Programme: Writing the Vision (November Edition)

There are things peculiar with every move of God; there are things peculiar with the move of the word of righteousness. Knowledge can be translated into a way and then a life. The burden of the Lord for us as a company is a burden of how to translate what we have been hearing into life -- to profit with what we are hearing and gain entrance into life. It is time to pay attention to the things that are being spoken to us and search ourselves to know if we are making progress with what we are hearing or just having knowledge. We can have knowledge and may never arrive at the truth. Some are ever learning but never coming to the knowledge of the truth (2 Tim 3:7).
Young people can have a lot of revelation but may not have the ways of God. On the other hand, an older minister of the gospel may not have many revelations but he or she may have ways. The strength of a man is little when he has many revelations but without ways. Such a person can be swept away by Satan. Satan can use ambition, ministry, anointing, and even revelation to stop a man from acquiring the way that the revelation ought to make him achieve. Having anointing is not the same as having the ways of God.
There is an urgency in the spirit for us to obey the things we are hearing. The Lord will be creating situations that will convert the knowledge we have acquired into ways. We have not profited from knowledge when we do not yet have it as a way in our hearts. What makes us own knowledge is having the ways of that knowledge.
“God be merciful unto us, and bless us; And cause his face to shine upon us; Selah.” (Psalm 67:1). The blessing we are looking for here is the blessing of the face. The face gives knowledge. God is bringing the knowledge of glory which is in the face of Jesus (2 Cor. 4:6). Jesus has many faces: there is a face that has or contains the knowledge of the glory of God. David was crying for the face that has the knowledge of the glory of God. We need a lot of mercy to come to the knowledge of glory. We ought to value these things we are hearing because it is by the mercy of God. Mercy qualifies a man to be blessed with the face of glory. Moses prayed for mercy to see God’s face; he did not count on the pedigree of his walk with God (Exo. 33:18).
God will not make a covenant with us if we still have valleys, hills, crookedness, and twistedness in our hearts (Isa. 40:3-5). These impediments must be removed after which God will come and make a covenant with us. God only made a covenant with Abraham after He had led him. God took Abraham on a spiritual journey. There was a way within him that was going to perish, but the Lord took him and led him in His ways. God leads us in order to make a covenant with us.
There is a spiritual force of gravity that pins every soul to the ground. Unknown to us, every soul is dusty and in a miry clay until God begins to bring His leading (Psa. 119:25).
One thing we find in the scriptures is that God is always leading. The leading of the Spirit is the teaching of God’s ways. Idols will not go until we are led by the Spirit. We can have knowledge and still have wrong habits; these habits will not go unless we are led.
“He found him in a desert land, And in the waste howling wilderness; He led him about, he instructed him, He kept him as the apple of his eye.” (Deut. 32:10). When God is leading a man, He is jealous about him. This is because God does not easily find men that would allow Him to lead them. You cannot be a friend of God when you still have your ways intact (Isa. 55:8). “Can two walk together, except they be agreed?” (Amos 3:3). Abraham became God’s friend because He had taught him ways (Gen. 18:17).
God wants His ways to be made known upon the earth. God’s ways will not be known upon the earth just by learning the Bible, but through men that have embodied His ways; just like Cain embodied the ways of Satan and it became His ways. God will cause us to inherit His name as we are led in His paths or taught His ways (Psa. 23:3).
“Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts: [24] And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.” (Psa. 139:23-24). We should be careful not to hate the ways of God. We can erroneously think we have already known the ways of God. It will take a lot of knowledge to learn the ways of God. God can be leading you to inherit the ways of God and you can ignorantly fight His dealings over your life. God will not deal with the issues of our hearts except we surrender. Sometimes, God can lead us subjectively, but He will not deal with issues of our hearts unless we cooperate with Him. There can be wicked ways in us, and we will not know it.
We may want to judge someone’s action, but God sees beyond that; He sees the twistedness that the enemy has worked in our souls. We should pray that the Lord will search us; it is a prayer of consecration. One may not accept that he has wickedness and that in itself is a work of wickedness in souls. What makes us wicked are wicked ways; we should surrender and agree to forsake them. There is a world of glory, and the key to entering this world is learning the ways of God.
Blessings!
