“And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.” (Rev. 22:12). God’s reward is the salvation that is with Him. This reward cannot come to a man without God coming to him. Both work and reward are with God. However, work precedes reward (Isa. 62:11). The ministration of salvation has to do with the coming of God (Rev. 22:7). Therefore, no one can have salvation without the coming of God.
When God is coming with reward alone, He will come quickly (with speed) because His work has been offloaded into a soul. Both reward and work need to come to a man; but they cannot come without many revelations being done in the soul of a man.
A person can have many revelations without the personality of the Godhead being involved. Many believers in the Church today are more concerned with God’s coming in the form of visions and other manifestations of the spirit but are oblivious of how He truly comes in the spirit. When God comes, He comes with certain provisions in the spirit for His flock. Revelation is a provision of God for the Church; it is what the world cannot partake of. As such, the Church is exclusively blessed in the arena of sight. There are a whole lot of provisions in the comings of God to His flock. God's coming brings understanding and sight to His flock.
The only way a soul can be healed from darkness is when it is exposed to revelations. God has designed that men and angels should live by revelation. Men who are oblivious or shut out of revelation are being cultured by fallen angels. God can grant the carnal eyes access to see the unseen, but this does not mean that such a man has understanding in the realm of the spirit. It means revelation must come to a man so that he can have understanding.
It is possible for a man to be so raised in the spirit beyond the understanding of angels. In the book of Revelation, an angel called Apostle John a fellow servant because he had been so raised and was doing the same works as the angel who appeared to him (Rev. 22:9). We can do some of the works that angels keep by our obedience in the spirit. There are many other things that believers can do on earth but are not counted as works in heaven.
The season of reward is the season of approval of the works that a man has accomplished in his soul (Rev. 22:11). Work and reward are not necessarily going to be given to a man at the end of days; God can reward a man before then. However, a work must have been done in the soul of a man who will be rewarded on earth. The end of 'all things' has come to any man who
finds and finishes both work and reward. Work and reward are levels of salvation. When works have been done in the soul of a man, he will be saved or sealed. Work is the prerequisite for responding to the quick coming of God. There is no way you will be rewarded with what is with Him if you do not have the capacity that works grant.
Eternal power refers to what goes before God; it precedes the coming of God. They are the works or powers of God that gets a man to the reward (Rom. 1:20). However, there is a power of God unto salvation or unto God’s works and reward (Rom. 1:16). This power is known as Christ. This is what will cause a man to approach God's power or works. God’s works constitute the eternal power of God unto His reward. This eternal power is more than the idea of power that most men have; it is God’s person in a lower dimension (as Father) that leads to the Godhead.
Anytime God is coming to save a man, He first reveals His arms to him, which are His works (Deut. 33:27). The God of works is the Father. The Father has the work that He is doing in Himself. He is doing this work for the Son to see it and then keep it (John 14:17). When a man comes to everlasting life, he will begin to see the Father. However, a man must have first seen Christ before he can see the Father. When a man comes to the zone of Christ, he will see He who lives so that he can also live (John 14:19). When a man comes to the living God, he will also become living. This portion of God is works (Ps. 142:5).
The works of some souls spring from lusts. There are men who have thought out their lives to the extent they would want it to go. In doing this, these men are unaware that they are hindering God’s leading thereby. Many may never come into being quickened or come into the knowledge of God because of these lusts. God quickens the dead by giving them His everlasting thoughts (Romans 4:17). Many lusts in men are ancient and have evolved through generations. Therefore, God needs to train and raise men against them by His works via everlasting thoughts.
The Father will not come until some men who can see Him are raised. The work of God is the life in the Father, and it is everlasting. This work is the life that we must do or live by. God gave the Son everlasting life and the Son is doing it. Everlasting life is an eternal power. The Son is an obedient servant of the Father; He is doing what the Father has in Himself. God will not just show us His eternal power; He expects us to do it.
Whosoever is living by eternal power is carrying out works that God is well pleased with. This is because these works will remain and not pass away. Men who do these works will also remain. The works of God can only be done by God. However, He is giving us the opportunity to do them also. We can only do these works in ourselves through our Lord Jesus; and we do them by keeping the sayings of the prophecy of the book (Rev. 1:3). This book is the work of God that is before Him. We cannot keep the book ordinarily; we have to walk in it to keep it.
“Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand.” (Rev. 1:3). To keep the sayings of the book, we ought to see and hear. This is the type of work a man should do. Workers of this kind are divine prophets who have the Divine nature. They are called prophets by the works they do. These sort of prophets are not just after the operation of the spirit upon; they have understanding. Works are obediences.
The fruit a prophet should bear is life. This is because a prophet is known by his life. A true prophet bears the incorruptible life. The true prophetic fruit is everlasting life. A false prophet is one who cannot break through (out of) the earth. It is dangerous to keep corruption. The corruptible seed is the son of Satan. This is because Satan is the father of lies (John 8:44). The purpose of everlasting seed and the corruptible seed is because of reward.
God is a Shepherd. It is by a shepherdic law that He lays His life down. God has such magnanimity. It would only take the nature of God (the shepherdic nature) to house the eternal powers. It takes His nature to trap eternities. It is out of the shepherdic nature that the thought of having a sheepfold came.
Only a sheep that is harmless will inherit God. Elohim is a very high Sheep of eternity. He leads others because He is a leading Sheep. A leading sheep is one who has come into the development of laying down his life.
The promise itself is for us to evolve into shepherds. The shepherd is an entity. We have both a good and a great Shepherd. A good Shepherd has finished the course of everlasting life; but a great Shepherd is higher because He has been raised into Eternal Life. What makes a shepherd is his ability to give. The good Shepherd laid down His life (John 10:11). This means for you to lay down your life, you must have become good.
Everlasting life will bind up a man to become a shepherd. This is because it is what teaches us to lay down our lives for the sheep. It is in the practice of 'laying down' that one becomes good. Eternal Life will not come if we have not laid down our lives for the sheep. The good shepherd gives his life. When we give our lives, the Father raises us up.
No one can become a quickening spirit if he has not laid down his life. This is the doorway to being made a spirit. Spirits lead because they can lay down their lives. To be a full spirit, you must have the ability to lay down your life.
