood and aid us in obeying the prophecy. That flesh is the first life. Word is first given before blood, that is, we eat the flesh first. Flesh is for eating while the blood is for drinking; however, both are spirits in God.
There is a material the body is made up of. There is something about the blood, particularly how it was formed. The blood cells are different from other cells of the body but both of them are integral parts of the body. So when God is giving us things, He is giving us crumbs. Bread is made up of crumbs and when many crumbs are put together, they become a loaf. So when we eat bread, we are actually eating His cells. Each cell is a conductor of energy. Like a battery cell, every cell can give light.
Our bodies are made up of the ingredients of life. This is the bread Jesus was talking about. This bread is given to us in bits through many teachings. Those teachings begin to take shape together in our souls. It is then that we begin to eat His will and drink His life. This is when we begin to live in prophecy and do things according to how it is written in the book. The flesh that we have eaten is the container that explains the life.
There is no way anyone can be seen without a body. A man’s carrier is his body. The life within suggests what the body should do. The blood is God's written code or commandment within a man. The bread is the enabler for outward manifestations. When a person shows life, it is as a result of the flesh. This is when one can say one has flesh to the life one has drunk. This means that the life can be manifested or demonstrated. Both the flesh and the blood work together.
For those who did not do according to what is written concerning them, it is better for them not to get it done than to know it and break it. Some people will not do the works in the books. Many born-again Christians have not attained the works in the book but they will not go to lake. The judgment referred to in Revelation 20:12 is for those who have done something that warrants the penalty that the book projects. It means that those who stood (to be judged) were breakers of the works of the book. They also have works that are against the works written in the books, which are the books of works.
Works stand by the book. They are clearly seen in the books. By the book, the works one did which were written in the books are judged to determine whether such works warrant one’s name to be removed from the book of life or not. Books are judgements. When one disobeys the books, such would become “death and hell”; that is, such would be great in death. To have great death is to be unwilling to turn back to God because such has gained a will to not return back to God. It is not because God does not want the person, but that there is nothing God can do to get such a person back.
All the judgements of the books are needed to determine those who will remain in the book of life. The books dictate names in the book of life. Names can be written and they can also be removed. Moses interceded for the people of Israel before the Lord, asking for their sins to be forgiven, else that his name be removed from the book the Lord had written (Exo. 32:32). Moses knew some things about the book. He was making intercession because of the deeds of the children of Israel. What one does affects the book because actions are recorded in books. This does not mean that God is reminded of our sins. The things that are written are our cooperation with God or the devil.
The books are actually books of birth. We are being born by works. Many works and books are needed for us to fulfill full time birth. We need a lot of books to become children of the devil. To be born of the corruptible seed and become Satan's own that never turns, one must disobey all the books. Disobeying one book means we are doing another kind of book which is not of God.
As Satan fell, his books were corrupted. His books fell with him and he wants to teach man how to do what is contained in him. Likewise, the Lamb will also teach man how to do what is contained in Himself. If the Lamb has the book of life, it means He has the volume of the book to do His will. Jesus earned the book of life; it was patented to Him because He obeyed the volume. It was the volume that led Him to owning the book of life. It is in Jesus that all lives are called in the world to come, that is, the new heavens and new earth.
We cannot participate in this new heaven and new earth if our names are not written in the Lamb’s book of life. We can see that the book of this prophecy is acting like the books. When we do prophecy, we are fulfilling books. Prophecy is about doing God's work. The works of God are the works of the Lamb. Beneath prophecy is a fulfillment of works. Prophecy can determine one’s future.
Everyone has a part in the Lamb's book of life. Part means participation. One’s name can be written but the part of such may not yet be activated. It takes some time for a person’s part to be activated. It is when we attain the prophecy that our parts are activated. A person can have his name written in the book of life but not use it or participate in it. We can participate in the book of life only when we have the power to do so.
If anyone adds to the book, it would result into plagues being brought upon him (Rev. 22:18-19). And if anyone takes away from the book, that person’s part in the book of life (of the Lamb) would be hijacked. The holy city comprises people who have parts in the book of life (of the Lamb). The holy city came from God out of heaven to the new earth. This tells us that not everyone belongs in the holy city. To be in the holy city, one must have obeyed prophecy.
The holy city and the book of life have a relationship. A person’s part in the book of life is the translation of the kind of life that is in the book and that is being demonstrated in the holy city. The participation of the book of life is our engagement; it is who we are and how we play our parts in the holy city.
The book of life is the holy city. It means everybody who is written should eventually enter into the City and take their part in the book and in the City. There is a part in the holy city. Our parts in the holy city are still the same as our parts in the book of life (of the Lamb). The holy city gives a solid model of one’s participation. Our parts in the book of life are written in the book but we see it fulfilled in the holy city. The holy city is designed by God for men to live the book life that is of the Lamb.
The holy city is a realm where Eternal Life is expressed. One can live in the holy city from here (the earth). In other words, if one attains Eternal Life on earth, such is part and parcel of the holy city already. What makes this City is not its architectural design; rather, it is made up of saints in different realms. There is no part without a company of saints.
Our being together makes our part evident. For example in a church, some people belong to certain departments. So our department in the city is the eternal allotment that God has written for us. The ability for us to take it and do it is a demonstration of the very life that is in God — the life of the only true God. This is why the light of the City is the glory of God and the Lamb is the light thereof (Rev. 21:23).
Revelation 21:23
“And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof.”
This tells us that using the Lamb as light for life is the expression of eternal glory. When we use the raw undiluted God — the only true God and Jesus Christ whom He has sent — as light, it means we are taking our parts in the book of life. For a man to claim that he has taken his part in the Lamb’s book of life, he must have had everlasting life.
So, prophecy is the book of life everlasting while prophets are men with everlasting life.
Daniel 9:24
“Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy.”
To seal up the vision and prophecy is to have raised prophets of everlasting life — sons of God (men with divine nature). A prophecy is not sealed when it has not been fulfilled. It must be fulfilled to confirm it has been done. Both vision and prophecy are God’s vision. Gabriel told Daniel that a time is coming on earth that what God determined for mankind on earth will be done and nothing will stop it.
Immediately prophets are raised, it means the Most Holy temple of God is on earth. So temples will no longer be made of stones but of beings that God has given the capacity to house Him. This is the time when the Most Holy will be anointed. When the Most Holy is anointed, participation for Life Eternal will resume. Eternal Life is true; however, it is not something one randomly comes into. It takes time to get because one needs to have fulfilled obediences and pleasings. Eternal Life is God’s reward of life to man.
Books determine life. It determines who will remain written. When a man does the books, he awakens his part in the book of life. Conversely, when a man does not do the books, he does not do anything about his part, that is, his part would suffer but he would be saved. But when one disobeys the books, such a person’s name would be blotted out. There are people who were born again but did not know much; they died as ignorant Christians. God will not remove their name from the book of life. He will write their names in the Lamb’s book of life. God knows the number of people that ought to be written in the Lamb’s book of life, that is, men that are supposed to have Eternal Life.
Not all men will have Eternal Life on earth. In the new earth, the giving of this life is what would be done. The major work in the world to come would be the ministry of giving men Eternal Life. Trillions of men will be given Eternal Life and that is why the City will be very large (Rev. 21:16). Many people will be needed to minister it to men that have been dying since the time of Genesis. The reason God will awake them is to give them Eternal Life.
Eternal Life has levels and God is the only One who knows what He will do with it. This is the time God’s life will be seen. God is bottling Himself presently. Angels cannot take Him, so He has to raise species that have the capacity to drive His life. Those who will inherit Eternal Life here on earth are those who are doing everlasting life. They are those who will live for Him here on earth. It is not easy to live for God in the face of obvious contradictions. However, the reward for anyone who lives for God is that men will depend on such in the future.
The new earth will be far bigger than the present earth. It will be superior and massive. It will be a world of glory; how much more the new heaven. The new earth will be better than this present heaven because the people who will be living in it are men with resurrected bodies. This tells us that a person can have Eternal Life and the body of such is still like the present, because it is the soul that contains Eternal Life. It takes the help of God to keep such treasures in us while still in this present body because Eternal Life can break this body and reconfigure it.
What altered Jesus during the transfiguration was the life that He had (Matt. 17:2), which was not even the actual glory. This glory alone outshined Moses and Elijah. So when God is giving spirit, He is giving glory. Therefore, we should not be tired of this cause, because if we say we are tired, we do not know the magnitude of what we are missing.
Everyone of us is a minister in the future. God has a plan. The future is more robust than the present. We are not just going to heaven to lift our hands and shout hallelujah. We have a job to do there.
Blessings!
