Programme: Believers' Convention 2022 (Day 7 Morning Session)

Date: Saturday, 13th August 2022

Topic: Being converted by the revelation of the Lamb

We are on the journey to becoming lambs. God is gradually exposing the theme of this Convention for our understanding. The high point of this theme is that God wants to make us become like Him; He wants to raise people in His image and likeness (Gen. 1:26). There is a configuration that God has and those things can be transferred to man. God in His mercy, wants to give man what makes Him up.

God can be configured in a man. God has content; He has things that make Him who He is. The things in the Godhead are what make them God. The intention of God is to give those things to man because He wants to find an expression in man. God wants man to be like Him. By reason of the things of God that would be given to us, man would be exalted to where God is. It is the giving of His things that would qualify man to sit on God's throne.

It is to our advantage to press and race into the things and substances that make God up. We have a commandment to press into them, for they are real and can be tangible in us. We must agree to the things that would make these things real in us. It is possible to be like God; it is possible to be as low as the Lamb. An enemy configured us to be the opposite of God; our configuration is against God and His dominion, life and authority. The Lamb can be regarded as a child. However, adults do not want to be children and it will take workings of God to convert an adult to a lamb.

Adults do not like to behave like children, but God wants us to live like children; the world of the Kingdom is the world of children. Conversion is what is being declared in the realm of the spirit. We struggle to be children because of the workings of darkness in us. As such, we need to be converted in our souls. However, conversion cannot take place without revelation coming to us.

All the strata of the word and leadings are geared towards conversion to the ultimate purpose of God – becoming a lamb. The instructions and commandments that have been issued to us are to make us like the Lamb. When we obey them, we are converted. God wants to make us children, that is why He issues commandments to us.

The reason for commandments that are against our flesh is to make us lambs. It is possible to be meek! The commandment of not replying when reviled has been given to us and we ought to keep it well because the goal of God for this instruction is to make us lambs, even when every one and our unredeemed internal thoughts call us foolish.

“Therefore speak I to them in parables: because they seeing see not; and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand” (Matt. 13:13). The Lamb on the throne went through the process of conversion. To make Jesus a Lamb, His ears and eyes had to be opened. We have been in the process of being converted and this depends on our individual response. The essence of the revelations we hear and dealings we go through is to end us in being converted.

The kingdom is for children (Matt. 18:3). Satan configured us to be vengeful but God is interested in raising us and making us little. The lifestyle of children and adults are very much contrary. The characteristics of children is that they easily forget wrongs and they reconcile very easily contrary to an adult. An adult is vengeful, so God will bring instructions and commandments to break those natures till we become like children.

There is a way God wants us to live with our neighbours, even when they are cantankerous. God wants us to be children in malice (1 Cor. 14:20). When those around us do not understand the reason we do some things, we must just go ahead and obey the instructions of the Lord. Some might call us hypocrites while we are trying to obey God, but we must neglect them and focus on obeying the instructions of the Lord. We must be careful how we judge people because there is a way God sees each and everyone of us.

Instructions and commandments are to make us low. The Lamb is so low yet so powerful. For one to be made low, such a person must love revelation and obey commandments. God esteems us based on our obedience to commandments and not by how much revelation we have. We must not shy away from revelation, but we should obey! As we obey, we will be converted to little children. It is possible to be like the Lamb and God has put in place the things needed for our conversion.

When revelation is given, a cammandment has been received. Commandments come by understanding. God wants us to be children. A child is unassuming and innocent and we must also possess these virtues. We must not be more careful of what people would say than what God says. As we grow spiritually, we can come to the place where we esteem what God thinks about us above what people think about us.

We must not be quick to break relationships because of offenses. The medicine for friendship is to forgive when offended. We must not be quick or willing to discard friendships no matter what, but should allow the Holy Ghost lead us to heal us and also amend the relationship.

Revelation is needed for conversion. Revelation is the means through which God transfers the molecules of His nature into us. God can be learnt and if He can be learnt, He can be inherited. The transfer of His molecules into us is done by preaching and teaching. Christ was made by the giving of substances of God. For Christ to be formed in us, we must obey the life and doctrine of Christ. When understanding comes, commandment has come. One will however miss inheritance if the commandments that come by understanding are not obeyed.

“Wherefore, if meat make my brother to offend, I will eat no flesh while the world standeth, lest I make my brother to offend.” (1 Cor. 8:13). We should not eat meat that would cause our brethren to stumble. We would grieve the Holy Ghost if souls that had been bought by Christ are offended in us.

“For such an high priest became us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and made higher than the heavens…” (Heb. 7:26). The Lamb is harmless and that is how He also wants us to be, but He was made by knowledge and laws. When we defend ourselves, we are being harmful. To defend oneself is harmful and to also speak evil of another is harmful. We must learn to bridle our tongues and not revile back. One who has a reputation will seek to defend it.

Lambs have no reputation. God will keep dealing with us to learn to be quiet, not to reply and not to make explanations for ourselves. We disobey God because of our reputation. We seek to protect our wrong image in us which is against God's formation; it is the intention of God that, by reason of instructions and commandments, those images would be crushed. When we consider the glory of becoming a lamb, many things will not matter to us again (Heb. 12:2). Reputation cannot be compared to glory.

There is a record in the Father, Word and Spirit (1 John 5:7). This record was put in the Word by revelation when He became flesh (John 1:14). This record is a book containing the things of the Godhead that should also be learnt by man.

Nobody willingly surrenders to becoming a lamb. The reason for preaching and teaching is to join forces with heaven to break configurations in men. The leading of the Spirit cannot be overemphasized in he leading of the Spirit (Ps. 23:3)

“But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.” (1 Cor. 2:9). The things that God prepared for them that love Him are the things of God and they can be given by revelation (1 Cor. 2:10). God has things that make Him up and He has prepared them for those that love Him.

The Father has things that make Him up that He gave to the Son (John 16:15). These things are the substances of the Father. They are laws when they are revealed to man. When things of everlasting life are revealed to a man, such a person will inherit the life. The things the Father gave the Son are the things that He has instructed the Son to also give to us, so we also can be like God. One who has received all the laws of God will know Him and become “His people” (2 Cor. 6:16). “His people” are those who have received the laws responsible for making lambs.

God makes us by commandments that come through teaching. A teacher must be equipped with the things/molecules of Christ that can form Christ and as the people obey, they begin to change. All the teachings and dealings we go through are geared towards making us into slain lambs because the kingdom is made for children.

God heals, but in this season, God wants to raise our body and make it of a higher quality, and this will happen by commandments. As the inward man is being configured, the outward man would also be affected. We degenerated until our bodies could no longer last a century, but the Lord wants to raise the body back. This will happen as we receive the thoughts of the morning and clean the slate like children. Lambs are children and what configures them are laws of the morning.

Commandments, laws, morning thoughts — they affect this body. It is possible to be configured as a lamb and God will instruct so that we can be converted. We just need to obey them! All things have been given to us and we are to obey them all and be converted. Conversion is gradual, so do not be discouraged! If you fall, rise up again!

We should hear, do and become converted! God would give grace to our feet this season and we would be quick to hear, understand and do so that conversion will occur on a daily basis. Conversion will keep taking place internally until we become lambs, harmless, defenseless and tender.

Blessings!
