“Moreover, brethren, I would not that ye should be ignorant, how that all our fathers were under the cloud, and all passed through the sea…” (1 Cor. 10:1). The Israelites were under a cloud in the wilderness when Moses was leading them from Egypt to the promised land. They were baptised unto Moses in the cloud and in the sea and were able to partake of the meat that God served in the wilderness, which is Christ. This cloud was the cloud of the angel that God sent to work with Moses (Exo. 13:21-22). The Lord worked something in Moses that could keep the cloud. The essence of the cloud was to enable the people of Israel to undertake their journey from Egypt till they arrived in the promised land thereby, fulfilling the will of God.
One of the protocols that the Israelites had to observe through this process was to remain under that cloud. Before the eyes of the people, the cloud was tied to Moses, for it moved after his command. This was because the angel worked with Moses. As such, the people listened to Him. The reason why God worked in Moses the way He did (prior to this time) was so that Moses would be able to work with the ministering spirit, who was a pillar upon which that cloud stood. The Lord is also using this same principle in this season when everlasting works are being done.
Moses was raised to be an everlasting man. But for him to be able to carry out that ministry to the fullest, the children of Israel needed to be under that cloud. For us to come into the provision of the things everlasting that are being given by God at these times, we need to trust the Lord to stay under a cloud. There is a cloud that is over the servant of God, Reverend Kayode Oyegoke, who is the set man over this ministry. We therefore have to be cautious to discern it. Coming under the cloud is submitting to the activities of the Spirit of God, amongst other things that are upon the man of God.
“And they rose early in the morning, and went forth into the wilderness of Tekoa: and as they went forth, Jehoshaphat stood and said, Hear me, O Judah, and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem; Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.” (2 Chron. 20:20). One wisdom we can use to maximize the provision of this season is to believe the word of God through His servant. Part of the wisdom of believing is to submit to the activity of the Spirit of God season in, season out, as the Lord brings it upon His minister. We should do this particularly with ministers who have peculiar responsibilities to the body of Christ, like we have in the servant of God – Rev. Kayode Oyegoke.
The Lord has brought something upon His servant so that we can take things everlasting. We must therefore tap into this grace that God has put upon Him and all His servants to be able to connect the meal for this season. If we do not believe those graces, there would be a stumbling block in our hearts that will prevent us from receiving the meat and drink that God desires to give through them. We should therefore trust God to believe them.
The warfare in the wilderness was to hinder men from believing because the adversary did not want the people of God to enter the promised land (Heb. 3:19). He made them have reservations towards Moses, Aaron and other members of their family (Num. 16:1-3) to hinder their journey to the promised land.
God wants us to push further in understanding. Therefore, we need to pray for capacity to believe in His servant – Rev. Kayode Oyegoke. We should believe in God and His servant, so that we can receive the things He has put on him. This is so that we may be able to connect the meal of everlasting life through him.
