Programme: Tuesday Prayer Meeting (PM)
Date: Tuesday January 25th, 2022
Minister: Pastor Tope Falaye
The voice of the Lord (Christ) had been communicated to Israelites, and as a result, some things that abide were put in them; natures that could not be shaken had been put within them (Heb. 12:25-27). There was a voice that was to come to them and this voice communicates a Kingdom/domain that cannot be moved. This same voice is coming to us and it brings grace. One of the characteristics of this voice is the communication of the things of that Kingdom.
Grace comes from that voice. One of the major signs of the ministration of grace is the workings of reverence and godly fear for service (Heb. 12:28), which is a higher form of obedience to God. The voice of the Lord at any level is meant to communicate the fear of God in the soul of a man. Without fear, we cannot serve God well (Heb. 12:28). No service can be done in fear without the communication of the doctrine of Christ and God. When doctrine is well communicated, the fear of God is instilled in a soul.
The things of the Kingdom that cannot be removed are things that are not made. We cannot have the true fear of God in the season of everlasting life without the knowledge of the things that are not made. The fears of a natural man are fears of things made, not the fear of God. Things made are strong and Satan uses them to communicate fear. Fear exists in different shades and expressions, and it is dealt with by eating – hearing and obeying the doctrine of Christ and God.
Christ is a holy house. In learning the holy house, the conversation of the holy house is imported into a man's natural house. A man who wants to live in Christ's house (the Holy Place), which is the first tabernacle must be willing to also share his own natural house with his brethren (Matt. 25:33-40). When a man successfully obeys this, the fear born out of the world is dealt with in a measure.
“The secret of the Lord is with them that fear him…” (Ps. 25:14). The Lord would instruct and show us His secrets, then we will show our fear for Him by how we respond to Him per time. Our response is our service – it is a display of reverence flowing out of doctrine. Our response to God's word is power; they are not just actions or things done out of zeal – they are a commanded lifestyle as a result of a voice.
Heavens can be shaken (Heb. 12:27) and there are heavenly things in our soul. Every soul is naturally a carrier of the present and Christ comes to deal with this in a measure. However, the voice of the living Son deals with the heavens that are inheritances in us. This can only come to us by the mercy of God. We are holding heavens within us. We are shareholders of negative/inverted heavens with evil spirits. These heavens are seated within us, but they do not seem evil to us, rather, they are our advantage over others. They are our edge – things that give us leverage over others.
We need to trust God to bury our abilities, even those we have gained on the course of our spiritual journey – advantages we have gained by anointing and revelation knowledge. Satan tempted Jesus to use His abilities to sin. If Jesus had turned stone to bread, He would have used God's power to sin. Satan would then have painted Him as a powerful person in the sight of men, but mankind will have been doomed.
“Who in the days of his flesh, when he had offered up prayers and supplications with strong crying and tears unto him that was able to save him from death, and was heard in that he feared…” (Heb. 5:7). Jesus who was without sin in His spirit, soul and body cried unto the Father who was able to save Him from death. We are yet to cry like this. The reason we do not yet see a need to cry is because we do not yet know death.
Satan can use heavens (spiritual things) to bring us down. He tried to make Jesus use the everlasting life He had to fall. He was tempting Jesus to use the things of God irreverently and if Jesus had done those things, He would have achieved a seemingly obvious result, but He would not have served God. As such, He will have erred in the realm of the spirit. Anytime we obey the adversary, we do not live by God's voice and we lose life as a result.
“And this word, Yet once more, signifieth the removing of those things that are shaken.” (Heb. 12:27). There are darknesses that are shaking in us because of the everlasting things that are coming to us. Everlasting things have the capacity to remove wrong heavens in us. We have wrong perceptions/judgements of what everlasting life is and as the doctrine (voice) of everlasting life comes to us, it displaces our wrong conclusions of what everlasting life is.
The voice that is coming in this season is the voice of grace. As such, the greatest help we can offer ourselves this season is to give attention to teaching, because inside it is grace being communicated. Grace is a by-product of knowledge and it is embedded in the word of God. When doctrine is stored in a man, the energy of grace would arise.
The giving of the everlasting gospel (Rev. 14:6) is the giving of grace, but it does not appear as grace when we hear it. It seems like ordinary words being spoken, but when these words are received in their order and alignments, grace awakens.
It takes grace to have reverence for God. Grace imparts the fear of God in a man. We have had fear for natural and spiritual authority, but we need to heighten our fear for them. We have loved the brethren before, but we need to heighten our love for the brethren. We have found grace to stay aligned under God under our spiritual parents, but we need to find higher strength to stay under alignment in a greater proportion because there are things that can still move us out of our previous alignment.
“Thou art fairer than the children of men: grace is poured into thy lips: therefore God hath blessed thee for ever.” (Ps. 45:2). The hearing of the word of everlasting life is the hearing of grace. For us to be able to serve God acceptably (Heb. 12:28), we need grace and to receive grace, we need to hear the doctrine of everlasting life.
Grace has its own alignment. If doctrine is not held in its proper alignment, its true provisions will not be found, that is, grace will not be accessed. A man who does not have the doctrine of Christ properly aligned within him will not find the grace of Christ in the Holy Place.
Alignment is highly needed for the power of every doctrine to be made available. As such, when teachings are going on, it is wise to trust God to give attention to the alignment because if the stones are not properly positioned, grace will not come. Some people find it difficult to obey a doctrine, even though they heard it. This is because they heard it but did not understand it.
Understanding comes when stones are properly laid. It comes when doctrine becomes a relative knowledge seated in a man the way it is seated in scriptures. It is at this point that things are properly aligned. When this happens, doctrine can spring forth its true power.
The reason why grace comes from doctrine is for obedience. The everlasting gospel is another call to obey. We are being called to obey the written code of life. Grace transforms this written code into instructions. Instructions to each person are dependent on the amount of doctrine inside such a soul. A soul with only foolish doctrines would receive foolish instructions. The everlasting gospel is coming to us so that instructions can come for us to obey from the heart (Rom. 6:17).
We are all disobedient by nature and we need to obey doctrine to break that nature. We can have the doctrine but may not have inherited it. This is because the doctrine must be obeyed for nature to be formed in us. Many have mental assent but lack the lifestyle and this can be termed as hypocrisy. This is a dangerous place to stay.
There is a greater call for obedience this season. The Lord is focusing more on nature alteration, for there are lots of wrong natures that the Lord wants to break. We have strong waters of negative everlasting nature in us and they must be broken. We have to trust the Lord to obey continually. Christ is life but everlasting life is a continuous life. In the realm of everlasting life, obedience must be continuous. It will not happen by our power nor might but by the energy of grace.
This energy of grace is to deal with a particular fear in us. The fear of God comes to displace another fear – the fear for our life. This fear endures all lifetime (Heb. 2:14-15). We live and abide through it and it affects our service to God. “And again, I will put my trust in him. And again, Behold I and the children which God hath given me.” (Heb. 2:10-13). The High Priest receives children, who He will raise unto Himself. Jesus partook of everlasting life to deal with death. To deal with this death is not to deal with the program of fear at the level of Christ, but at a much higher level than that.
We must come out of every fear by obedience. We must yield in obedience, so as to measure up to the stature God wants to raise us to. Choosing to disobey a fear is a display of reverence to God; it is an acceptable service. Choosing to obey and honour God by disobeying another distraction is a sign of reverence to God. The voice that is coming is a voice that shakes. May our kingdoms be shaken!
The light of the Most Holy Place expunges darkness. We must receive wisdom to hide; we must choose to love authority above ability. Abilities must be downplayed because it is not what matters in the realm of the spirit, rather, it is nature that matters. As we make use of this everlasting light, it would bring tranquility to our community. Negative everlasting natures will be dealt with, as we give ourselves to obeying the doctrine of everlasting life.
We must desire commandments that would shake wrong everlasting natures in us. The Lord will shake the dark deposits in us by the doctrine of everlasting life. The voice of the Son will visit our souls to remove things that ought to be removed.
