Eternal Glorious Fountain Ministry (EGFM)
Believers' Convention 2022 (Day 5 - Morning Session)
Date: Thursday, 11th August 2022
The theme of the conference is “Who is like God?” And the Lord, through His servant, allowed us to see that this name is a question. This name is actually the name of an angel in the present heavens. The Lord in His wisdom gave that angel a name that is a question and is referred to as ‘one like unto the Son of man’ (Rev. 1:13). If the Lord gave him a name that is a question, it is the Lord Himself that would proffer the answer. The Lord made that angel a unique angel. Across the epistles, we would see him being called the chief angel or the archangel; the Lord framed him that way.
In the New Testament, now amongst men, our Lord Jesus has come into the estate of God (Hebrews 1:8). Our Lord Jesus is God but in earlier verses, it was shown that He was made better than angels. “Being made so much better than the angels, as he hath by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they.” (Hebrews 1:4). Our Lord Jesus obtained a name higher than certain ministering spirits that bear names. “Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?” (Hebrews 1:14). In this scripture, our Lord Jesus Christ was being compared to angels of the Most Holy, because they are the ones that serve salvation. They are the ones that have the capacity to minister salvation to those who should inherit salvation. If our Lord Jesus Christ has obtained a more excellent name than they all, then Michael must be among the ministering spirits because he is the chief carrier, amongst all angels, of the things pertaining to salvation. Michael, the servant of the Lord, is the highest angel among angels that are in heaven. But Jesus has obtained a more excellent name than they all.
Cherubims are ministering spirits that have an excellent name (Ps. 103:20). Michael, ministering to John in Revelations 1:1, was hearkening to a high word of the Lord; He brought a record (I John 5:7). Michael is a salvation angel, he is an angel that God made with materials that are everlasting in nature. That means that among angels, no angel is as excellent as Him (2 Pet. 1:17). Spirits dwell in the Most Holy realm and they are excellent. Their excellence is in their names. The names that they bear are a storage of the life that God created them with, The angels that Hebrews 2:2 is talking about are cherubims. The word all cherubims have is one word (Heb 2:2) but they do not have it at the same pedigree. They are all excellent but in different pedigrees. Angels bear names according to the word God puts in them and this word is what defines their life, operations, their calling, their ministry, how they can please our God and eventually how they serve (minister to) man.
Our Lord Jesus was born a baby by the virgin Mary (Lk. 1:35). In the gospels, particularly the first few chapters of Luke, we saw how He grew; they grew Him with wisdom (Luke 2:52). He had the nature of God, but He took upon Himself the estate of man to show us how we can come into the original desire of God (Phil. 2:5-7). The baby Jesus, when He was born, knew no letters, but God was feasting Him with wisdom. In the spirit, He is the second man and the last Adam but God feasted Him with doctrines. The goal of God was to raise a God that would sit on His throne, but He knew that the route to raising that God was to feast Jesus with wisdom. God must have given Him what looks like the milk of the word in His early days to grow Him from babyhood. God must have feasted Him with the basics of the ordinances and law of God. The baby was not only growing bodily by eating what other children were eating, but He also grew in His soul by taking the milk of the word.
A baby grows by milk to become a child (1 Cor 3:1). The level of growth that prepares the realm of spirituality is a child, and childhood is the highest point of babyhood. When we grow and peak at babyhood, we become a child in the spirit. So, you would hear them call Him the child Jesus at age of 12. When He became a child, they began to introduce Him to things of Christ. At age 12, even the doctors of the law found it difficult to resist Him. After He became a child, they feasted Him with the doctrine of Christ (Eph. 4:20-21). He was born as Jesus, but Jesus learnt Christ. Our Lord embodied Christ and He was the first person to take Christ doctrine.
“He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am? [16] And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.” (Matthew 16:15-16). At this state, He was still Adam or man in the spirit, but in His soul, He had obeyed the doctrines of Christ and had even graduated to the teachings of everlasting life.
Milk would make a healthy child; the doctrine of Christ would make a healthy spiritual man; the teaching of everlasting life would make a healthy father or healthy elder. All these levels of word are meant to make persons out of our souls. In the heavens, angels in their different strata are holding different types/strengths of word. They did not learn it; they woke up into it. An angel is an angel because he is bearing a message; in other words, an angel is an angel because he is bearing a name. Every angel, particularly Holy Place and Most Holy Place angels, bears names and those names are messages or word codes/types that God put in them. When God was delivering doctrines to our Lord, God was making Him an angel of another order.
“For this Melchisedec, king of Salem, priest of the most high God, who met Abraham returning from the slaughter of the kings, and blessed him; [2] To whom also Abraham gave a tenth part of all; first being by interpretation King of righteousness, and after that also King of Salem, which is, King of peace;” (Hebrews 7:1-2). These two aspects of his kingship were delivered to him by the doctrine of Christ.
What spiritual-mindedness does is that it makes us kings (Romans 8:6). Faith makes righteous, hope gives peace. The doctrine of Christ makes us king of righteousness in the outer court and king of peace in the holy place. The doctrine of Christ is making us angels of another order.
When God made ministering spirits, His first intention was the life that they would bear which mirrors certain dimensions of God. A spiritual man is one that has used the doctrine of Christ; he is a king of Righteousness and a king of peace. Another way to say it is that ‘he is a spiritual man’, or ‘he is an angel’. Angels do not necessarily mean beings that fly with wings. What will determine our lot in the world to come is what we did with doctrine on the earth. Doctrine is to heave angels of the world to come.
“Behold, I will send my messenger, and he shall prepare the way before me: and the Lord, whom ye seek, shall suddenly come to his temple, even the messenger of the covenant, whom ye delight in: behold, he shall come, saith the Lord of hosts.” (Malachi 3:1) Two messengers were being spoken of here. John was bearing a message and that message made him higher than men who were born of women (Matt. 11:11; Lk. 7:28). He was meant to prepare the way for our Lord Jesus. The messenger of the covenant which Malachi was speaking of is our Lord Jesus Christ. Our Lord is an Angel who is bearing the name of God in a more excellent way than any other angel, including Michael.
Adam was made almost in the same way they made angels; he was not born as a result of a sexual intercouse. Man (soul) was mentioned in the list of angels (Ps. 103:22).
Our Lord Jesus who is seated on the throne is God. The real Michael is Jesus and how He came into His estate of being God on the throne is doctrine. When people try to venture into the realm of the spirit apart from doctrine, they intrude into things they have not seen. Doctrine (not vision) grants permission for heavens (not just this one but also that which is to come) to be seen by teachings and preachings.
At our different levels of growth, how we would eventually come this far is to take heed to the doctrines given to us. If we don’t take heed to doctrine, we might never get to this point. They use doctrine to make angels. It is doctrine that is twisted in Lucifer that turned him. Everlasting life is long learning but we need it to be made into persons that would eventually come to know Him. The Eternal God can only be appreciated by those who have learnt doctrine.
Blessings!

Closing Charge: Reverend Kayode Oyegoke
“In the third year of Cyrus king of Persia a thing was revealed unto Daniel, whose name was called Belteshazzar; and the thing was true, but the time appointed was long: and he understood the thing, and had understanding of the vision.” (Daniel 10:1) True is a zenith truth. It was a very holy thing that was revealed to Daniel. It wasn’t things but a thing (singular) that was revealed to Daniel. The next account after this (Daniel 10:2-5) was an account of how he got understanding. The understanding came as a result of angelic wars.
Kenneth Hagin prophecy in 1983
“...Also a breakthrough is coming in the realm of spirits concerning angels…”
“In those days I Daniel was mourning three full weeks. [3] I ate no pleasant bread, neither came flesh nor wine in my mouth, neither did I anoint myself at all, till three whole weeks were fulfilled. [4] And in the four and twentieth day of the first month, as I was by the side of the great river, which is Hiddekel; [5] Then I lifted up mine eyes, and looked, and behold a certain man clothed in linen, whose loins were girded with fine gold of Uphaz:” (Daniel 10:2 -5). In the Bible, linen clothing is for the Most Holy, so the angel here is of the Most Holy order.
“And the seven angels came out of the temple, having the seven plagues, clothed in pure and white linen, and having their breasts girded with golden girdles.” (Revelation 15:6). There are linen angels with their girdles on their loins and others on their breastplates. Thus, they are in different cadres.
“I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star.” (Revelation 22:16). Angels have the power of attorney; they can stand in for God (Heb.1:4).
“But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me one and twenty days: but, lo, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me; and I remained there with the kings of Persia.” (Daniel 10:13-21). The angel here was a prince, one of the chief princes. He had linen clothing and a golden girdle, but the prince of Persia withstood him for twenty-one days. This shows us that the prince of Persia used to be among the chief princes. When Gabriel came in to see Daniel in the evening oblation, nothing withstood him. This was because Gabriel was higher than this chief prince. Kingdoms on earth are not ordinary, Satan’s dominion is to make men flesh/grasses/carnal. It is only the kingdom of God that makes men spiritual. He therefore hates God’s dominion.
“Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judaea in the days of Herod the king, behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem, [2] Saying, Where is he that is born King of the Jews? for we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him.” (Matthew 2:1-2) What the wise men saw as a star was the King of the Jews; this title was a lower title for Jesus. Jesus was the King of the Jews because He was the best Jew who understood worship; He was the prince of worship while He was on earth. Jesus in the flesh was limited. The Pharisees were Jews, not princes or kings. Why they couldn’t accept Jesus as the King of the Jews was because they didn’t see anything Jewish around Him, not knowing that the dominion He was talking about was in the Spirit.
(Dan 10:21) The Lord spoke to Daddy Oyegoke years ago that an angel can never be the prince of Israel. Jesus, walking on the earth, was a Prince. There is a difference between ‘Michael the chief prince’ and ‘Michael your Prince’. Gabriel referred to this Prince as ‘Messiah the Prince’ in Dan 9:25. Another reference was made to Him in Acts 3:25. This Michael means someone who will bear God’s image in a measure –a Michael that will be a little lower than the angels. No one came into this stature except Jesus and He is the one who is referred to as ‘Michael your Prince’.
Our Lord Jesus had in Him everlasting life. In learning, He knew more than the angels; but in making, he was not. His flesh limited him (Jn. 12:24).
“And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book.” (Daniel 12:1) The time mentioned in the scripture above is the time when thick darkness will be upon the face of the earth when Michael will arise. The title “Great Prince” is a title too heavy for an angel to bear. This is someone God will highly exalt; Jesus will rise up at the end of time. This is a stature of Eternal life, a man in the stature of God.
The name Michael is not the name of an angel, it is the name of God. God gave it to an angel set for the last days and it means ‘who is like God?’ In the name Gabriel, 'EL' means Elohim, meaning strength of God. Heiel is the Hebrew word for lucifer, meaning bringer of God’s dawn; then Michael means who is like God? This name Michael is not specific, it is a question, meaning God cannot be found out unless He is revealed.
The name of an angel is not as powerful as the way the Lord received it. This is what Lucifer aspired unto, saying “...I would be like the Most High…” (Isa. 14:13-14). He wasn’t given that access and he knew that the archangel knew and had something; that was why he caused a rebellion in heaven and was thrown down.
If an angel can bear the strength of God, that’s his operation; that’s an excellent name. The name Micheal means 'who is like God' or 'no one is compared to God'. There are men on earth who bear similar names like angels. Daniel, Gabriel, Micheal, Ezekiel – these names are like angelic names. Names like Isaiah, Obadiah, Jeremiah, are names of some kind of angels lower than cherubims; they are names of seraphs. They had names attached to them that speak of Christ. All those names are actually storage of operations that had to do with the earthly things of God. Isaiah, for example, is a name of the holy place. The vision of Isaiah was in the holy place; He saw Jehovah after His name and had encounters in the sanctuary.
When seraphims praise God, they would not mention Elohim which is not after their name; they mention Yahweh, “Holy, Holy, Holy is the Lord of Hosts”. Cherubims would do it differently – “Holy Holy, Holy is the Lord Almighty”. There is a difference between the two modes of worship. Men, out of ignorance, lump everything together, but in heavenly order, it is divided into strata. Your name equals what you can utter; angels praise God according to their stature and level. “Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a two-edged sword in their hand…” (Psalm 149:6) Those who will praise God in this manner are high princes that Jesus has raised. If God names you, He will continually name you until you’re completely saved.
Blessings!
