                Transcript Excerpt

The purpose of Believers’ Convention is to harvest people into a place which is supposed to be the next level of their order in the spirit.

Ministering and preaching are not the same thing. The offices of the five-fold are ministry gifts from Christ to, first of all, preach. Preaching is the calling; so, under preaching, there is teaching. The nature of those offices is that they are first of all preachers and teachers. Preaching the Bible is the dissemination of life; it is a creativity of the Spirit that comes with being raised or endowed by God, to pour forth the word of God ceaselessly.

The office of a prophet is an office of God’s ways; a prophet sees scripture. Prophets can see visions and prophecy, but when it is only those things they are doing, they are just doing something that is attached to the garment of the prophet, not the stature of the prophet. The stature of a prophet is a stature of word and spirit. Anyone who is anointed becomes exposed, so there is a need for one to guard his head. Do not open doors for evil spirits. There is a way we can yield to other spirits when we are not patient enough to wait on the Lord. When a man of God forcefully wants revelational gifts, evil spirits would forcefully give it to him.

We should be satisfied with not being used by the Holy Spirit. Anointed men can easily connect with evil spirits. This is why we need to be solid on precepts. We taught precepts for a long time because a person can fall in the realm of the spirit, if not guided by the word. Any time the Bible is being taught, evil spirits are dispelled because they do not like the Bible. When our hearts are open to the Spirit, it would be easier for the Spirit to move. Moves of the Spirit are real and genuine but we must do them within the guidelines of safety. We have to follow the guidelines of safety, else people could get possessed. Another safeguard is to walk in charity (1 Cor. 14:1)

“And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; [12] for the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: [13] till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ…” (Eph. 4:11-13). The fivefold ministry is a building-block ministry. They are ordained to bring people to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ. God’s intention for this Convention is to harvest people into everlasting life.

"For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: [17] and he is before all things, and by him all things consist. [18] And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence." (Col. 1:16-18). The Church was not created by Jesus, rather it was born by Him, meaning that the Church is higher than creation. The Head of the Church is the One who is qualified to have pre-eminence. The Church, which is the body of Christ, is actually the body of God. God decided that His body would be men, not angels. That is why we should discern the body of Christ. No man is higher than the body except the Head of the Church. The five-fold ministry are servants of the body. They are the ones who wash the body; therefore, they should serve it with fear and care.

Your body is your spirit but your soul is a church. We are all joined with the Lord, so we are one spirit with Him. The skilful shepherding is necessary for souls. Pastors should be able to raise the sheep until the sheep can master how to be led. David was picked to the throne from following the sheep; he learned from the sheep. It means we can learn from the Church. Ministers of the gospel have made mistakes because they have not perfected leadings of the Spirit and witnesses. Leading of the Spirit makes a church healthy.

"But he that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins. [10] Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall: [12] for so an entrance shall be ministered unto you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ." (2 Pet. 1:9-11). Everything that is to be added to faith are elements of Christ. They are lines and precepts of Christ that we should add to the faith so that we would not be barren, and would bear fruits unto everlasting life.

"[1] Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children; [2] and walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour. [3] But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becometh saints; [4] neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not convenient: but rather giving of thanks." (Eph. 5:1-4). We cannot be dear children to God except Christ has worked on us. In our sojourning to Christ, the things mentioned in Ephesians 5:3-4 should no longer be in us.

"The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, Because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; He hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, And recovering of sight to the blind, To set at liberty them that are bruised…" (Luke 4:18). We should not teach beyond what the Spirit has given us. Poverty in Luke 4:18 is not a lack of money, so this verse cannot be used to mean physical prosperity. A person who is ready for the tidings of God must be poor because of the disciplines that are involved in the tidings. A person who is not poor would not be able to keep and follow the demands of the tiding. It is dangerous to hear the tidings and not keep it, because one who does not keep it could become worse, such that it would require a higher tiding to deliver such a one.

Tidings begin when God wants to open His face. Thus, there can be no tidings if God is not willing to open His face. The gospel comes from God’s face. There are two dimensions to the gospel: good tidings and good tidings of good (Isa. 52:7). The good tidings are the message of the first kingdom of God. The good tidings of good are the message of the everlasting Kingdom. The Person who possessed the message of the Kingdom was Jesus.

God comes to a generation or a people that can receive the tidings. He knows how to measure a people by His jurisdiction and judgement. If a church is not in a healthy state of meekness, God will not send “beautiful feet” there because the church can injure suchfeet and offend God. God in His mercies would first hide His face and release His hand instead to such a church.

“Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. [22] Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? [23]And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.” (Matt. 27:21-23). This means such people would only know the gifts and manifestations of God, but they would not know God Himself. A person can be a mighty man of God but not be known in heaven. Pastors should do a ministry that would make them known in heaven.

"There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews: [2] the same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him. [3] Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God." (John 3:1-3). It is possible to see the Kingdom and also see far into the Kingdom, which is to see the body of the Kingdom. This is what empowers one to know that there is a Kingdom.

It is a breakthrough for a believer to agree, after the new birth, that there is a Kingdom. If all that Jesus died for is to take us to heaven, then we do a disservice to His death. Heaven is a higher world that God created but that was not His original dwelling place. Heaven was made for angels; it is not God’s world. God has His Kingdom which rules over all. (Psalm 103:19). God gave us Himself which is more than going to heaven.

“Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. [6] That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.” (John 3:5-6). The first statement is the recreation of the spirit, but the second statement, which is to be born of water and the spirit, is for the soul. At New Birth, although our spirits have been quickened, we are still flesh -- we are carnal. The Holy Ghost did not touch the soul yet, but He has touched the spirit. When we begin to hear these tidings, the Holy Ghost begins to come upon us to change us to spirit.

“Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.” (John‬ 3‬:5‬). “Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; [26] That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word…” (Eph. 5:25-26). Knowledge washes. When water washes, spirit comes. Spirit is the grace of Christ and this is the kingdom domain of knowledge (precepts). When water washes one, it introduces such into the womb of the Spirit which is the Holy Ghost. The Holy Ghost knows how to drop flesh from a man. The flesh is a kind of spirit; it does not refer to the outward body. It is a nature and an entity that is anti-God. When the Holy Ghost begins to lead a man, flesh would begin to drop, as such, he who is born of flesh would be born of Spirit. Satan can hold flesh down but he cannot hold spirit; this is when we are set free.

“The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.” (John 3:8). The mother of the Church is the Holy Ghost. He takes care of us in order to present us to Christ. The closer we get to Christ, the windier we become. Satan can hold flesh down but he cannot hold spirit; this is when we are set free. To set us free is to allow us to behave as a spirit. Our souls used to be windy. The living soul was a kind of spirit that Satan studied and gradually solidified, making it ungodly (flesh). A flesh is one that can be determined. Evil spirits can read flesh but they cannot read spirits.

The apostles were on earth but they could not fly despite being full of the Holy Ghost, because they were not receiving doctrine. Doctrine are winds (Eph. 4:14). Just as an eagle waits for wind, the apostles also had to wait for the wind. So Paul had to be brought in to make them fly.  After Paul got converted, he started preaching Christ. He began by spiritual vision which lasted for days before his eyes were opened and was given the doctrine. He was seeing Christ and this affected the church with the message of Christ. The message of Christ is the message of ascension. People were being born and set free so they could arrive there.

“And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up: [15] That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life. [16] For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” (John 3:14-16). Jesus wants men to go to heaven. The heavenly message deals with perishing while earthly message deals with being setting free. A man can be set free, yet not saved. To be saved is for one not to perish. When a man is set free as a wind, such would go up where he would be received and taught by Jesus on how not to perish. Salvation is an inheritance incorruptible, undefiled and unfading (1 Pet. 1:4).

We must have the desire to enter the Kingdom. We must not go to heaven without entering the Kingdom. Honour would also be conferred on those that enter the Kingdom. There are ministers in heaven to attend to saints who enter the Kingdom and there are also attendants for those who overcome. We must do that which will give us a better placement in heaven because there are lots there.

God would remove the present heaven and bring a new one (Rev. 21:1). If we are only desirous of getting to heaven, we may find ourselves in the new earth. However, we must ensure that we are becoming spiritual to go to the new heaven. Angels are also interested in the new heaven but it is not given to them; it is given to man.

Heaven is real. Heaven is full of joy. The new heaven is a home of joy. There would be no more tears. We must press to enter the new heaven. To enter the new heaven, we must receive everlasting life here on earth. The Godhead wants to give us everlasting life here on earth; that was why Paul said an abundant entrance would be ministered unto us (2 Pet. 1:11). Our desire must be to enter the everlasting Kingdom.
