Ministering: Pastor Tayo Fasan

When we are being raised in the stature of Christ, there are lusts that faith, hope and charity will help us to overcome (James 1:14). However, it will take Divine nature to be made immune to every temptation of lust. The Divine nature was responsible for upgrading Jesus' status over time, until He became a living spirit. It was not enough for Jesus to overcome the devil shortly after Jordan; He still had to be certified as One who had acquired Divine nature before the victory of the cross. Satan could not find anything in Him because He had Divine nature (John 14:30).

We are instructed to "Come out from amongst them and be ye separate" (2 Corinthians 6:17). This is the only way we can escape this world. We are being made conquerors as we escape the corruption that is in the world through lust (2 Peter 1:4). However, a man needs the doctrine of Christ to make him an elite of faith who can overcome the world (1 John 5:4).

The word of Christ has been divided rightly in our midst and that is why we have made profit with it. The first profit in the economy of the New Testament is Charity. In Hebrews 2:11, the people in the Church were called brethren because they had been sanctified. Holy brethren are those who have been raised into stones; such have journeyed from Faith, to Hope and then arrived in Charity.

Our human mind cannot comprehend the beauty of the paradise called Eden. Adam was perfect only to a measure because he still had a lack; thus, God gave him a commandment to tend the garden (Genesis 2:15). The way to keep our hearts is by the sayings of God. The word of Christ and that of God are the levels of Word that will keep Satan out of our hearts. This is how Satan will be kept out of the garden that God is tending inside us.

Obedience to the commandments of Faith, Hope and Charity will help us take our eyes off ourselves. We would thereby be weaned from unbelief and pride. The dealings we go through are to remind us that we are still men who need to take our eyes off ourselves, just like Paul did. Our warfare is to appreciate in humility and meekness, even as we grow in revelation knowledge.

When you overcome an evil spirit which you have not previously overcome, you will qualify for reactions from higher (evil) spirits. Evil spirits are out to attack our sight. Many of the things that we have been tempted with came as we romanced a beauty we saw and the edge that it would give us above others.

The thoughts of God are found in His word. As we hear, look upon, and handle His word, we are given ownership of His word (1 John 1:1). We cannot gain mastery of any given word from God if we do not look upon it. As we look upon, we see the demands and begin to ask God for help to love and choose Him.

A time is coming when immortal substances will be found in us (2 Timothy 1:10). We will hear the things that pertain to immortality because men would have profited and overcome the love of money. It takes everlasting life to overcome the love of money. The love of money constitutes the love of what money can do.

We would only come into the Eternal reign when we have mastered the reign of Everlasting Life. We can come to this point if we remain under God. Satan's undoing was that he came out of God’s covering.

"I give thee charge in the sight of God, who quickeneth all things, and before Christ Jesus, who before Pontius Pilate witnessed a good confession” (1 Timothy 6:13). When Jesus was tempted, He did not open His mouth because He did not see His Father do that. He professed Faith while He was in the house of Joseph and afterwards, He grew to profess Everlasting Life.

A time is coming when Jesus will come to give Everlasting Life. It is when we have received all the goods called Everlasting Life that God can dwell and walk in us (2 Corin. 6:16). We have the Gospel that will bring life and immortality to light (2 Tim. 1:10). In this generation, God is raising men who will be prepared for His reward.
