“All these men of war, that could keep rank, came with a perfect heart to Hebron, to make David king over all Israel: and all the rest also of Israel were of one heart to make David king.” (1 Chro. 12:38). We need to be aware that we are at war with God's enemies. With this knowledge therefore, we ought to behave like people who are interested in the kingdom and not just people who are having fun. This was the manner of men who were sent to David. Although these men were men of war, they could also keep their ranks.
As the knowledge of God grows, we would come to know more about angels. The Bible makes it clear that angels are the highest beings in this present age, but the world to come is not subjected to them (Heb. 2:5). There is a work that Micheal the archangel and his angels are going to achieve in this age before the turn of the next age. These beings (the angels) are always in rank and every one of them is on assignment, with regards to God’s will and order in this age.
In this age, God’s throne is set in heaven and the angels that are allowed to stay around Him are cherubs. The angels are arranged in rank under our Lord, while man was made a little lower than them (Psa. 8:5). God committed Himself to man and not to angels because man has the capacity to ascend. We ascend through the graces or substances of a higher order that are given to us. These substances that are committed to us will help us know where we fall in our rankings. As light is being communicated to us, we are being prepared for this.
Jesus did not come to the earth to just forgive our sins and take us to heaven. This is because going to heaven has never been the aim of all that God has been doing. Rather, the aim was about becoming like Jesus. He was a pattern of how God was brought to the earth and all His glories were taken off Him. When He was a child, God had to instruct His father (Joseph) to run with Him, not considering that He was once God. As His days on earth began to unfold, He began to receive substances in line with how He was going to be raised. As He obeyed commandments from heaven, He was raised far above the heavens (Heb. 1:8).
Jesus was not just sent to die for our sins; He was the pattern Son who was sent to show us exactly what God wants to do in man. God wants to take the weak, frail and unstable man and begin to give him substances and teachings. As man begins to imbibe these things, God will lift him above his estate and he will find grace to do things that he would ordinarily not have done before. When such a man receives commandments, he will find it easier to obey them because he has received substances from above that have now become part of his members. Such a man will find it easier to obey the commandments of the Lord. What happens when we receive and do these commandments is that our estate in the spirit changes. We are being lifted far above angels as we receive substances. What was done in Jesus is exactly what will be replicated in us, but this will not be done properly if it is not done according to order and rank.
Unlike how many of us have been raised, we are being taught by this light to be meek. Many times, the appearance of the Lord to us is dependent on how well we submit and serve our elders in the faith, even as the Lord reveals it to us. When we do this, scriptures will open up to us and we will have encounters. We need to keep our ranks otherwise, the enemy will deal with us and we will not be part of the Lord's army who will take down the dragon. We might be men of war with the high revelations but if we do not keep our ranks, we would not be part of the Lord’s army that will strengthen God’s people against His enemies and the dragon.
The word of God that we hear is for our safety, for we need to be aware of this wily enemy (Satan). We are receiving things that are weighty, even substances that touch the throne. The High Priest goes into the Holy of Holies with chains around his ankle because it is not a place where he can move as he likes. In the same way, we should not handle instruments of worship as we please. If we do things out of order, we can go as far as losing our lives.
We need to behave ourselves orderly if we want to receive everlasting substances and be around the throne. This is because we have an enemy who does not mess about. As we come closer to God, we have to fall in line and in order. We should have no other ambition (not ministry, our careers, etc) but to see the dragon fall; this is the only ambition that the Lord has given to us. Our eyes should be fixed on how we can bring the dragon down.
Blessings!
