                          Transcript Excerpt

“Because all those men which have seen my glory, and my miracles, which I did in Egypt and in the wilderness, and have tempted me now these ten times, and have not hearkened to my voice…” (Num. 14:22).  God is a God who keeps records. The Lord told Israel, “…these ten times you have offended me”. These were men whom God showed His glory; they saw the miracles and the manifestations of God in the wilderness. Yet, they tempted God ten times, and He kept record. He was showing them that they had not hearkened to His voice.

The Son of God has come and He has been speaking and teaching. He has shown us many sides to Him. God can ooze out of any man, irrespective of their physical frame. In His own wisdom, He packaged us in different forms and we ooze out different parts of Him.

We tempt God by disobeying His instructions, by not giving heed to His voice. When He speaks, leads, gives instructions and directions, and we take them lightly, we harden our hearts. We have been taught a way of thinking all along, but when He comes, it is to help us unlearn what we have learned before and learn something else – Christ.

There is always something that makes us. There is a way our minds have been set even before coming to Christ. That is why we keep hearing that after the salvation of the spirit, there is still a need for salvation in our souls. It is the soul that God has problems with. Even as we are here and we are being blessed, some of us have still not pressed into the blessing. We have become so used to the joy of the experience of the Holy Place such that we have become too comfortable there.

We are usually told to give up the seen for the unseen. This is because we like to hold on to systems and lights that have been working, but when God begins to turn off the switch of the previous light, we are quick to repair it, meanwhile God has a higher light for us. There is a light that we have access to in the Holy Place, but we always want to hold on to our light, and we need to die to that.

God keeps records. Heaven is jotting down all the things we have heard, are hearing, and will still hear. He knows what we have heard; He knows how He has appeared to us, so He keeps a record. There will be another coming after this coming. One of the questions we will answer is whether and how we have responded to what we have heard.

In the academic setting, there is a register that bears a child’s name after enrollment. After the third term, the results are used to judge whether the child is qualified for the next level. So, records must be kept, and heaven is keeping records. What will qualify us for the next stage is how well we have done in the past. They will also check how many times we have tempted God and have not yielded to Him.

We must realise that God is keeping records. The vision, the lines of thoughts, the revelations, are all the word of God and they stand sure. As long as they are coming from the mouth of God, a record is being kept. One day, we will give account of the things we have heard and that have been taught. That is why we must take heed because these things can easily slip from us (Heb. 2:1). What we should keep are the commandments, instructions, leadings, and experiences.

We have been taught to depend on our brain so much. Anyone who wants to go on with the Lord should not depend on the brain because it cannot take us far. We should use our jotters and pen down things; it is part of keeping records. What we pen down today can be picked up again in thirty years.  Our jotters cannot lie.

A lot of us cannot stay; we ran away from the quarry, and that is why we cannot come near the temple, because we did not allow ourselves to be sharpened at the quarry. A man that has not been built after the order of Christ cannot fit or enter. We hate suffering but we must suffer with him so that we will be glorified at the end.  We must remember that God is keeping records. We must therefore watch out.

Blessings!
