Eternal Glorious Fountain Ministry (EGFM)
Believers' Convention 2022 (Day 7 - Morning Session)
Date: Saturday, 13th August 2022
”But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.” (1 Pet. 5:10). God has all grace and the only way He can communicate this grace is by Christ Jesus. This is because Jesus is the conduit of God's grace; He is the instrument of disseminating it. Jesus is full of grace (John 1:14), for He received it from the God of all grace. The ministration of the word and the Spirit are all channels of grace.
“And of his fulness have all we received, and grace for grace.” (John 1:16). In the categorization of grace, you cannot receive all grace at once. It has to be calibrated into levels, and it begins from the grace of our Lord (1 Tim. 1:14). Christ Jesus became a conduit of grace for a higher grace. You cannot receive dominion over sin and iniquity until you have received an abundance of grace or used grace to a high proportion. Grace is given to us in measures through teaching. We move from the grace of Christ to the grace of God.
“And the grace of our Lord was exceeding abundant with faith and love which is in Christ Jesus.” (1 Tim. 1:14). The God of creation is the God of salvation but we cannot access the contents inside Him without grace. The content of the grace in God is what brings salvation. The grace of God has the enablement to make us undefiled, incorruptible and unfading (1 Pet. 1:4). This is the grace that is responsible for our keeping. We do not keep ourselves by our strength; it is the grace of God that has appeared unto us that keeps us.
The contents of the grace of God are able to sanctify us. We need to move from grace to grace, till we arrive at the point of ‘all grace’ — the grace that sanctifies and preserves us, so that the wicked one cannot touch us. The grace of God will insulate us against the forces of corruption and decay that can make our souls become corrupted and lose value. There are things that must be denied so that we can have access to materials that will make us unable to decay. Grace teaches and instructs us against such things.
“Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord…” (2 Pet. 1:2). We access grace by the knowledge of God. Through the grace that God is communicating, help is being given to our souls. Grace is very real; it is a tangible substance. Grace aids our deliverance, for we receive victory over habits and natures by the materials of grace that are being communicated to our souls, chiefly by preaching.
Grace is the strength of God at work in your life. Therefore, when grace is on the increase, strength is also on the increase. But it is possible to frustrate grace or make it of no effect. The men to whom grace has appeared are new men in Christ Jesus, for they have become godly by reason of the grace that sanctifies. At the level of milk, there is a measure of grace that delivers faith and love. But there is also a grace that communicates incorruptibility. The essence of grace is to make us live soberly, righteously and godly, and to have a heart that is very courteous. It is a man who has received the grace of God that can look for the blessed hope (Tit. 2:11-13).
“Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ…” (Tit. 2:13). God wants to move us by grace, to look for the appearance of the Great God. This glorious appearance is the manifestation of the Great God, and He is Eternal Life. The High Priest (Jesus) has the measure of grace that communicates everlasting life, but there are higher dimensions where He is eternal. The grace of God ministers things that pertain to Eternal Life.
“Be not carried about with divers and strange doctrines. For it is a good thing that the heart be established with grace; not with meats, which have not profited them that have been occupied therein.” (Heb. 13:9). God has been communicating grace to us via the teaching of the word. When doctrine is disseminated, grace is being communicated. The grace of God that brings salvation is a grace that teaches truth. No one can go to the Father except by truth. To come to the Father is to come unto life everlasting, and this life can be learnt. Eternal Life can also be learnt and we can learn how to keep ourselves from the evil one.
The word of God is truth. Our inability to comprehend it does not make it untrue. Truth has to be communicated in doctrine, precepts by precepts. Grace and truth have life and when grace is administered to the soul, it shuts down the activities of sin and death within our members. Grace is a voice that can instruct the soul. The desolations in our souls would give way at the voice of grace. Those who think of grace as just a pardon for sin do not know what it really is.
When a soul becomes incorruptible, undefiled and unable to fade away, it shall reign in life (1 Pet. 1:4). This life is everlasting life. The deposit of grace is potent. We can grow in grace and we must keep growing from the grace of Christ into the grace of salvation. We must not be discouraged by our present states, but rather trust in the power of grace to deliver and make us holy.
Blessings!
