Apostle John spoke of the fellowship which was from the beginning (1 John 1:3). This is not the beginning of God; it is the beginning of creation called the realm of the morning stars. The "beginning" is not just when something begins; it is a realm. Except we are called and granted access or entrance into this realm, we would not be able to partake in this beginning. The thoughts of this realm are very high and should not be watered down. God measures faithfulness even in the delivery of the speakings of this realm. A minister must not reduce the word because of the people so that the word does not lose its potency. The word must retain its authenticity just as God says it.
“And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof.” (Rev. 21:23). The Lamb explains the glory of God; He is the One that would express the things of glory. It is not easy to interpret the Eternal God. In eternity, we would still have to depend on the Lamb to understand God. There is no time we would be independent of the Lamb. There is something He has as the First Begotten. Even though we would also become begotten of the Father, we will still have to depend on the Lamb to understand the Eternal God.
“No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, He hath declared Him.” (John 1:18). It is the sovereignty of God to appear; no one can force Him. He can choose not to appear. What Moses received was a projection of God, that was not the Eternal God. “God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets…” (Heb. 1:1). Even in sundry times and diverse manners, God was not really seen. He dealt with them with projections of Himself. The Only Begotten Son who is in the bosom of the Father is the only one that revealed Him.
There are things that are of the bosom of the Father. John was saying that they have heard and seen these things with their eyes (1 John. 1:1). These are things of the beginning. This ability to see is not of the physical eyes; it speaks of inward sight. The company of them that saw the things of the beginning is different from the company of them that were hearing it. There is even a stature required to hear the declaration of the beginning, so it is not everyone that fits into the company of them that hears.
“If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.” (1 John. 1:8). John spoke of his company and that they still have a measure of sin. This shows that sin is a mystery that needs a mystery to dissolve it. There is the tendency for us to come to the point where we are tempted to think we have no sin. Sin here is ignorance. The purpose of light shining is so that sin can be taken away. Sin is actually a "most high" thing. Our limitation of what sin is what has kept us perpetually under it. Many of us are ignorant of what sin actually is.
And he shewed me Joshua the high priest standing before the angel of the LORD, and Satan standing at his right hand to resist him. (Zech. 3:1). Joshua the high priest is an entity of the Most Holy Place. To stand in the Most Holy Place, one has to be called (Heb. 5:4). Joshua the high priest was called but lo and behold, a filthy garment was found on him (Zech. 3:3) and Satan was standing at his right hand. The right hand is a place of strength. Lucifer understands the position of the right hand because he is also a most high being. We are not exalting Satan; we need to see him for who he is so that we would not be deceived into taking false doctrines.
Satan is a terrible entity; he knows how to make one sin from the beginning. He was teaching the churches in the book of Revelation wrong doctrine. If we do not have the understanding of the Son of God, then we would not know when Satan would start teaching us to eat food sacrificed to idols. So, we have to grow in revelation and understanding.
Satan was standing at the right hand of Joshua to hinder him, thereby preventing him from offering unto God. Satan has the ability to hinder service. He even hindered Paul (1 Thess. 2:18) and also hindered Moses when he was bringing the law to the people of Israel. He entered the camp of the Israelites and made them break the laws that were written on the tablets of stone so that God became angry with them. Satan hinders the people of God. He was resisting Joshua because he had legal grounds to do so. Lucifer understands laws in the spirit, though we might call him a lawless being. The legal ground he stands on is our sin.
God wants to remove every ground Satan stands on, that is why we have an advocate - Jesus. The reason for this fellowship is so that God would remove every ground for Satan to resist us. “And the LORD said unto Satan, The LORD rebuke thee, O Satan; even the LORD that hath chosen Jerusalem rebuke thee: is not this a brand plucked out of the fire?” (Zech. 3:2) It had to take the Lord to say and rebuke Satan. The scripture says He would baptize us with the Holy Ghost and with fire (Matt. 3:11). Joshua the son of Jehosedec had gone through fire and tribulation. Fire is for purification. The baptism of fire starts from the learning of Christ. There is the fire of Christ and there is a greater fire – a consuming fire – whom we have to serve (Heb. 12:29). We must partake of the fire baptism.
The Lord rebuked Satan by the measure of things He said. As we hear the things God says, Satan is being rebuked; those things are fire. As the Lord says it, then the ground that Satan is standing to accuse us would be removed. Joshua did not know his spiritual state. This also pertains to us, because we also do not know the garment we are wearing, but the Lord sees it and Satan sees it too. These garments are not external.
Garments are the things that call Satan. Once he sees a spot in your garment, he comes. He is the one that puts the spot because the spots are his. But thank God for Jesus who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners and made higher than the heavens (Heb. 7:26); who is for us! He is made higher than the realm of the morning star where our accusations come from. He is the only One that wears a garment without a spot. That is the fellowship that we are being called into; it is called the fellowship of His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord (1 Cor. 1:19). He is a High Priest that has the ability to purge iniquity.
Sin morphs. At every level of life, we would have to deal with the sin. Sin in the camp is different from the sin in the Outer Court. In the Holy Place, there is another phase of sin. Sin is also present in the Most Holy. Iniquity is sin made manifest in the Most Holy Place and the Son of God is set to destroy the sin of the Most Holy Place. “Thou shalt have no other gods before Me.” (Exo. 20:3). Iniquity is to have a god besides the Eternal God; it is to have another god in addition to God. We add things by our perception. Satan performed iniquity. He acknowledged that there is the Most High God but he wanted to be beside God (Isa. 14:12-14).
We must not usurp authority over the person the Lord has placed over us. Anyone that would usurp natural authorities placed over him such as his pastor can do it to the Lord. We all have that tendency but God is set to remove it. As long as that thing is there, it is a spot. A spot was what Satan needed to resist Joshua, as such his garments needed to be changed. They had to put a mitre upon him and admit him to another fellowship where those things would be removed. Having a change of garment does not mean it cannot be spotted again, hence the giving of commandments.
“Thus saith the LORD of hosts; If thou wilt walk in My ways, and if thou wilt keep My charge, then thou shalt also judge My house, and shalt also keep My courts, and I will give thee places to walk among these that stand by.” (Zech. 3:7) We would come into judgment as we keep the commandments. Our garments are changed by the things They say to us. They call us to a higher fellowship by the words that are spoken to us; They change us by words. When our garments are changed then we are commanded. We must walk in the light. When we walk then we would be given a place to stand. We would inherit a place by a walk. We cannot walk without commandments. We have to be shown how to walk and in walking, we would find a place to stand. One who is standing is a stakeholder in the realm of the fellowship.
God wants to bring us to a place where Satan would no longer be able to accuse us. This is the reason for the emphasis of the messages that have been coming. The messages speak of fellowship or formation. These words are to enable us to stand, abide and arrive at a place where we would be immovable and unshakeable by the enemy.
Blessings!
