“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” (‭‭Jn. ‭1:1‬). Apostle John gave us the understanding or revelation of God before time began. The Word and God were in the same class and fellowship because they shared the same life. What makes the Word to be with God is the genetics of the Word.  We cannot speak of who God is without locating what constitutes Him. Angels are from God but they are not of God. God had an agenda in Himself; there was something in Him that He willed to give man.

“And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.” (‭‭Gen. ‭1:26‬). Man was supposed to have dominion over the earth dimension of creation. Adam was a perfect man but he had not possessed the genetics of God. The image that Adam possessed was not the image of the incorruptible and Eternal God; he was supposed to grow in his formation. God wanted to beget him by giving him His genes. Our God is passionate about reproducing Himself in man; this is the reason He created man in the first place. The project of man is a project of love. God wanted to share genes with man – that very gene that puts Him in a class where no creation can access.

Angels are shadows of God’s original plan for man; they are witnesses to what God will do in man. What God desires is that man will be the highest expression of His life. He has a thought that man will come to a point where he is like God in everything. Jesus Christ was sent to show how man will be like God. Jesus Christ did not come for Himself, rather He came to show man how God wants to be known. There is a way God wants to be known that only our Lord Jesus can reveal.

The question, “Who is like God?” can only be answered by a people that will bring out the exact originality of the nature of God. The question is supposed to be answered by man, but angels were supposed to foreshadow it. Man is the centre andmasterpiece of God’s creation. Our Lord Jesus came in the flesh to fulfil this. “All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.” (‭‭John‬ ‭1:3‬). Here, we see that the Eternal God moves into the realm of creation. The current heaven and earth are within the sphere of creation; they were made to fulfil an eternal agenda – to raise men that will reveal God.

“In him was life; and the life was the light of men.” (‭‭John‬ ‭1:4‬). There is a life code in God that is not in any class of creation nor is it in the present arrangement of heavens. It is only hidden in God. What makes God up are genetics of life. God has Life; it is a raw life that can only be found in the class of the Godhead. “As thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him.” (‭‭John‬ ‭17:2‬0). The assignment was to give man Eternal Life. The Word became flesh for the sole purpose of giving Eternal Life to man.

“And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.” (‭‭John‬ ‭17:3‬). The question “Who is like God?” is a question of worship that is supposed to unveil the revelation of the worship of the Eternal God. The apparatus for worship is knowledge because we cannot worship a God that we do not know. Another word for worship is service. Angels are serving God better than man right now because they have more insight into service than man. There cannot be service without knowledge. Knowing God is knowing what His constitution is or what is inside of Him. We cannot answer “who is like God” if we do not know the things inside Him that make Him God.

The word ‘God’ is one that both believers and unbelievers have an idea of. The English dictionary has even put angels in the same category with the Eternal God. This tells us that the English language is limited in describing who God is. No one can know God by reading and observation because there is something about His life that is hidden. Every religion believes that there is a God who created everything. However, there is a way God wants to be known.

“No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.” (‭‭John‬ ‭1:18‬). When we see this type of scripture, it begs the question, “who did Adam and Enoch see?”. Enoch walked with God, yet he did not really see or know Him. To see is to know because to know is to have sight. The seventy elders feasted with God on the mountain, yet they never saw him (Num. 11:16). Christians today have arrogantly concluded that they know God in His entirety. However, we do not really know Him. Many people had encounters with God, yet they did not know God.

There is a need for New Testament insight to understanding scriptures. There is a stature you must have acquired to see God. Scriptures said, no man can approach Him because he dwells in light unapproachable (1Tim. 6:16). However, He has to open Himself or reveal a dimension of Himself that man can relate with. John was referring to the Eternal God in John 1:18: this is the God that existed before creation. The reason for creation is so that man would know and find Him.

The gospel begins with the revelation of the incorruptible God. Immutable refers to incorruption and immortality. If a man can mutate, it means he can change. Such a man does not have the capacity to know God. The preparation of knowledge is to give man a nature that cannot change. The gospel of everlasting life is a boost of capacity to take God. If no man can directly interface with the energy from the sun, how much more the Eternal God? Yet, God has ordained that men will know Him.

“No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.” (‭‭John‬ ‭1:18‬). The bosom is a private chamber; that is where birth takes place and where secrets are revealed. It is in the bosom of the Father that His genes are given.

“Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began, [10] But is now made manifest by the appearing of our Saviour Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel…” (2 Timothy 1:9-10). ‘Before the world began’ is in the world of God, and that is the world He wants to bring man into. God has Life; not just life Eternal but a life that man can take – everlasting life. God has both Eternal and everlasting life. Everlasting life is the understudy of an incorruptible God. The purpose of that is to give man a face to relate with God. In the scriptures, face means knowledge; it is the ability to comprehend God.

“Jesus answered and said unto him, Art thou a master of Israel, and knowest not these things? Verily, verily, I say unto thee, We speak that we do know, and testify that we have seen; and ye receive not our witness. [12] If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how shall ye believe, if I tell you of heavenly things?” (‭‭Jn.‬ ‭3:10‬-12). Jesus began talking from the New Birth and talked through the entrance into the Kingdom. The knowledge of God for the earth is Christ. These earthly things are not carnal things but they are things that make up a spiritual man – a man that can begin the journey to know God.

“And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven.” (‭‭Jn.‬ ‭3:13‬). Jesus was not referring to the present heaven because there are some men that went to this present heaven without Jesus. The present heaven and earth are copies of an original. God is heaven. To come from heaven was Him journeying from the Eternal realm into flesh. Jesus condescended to an estate for the purpose of revealing God. Jesus did not always refer to Himself as the Son of God but as the Son of man. He did so because He was conscious of  being on a journey of obedience. He knew that He had to finish His curriculum of obedience for Him to seal His full coronation as a Son. In John 17, Jesus said that He had finished the work. This work was a work of obedience. After He finished this work, He asked for the glory He had with God before time began (Jn. 17:4-5).

Our Lord Jesus is our proof of the fact that we will get to Eternal Life. Jesus took on both incorruptible and Eternal Life as a man. Jesus is sitting on the throne of God on our behalf. This tells us that it is possible to see God. Moses wanted to see God’s face but God told him that no man could see His face and live (Ex. 33:20). It means that a man cannot see His face until He has been raised to fulfil all the obediences required for man to access God. Moses had a lot of visitations. God referred to Moses in a high prophetic manner. God did not talk to him via dreams and visions. God talked with him face to face, yet Moses later understood that he did not really know God. This was what prompted Him to ask God for an opportunity to see His face.

We enrol into the journey of knowing God after we have learnt Christ. We must first acquire the garment of Charity; this is what qualifies for enrollment into the school of God, where we learn things that are incorruptible, undefiled and that are unfading. Men who arrive at the unfading are the ones that will see God; they are the men that God has put His gene in them. To see God is to see the Eternal God. God is meek. God can come into our midst and we would not discern Him because He is so meek. God is so meek that He can be easily despised. The closer we come to Him, the more childlike we become. Eternal Life is a conversation of meekness.

Blessings!

God bless EGFM! I was blessed by this transcribed message. This message has made me realized that I don't know God. No matter the knowledge I have about God, there is His life that I am yet to know. And that should make me come to Him in meekness of heart. If it is possible to know God, then I want to know God.
