Eternal Glorious Fountain Ministry (EGFM)
Programme: Writing The Vision Prayer Meeting - Day 2
Date: Tuesday, 17th May 2022
Ministering: Reverend Kayode Oyegoke
The call to fellowship is an experience of the love of God. Anyone who says he has fellowship with God will not walk in darkness because God walks in the realm of light (1 John 1:5-6). This means if a man can walk in the light, he would walk as God walks.
"And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people." (2 Cor. 16:6). God has to dwell in men before He can walk in them. According to the above verse, to be "their God" means God will be their life while to be "His people" means they will be a company of people who translate the life of God and live it out. This is the first promise, but there are other promises attached to it. As seen in the verse above, inheriting the nature of the Father and of God, and becoming sons, daughters and a people are all promises.
When a man is brought to the light, he can see how God walks. The inability to see this light is darkness. When the light is being ministered and a man does not have access to it, he will do something else that is less than the light. A soul that has become Christ and obtained sanctification can still walk in darkness. Such a soul may not know that he is walking in darkness because he is ignorant. This is why we need the ministry of the High Priest to show us the way into God's light.
"For every high priest taken from among men is ordained for men in things pertaining to God, that he may offer both gifts and sacrifices for sins." (Heb. 5:1). The class of men from whom a high priest is taken are not ordinary; they are men whom God can talk to, and they can yield to the calling of the high priesthood. When Adam (the first man) was created, God made him a living soul. However, God intended to birth him into a higher nature (an eternal one). God births men, not babies. In this context, man does not refer to one who has age in the natural but one who has been formed.
There is a slight difference between a man who is formed and one who is an image. Christ is a form of God (Gal. 4:19). Godliness is a form of God (2 Tim. 3:5), but the Son of God is the image of God (Heb. 1:3). It is from men who have been formed that God picks men who will inherit His image. The formation of image in a man is a high task in the spirit.
There are different dimensions of formation — a man who is an image is a high priest, a man who has a formation is a priest, but a man who is fully formed is Christ. Forms can take place in a man, but this is not equivalent to having an image. Before God can make a man into His image, he must have been formed first. This is because it is only men who are formed that God can call into the high priestly learning.
When God walks in a man, His image is formed. This is because His walk translates into a work. Ways are paths where work is being done. God does not walk in the miry clay therefore, He has to take the soul from the miry clary, set its feet on the rock to stay, and thereby establish his goings (Psa. 40:2). God expects us to imitate Him as He walks in light. This light is not physical but an ambience of understanding. When a man’s eyes can see after he has heard the word, the penetration of light into the eyes initiates him into that light.
Hearing is the initial call into the everlasting light; it is a call into fellowship. God would first speak to a man by calling him and when the man has heard, he will begin to act and behave according to what he has heard. Then, he would get to a point where God would expect him to be able to read (interpret) Him, for this is another way He speaks. When God works in us, He expects us to develop in image formation because image formation is the real work. Therefore, it is important that we do not leave the place of walking.
Fellowship is a school of glory. A school is a place for learning what one wants to become. Thus, when God calls us into fellowship with Him, it is a great privilege. It is a great privilege to be called to see God.
"Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God." (Matt. 5:8). When we attain a pure heart, we will be taught charity. Charity is stronger than a pure heart; it is the greatest of all the law. When a man has learnt charity, he knows the love of the brethren. Charity is an impartation of doctrine by the Holy Ghost to bring one to a place where he is acceptable to God by the Lord Jesus Christ.
Jesus begins to baptise the soul into the spirit when it begins to learn Christ. His intention is to thoroughly purge the floor and gather the wheat into His garner (Matt. 3:12). The highest garner of Jesus is the sanctuary; after which is the garner of God — the Holiest of All. It takes some time for chaff (the fleshy garment that the soul wears) to be burnt off the soul. The only way this garment can be taken off is by the training of the Spirit. Through this training, the soul is beaten until flesh is separated from it.
God will not call just any man into the fellowship of the Father and the Son. Men who are without discernment cannot come into fellowship. It is only those who can discern that have full age. Those who can come into fellowship are men of judgement. It is not everyone who has come to full age. This is why ministers have to labour to bring the younger ones up.
Those who have judgement have exercised their senses unto discernment. Because of this, they can go to the next season, which is the season of being able to discern good and evil. In this season, they will meet the High priest of good things to come. It is also in this season that they will learn to hate iniquity, refuse evil and choose good things.
‘Good’ starts with God. When Jesus said that no one is good but God (Luke. 18:19), it meant that it is impossible to be a man and be good. A man can be nice but not good. A man has become good when he cannot be tempted. Good things are things that heal one from lusts or from being tempted.
A man cannot enter into fellowship without having judgement and discernment. This is because God is made up of judgement and His substances oscillate from discernment. It is only discernment that can pick God’s things. His name ‘Elohim’ means ‘Judge of All’. Therefore, anyone who does not have judgement cannot know Him.
All the things of God are to be discerned otherwise, they would not be seen. Those who deal with God’s things are discerning beings; they are eyes. Therefore, we need the eyes that only God can give to discern Him. Fellowshiping with God is participation in judgement. A man cannot know or have everlasting life if he does not have the instrument of discernment. Without discernment, a man will reject everlasting life.
We do not have fellowship with the Father by mere confession. It is shown by our walk, for what a man does can tell whether he is in fellowship. If a man says that he is in fellowship but lives a life that is contrary, he is a liar and he does not do the truth (1 John 1:6). To do the truth is to do life (everlasting life). The grace of our Lord Jesus, the love of God and the communion of the Spirit are things that we would come under when we are in fellowship. This grace of our Lord Jesus is the grace of the Son of God for fellowship, and must be with a person for manifestation to take place within him.
The purpose of fellowship is to deal with a being (Satan) who once shared fellowship. It is also to introduce man to the beginning — a superior beginning that the stakeholders of this present world once had. Sin is an element of the present. Hence, the answer to sin is the world to come. The person who designed sin did so after the expanse of his wisdom. Lucifer was full of wisdom and perfect in beauty (Ezek. 28:12). This beauty refers to salvation. Lucifer understood how to be saved, with respect to the salvation that was after the order of the angels. This is why he is a terrible tempter and he fights anyone from attaining salvation. This is also why he is called the adversary (1 Pet. 5:8), but God raised a horn of salvation for us (Jesus) from the house of David (Luke. 1:89).
Until a soul can serve God all the days of his life, he has not come to salvation. God wants to deliver us from the bondage of fear, which is the deliverance from a kind of life. Fear is the respect and regard for a (kind of) life. Anytime you fear something, no matter how little, God sees it. However, He allows those fears to come near us so that we can learn and master that there is nothing in this present world. Then, we can have our hope rested in God. The presence of fear in the heart is a sign that one is susceptible to temptation.
Darkness is a wrong that is higher than a man; it is a wrong that man cannot comprehend. It is only in fellowship that a man can see the sphere of darkness that is over him. God is light while Satan is darkness, for he shields himself with darkness. Darkness is what speaks against the things that God is. Thus, fellowship is a call to feast on things that enable us to see what Satan really stands for and where he originated from.
Satan separated creation, especially earth, from the realm of the beginning; this is sin. As such, man has degraded to the estate of flesh and is not even aware of what took place in the beginning. Satan quickly stopped Adam in the garden of Eden because he was afraid of him. He did this so that it would be difficult for God to resurrect things of the beginning.
God’s project for man is to take man from flesh to Christ. Therefore, Satan wearies believers in their journey. At times, he makes you feel berserk and empty, there is nothing good happening to you. But this is all a lie because he just wants you to be weak and tired. He is actually afraid of the beginning.
Every time brethren are fellowshipping, they ascend to the hill of the Lord. Then, God raises their thoughts and judgements and makes elohims out of them. Satan wants to limit men because he knows that if they keep pressing toward God, there is a destruction coming on what he has formed in them. To judge Satan is to scatter the web of his thoughts in men. Then, he will be judged. You can stop him from doing things when you see the Father walking. God wants to make everlasting life common, therefore, He is looking for a massive number of men to overwhelm darkness.
Fellowship is the stage of the appearance of Jesus. Its essence is to seize the adversary but this will only happen by destroying his image in men, which is sin. Sin is a kind of a man with wisdom and ability. It is a written code in Satan which he does not want any man to see or want God to judge. The light that can detect it is the light of the communion of the Holy Ghost.
God is light and is in the light (1 John 1:7). Entering into the same light where God dwells is fellowship. We enter into this light by the love and grace upon us, which God commended and the things inside the Holy Ghost. It is the Holy Ghost that interprets this light and generates the word for everlasting life. When God finds people who are ready for fellowship, He will create the light.
It is understanding that makes a man enter into the light. After you have heard and can see, you can then begin to enter. Fellowship is the kingdom of God. It is the world of joy that is in the Holy Ghost. The Holy Ghost pours this kingdom out for the activities of joy to take place.
“Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.” (Psa. 16:11). The word “pleasure” means paradise. The right-hand side is the realm of majesty. This realm is higher than joy and it is the Holy Ghost that will interpret the heart of God for this kind of communion. The Holy Ghost is the womb of joy. He will not bring that womb to a man until God has loved him enough to take him to that point. When He shines the light of communion on a man, he will have understanding and the activity for fellowship will begin. When fellowship begins, Satan will be exposed.
“But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.” (1 John 1:7). When we begin to use the space of light the way God uses it and He begins to teach us how to walk, we can say we have fellowship. then, you can see Him and He can reach you; you will know Him and He also knows you. This is why anyone who hates his brother has not seen God because that is not God’s work (1 John 4:20).
Before the blood can cleanse you and take your sin away, you need to acknowledge that you have a problem called sin. God does not fellowship with you when you do not have sin because the purpose of fellowship is to remove what you have. However, God cannot remove sin from you until you allow Him. The purpose of fellowship is not to input your sin on you but to remove it. God does this by showing you His standards and raising you above sin. Then, you can see how useless sin is and let it go.
When sin is being removed inside a man, such a man will lose Satan’s life – he will begin to let go of things like values and life issues that Satan has used to bind men in the earth. This is how we will become fearless. When we see and do the standards, statutes, and judgements of God, we will be able to dwell in the land of promise (Eze. 36:27-28).
No man should run from the fellowship of the Godhead; we should go into it. As a believer continues to go into it, he will have enough sense in the spirit to take down the adversary. Fellowship is the comprehension of what life is. It is a call to come and participate in the way the Father lives. This happens when the Father raises you. When this is happening, iniquity will drop from you because you would be given judgement and light.
Fellowship is not prayer. A man can be in fellowship even as he goes about his daily activities. Fellowship is God’s life and Jesus lived in it when He was on earth. Therefore, the Father could not run from Jesus because Jesus knows Him and can see Him (John 11:42). God does not listen to our words when you get to His realm; He checks what is in our hearts. When you pray according to His will, He hears you.
Blessings!
