Ministering: Pastor Ayo Omosehin
The things we are receiving in this Convention are a result of the sacrifice of some men. They are doctrines and revelations that are backed by God's intention to raise men who know the way of the Lord. It is very difficult to raise men who minister the way of the Lord; but the ministers of God in this ministry constantly lay down their lives for us because of their desire to feed the flock. The essence of all that we have learnt so far in this Convention is to enable us to help our pastors plough the ground well, when we return to our various local assemblies. Doing this will require us to forgo our respective visions, missions, and ambitions and rather submit under these ministers; so that the work which the Lord is doing will prosper on earth.
We all have to pay the ultimate sacrifice of letting go of our various visions and missions for the sake of this gospel. Our parents in the Lord have played their parts by living out this life. However, if we do not submit under them, we will not know the sacrifices and commandments they lived by to keep this gospel on earth. We need to preserve this gospel on earth; therefore, we would need to lay down our pride, fame, visions, and ambitions according to the manner that the Lord requires of all of us.
What the Cherubims guarded in the garden was not the Tree of Life, but the way that leads to it (Gen. 3:24). Without a way, there would be no access to life; for every way has a life that it generates (John 14:6). The way of the Lord must be kept upon the earth. Men like Abraham and Moses were men of the way because they were led through the way (Psa. 103:7).
"I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called, [2] With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love..." (Eph. 4:1-2). The essence of doctrine is to culture a nature in man; that nature is a way. It can be very interesting to learn and have revelations of the word; but if certain things like lowliness and meekness are lacking, we are bound to come into errors. As such, we should gladly accept corrections from our pastors and submit to them. When we do this, we will be kept from and be discerning of evil spirits, who may even pretend to be angels of the Lord.
We ought to be a generation that has character. Character is a product of ways. The Lord, as well as the set man over this ministry (Rev. Kayode Oyegoke), desire that we show forth the characters described in Ephesians 4:1-2.
The Lord also wants all men to love their wives. He wants us to build strong spiritual homes because that is the first place where we can apply these doctrines. Satan wants to kill our generation by scattering many homes; but men ought to love their wives and women ought to submit to their husbands (Eph. 5:25,33).
We must believe the moves of the Spirit and doctrines that visit us. This is because when our belief wanes, the strength of these visitations also wanes. As we believe, the Lord will perform His Word.
