Transcript Excerpt

This year's Convention has no theme, but there is a theme in the Spirit. There is something specific the Spirit is saying (Rev. 2:29), and God is helping us to catch it so it can be proclaimed for everyone to run with it. One of the emphases that has been coming through the ministers is that it is time for us to move into God’s original purpose for us, the reason for the gospel. The Scripture calls the gospel, the gospel of our salvation (Eph. 1:13); that is, the gospel is meant to deliver to us salvation. The end of the journey is that we are saved.

To be saved is not only limited to the new birth, even though the new birth is the beginning of it. To be saved is to come into a formation. Salvation is our inheritance; this is what and who we become. What we become is our inheritance, not just what we possess. There are things we possess so that we can become what we should become, but the real inheritance is what we possess.

Salvation is an inheritance (Heb. 1:14). When we speak of salvation as an inheritance, we are speaking of a being. Salvation is a person. “The Lord is my light and my salvation” (Ps. 27:1). To be saved is to inherit and own the Lord God.

One thing that is plaguing the coming generation is lack of honour and it is going to be a major accusation. Lack of honour is prevalent today, especially amongst many young people, and it is the devil that has raised men so. What God is demonstrating through us as we receive the gospel and revelation is the conversation of the life we are pressing into. There is no way one can press into that life without the culture of honour. The Bible says to honour all men (1 Pet. 2:17), moreso, especially those who are older. One cannot be accessing the realm of the spirit without having some measure of honour. This generation will increase in honour for all men and for one another. One thing young people should learn is not to rebuke an elder (1 Tim. 5:1). It is not right to talk down on an elder, he should rather be entreated, even if the younger person were right. It is disorderliness in the realm of the spirit to speak rudely to an elder.

Inheriting salvation means that God is being emptied into man. What should form us are the substances of God. The original vision God has for man is for man to be in God’s image and after His likeness (Gen. 1:26). God is salvation, so man in Their image and likeness is a man who has inherited salvation. For us to inherit salvation, we must come into the things of God. The substances of God are what makes for our salvation. Salvation means God being emptied into man.

Man in his fallen state cannot take God in His raw essence. The things of God are given by knowledge and revelation but a fallen man cannot outrightly take those things. Therefore when we are born again, we are first fed with the milk of the word. The milk of the word prepares us to take the meat (Heb. 5:12, 14). Meat is the giving of the knowledge of God.

There are levels of life. John 10:10 speaks of God giving us life “more abundantly”. However, to give us the life of God, They have to start us from the beginning. We are first introduced to the life in Christ. The life of God is in measures. Christ has measures. "Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:" (Eph. 4:13). Jesus was raised by different measures of the life of God. This is the same way God wants to raise us.

The life of God is controlled by laws which are meant to be obeyed. After we are fed with the milk of the word, They begin to give us “line upon line, precept upon precept” (Isa. 28:10). The revelation heaven brings would not do anything to us except we are able to translate them to life. The Spirit of God broods upon the revelation to bring us instructions, so we can know how to apply the revelation.

When Christ is being revealed, truth can be fetched. However, it takes the leading of the Spirit to know what truth is and what truth is meant to do. The essence of truth is for walk. The truth is in Jesus (Eph. 4:21). So when Christ is preached, the Spirit of God would bring out truth from the knowledge; as one does that truth, one inherits it and it becomes part of one’s formation. It is in doing that we are formed. The truth that one knows but does not go ahead to do cannot frame such.

We were previously framed by lies taught us by Lucifer. Without the things of God, hell is present in every man’s soul. Even when one becomes born again, hell is still present. The only way to purge hell is to unlearn it through the learning of Christ. We become spiritual by learning Christ and doing Him (that is, doing His laws. The learning of Christ helps us to break the law of unrighteousness. As we learn Him, we go against those wrong formations in our souls; and most times, the process is unpalatable.

“Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are perfect: yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of the princes of this world, that come to nought:” (1 Cor. 2:6). A perfect man is a man that has been raised by the doctrine of Christ, and has been fully formed. In Christ, there is the perfect man and also the measure of the fullness of Christ. However, the fullness is not given to anyone just like that, but gradually. Becoming a perfect man is good, however, what God is seeking is more than a perfect man. A perfected man has Christ as a formation, but the Bible says there is more that the perfect man needs, which is wisdom. Without speaking that wisdom to us, we can never come into glory.

The wisdom or gospel of Christ is meant to empower us to go for salvation. It is one whose state has been changed from a carnal man to spiritual that can be empowered. It takes a spiritual man to be able to interact with the things of God.

"But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him." (1 Cor 2:9). God loves everyone but He cannot give His things to everyone because it would be like casting your pearls to swine. For God to give us things, He must have tested that we love Him. It is after that He begins to bring the things of salvation to us. Those who love Him are those who keep His commandments (John 14:21). And it is only those who love Him He would give His things to.

“But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.” (1 Cor 2:10). These are the things that would bring us into salvation. They are meant for our formation. As men, we have our things which we inherited from Satan;  they are responsible for who we are (Eph. 2:2). The world trained us to walk in lust. We walked until we were formed. Formation comes by walking.

In the learning of Christ, They bring laws that are in Christ to us which begin to teach us against our previous formations, to crack it. The Spirit of God leads us out of flesh. Man became flesh through tutoring from wrong spirits supervised by the god of this world. Salvation is about cracking down formations and building a new formation. They start us with Christ to crack flesh and carnality.

The Spirit of the Lord often brings us specific instructions to lead us out of our carnality. It might be a troublesome brother or sister in Christ, and the Spirit of God will instruct you to love such and treat them as Christ. That is how They teach us to be spiritual. It is after that training the believer becomes spiritual and such can begin to relate with the things of God— the deep things of God.

“For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.” (Eph. 2:10). It is work against work, and walk against walk. The reason God is teaching us revelation is for us to engage in another kind of walk. You walk in Christ until you are built up as a perfect man; then They begin to work in you. You become by walking. The Lord said, “keep walking”. As understanding comes, engage it by walking. We were entangled (formed) by walking; we would be conformed by another kind of walk.

The revelation of the things of God shows us what to do to inherit. Without walking (obedience), one cannot inherit God’s things. The things of God contain the ways, thoughts, righteousness and judgment of God that should make us know Him. A carnal man who is not perfect cannot be taught the things of God. The learning of Christ gives one discernment. (Heb. 5:14)

"For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God." (1 Cor. 2:11). The things of God are communicated by knowledge and understanding; and they come through speaking. This is why we must not joke with speaking (teachings), and we must give it the more earnest heed (Heb. 2:2-4). The things God has ordained for our salvation are being spoken. Salvation has been packaged into words. The things we are hearing are the means through which we are being made.

As ministers of the gospel, God wants us to speak His things to His people. He is raising us with the ability to minister the New Testament. The core of the New Testament is the ministration of everlasting life, which He called the ministration of the Spirit, of righteousness, of glory. They contain the righteousness, judgment and thoughts of God. Although it is not often easy to engage and hold the truth, God will help us at this level because His ways and thoughts are not the same as ours.

The Lord would empower us to yield to what He is revealing. One thing that characterizes this season is a high level of lowliness and meekness. Everlasting life is the life for the “little ones”. One law that stands in everlasting life is littleness; it is the life of becoming nothing. This is a law we must all learn to obey.

Jesus said, “...Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.” (Matt. 18:3). The devil taught us to be “big” and “old” in our eyes. As we press into everlasting life, conversion should be taking place. The giving of His things by the Spirit would help us to see Him as He is, because His substances are the things that made/framed Him.

Everlasting life is a life that would conform us into men who can carry the glory of God. The glory of God is meant for people with the image of the Son. These are days of engaging everlasting righteousness. It is meant for conversion, to become little. We often get offended because we are “something”. When you are “nothing”, nothing offends you. It takes the appearance of the Lord to bring us to this level.

We need to see Him as He is; there is a way He is. Laws and righteousness are what made Him that way. He obeyed righteousness. The Father gave standards of righteousness to the Son and the Son obeyed all of them. As He was obeying, He was rising, He was being formed.

There is an everlasting commandment for everlasting life. We should yield our members to trap life from one level of life to another. If you want to live, yield to righteousness. We gain everlasting life by obedience to the righteousnesses of God (Rom. 6:19, 22). The end is everlasting life. The reward of God is Eternal Life, which They give to a man who has fully used everlasting righteousnesses, and has been raised therewith.

As everlasting righteousness is being given to us and as we engage it, we are being changed; that is salvation. We would not fall short of the expected change in this season. God would enable us to engage the things He is painting to us by obeying them. We inherit by obedience. Obedience would become our everyday life. Amen.

God wants to make us priests, such that the only possession we would hold is God. He is the inheritance of the priests. God wants to be our possession and the only way He can do so is to give us His things. As we align with them, they would become our inheritance.
