Speaker 5: Reverend (Mrs.) Helen Oyegoke
God wants to fellowship with man; this is why He wants to bring us into His fellowship. Satan also craves fellowship and he is working so hard at it. Many people have been fellowshipping with Satan for a long time without even knowing it. However, we are breaking free from his fellowship as we break into God's fellowship by the revelation of light and mercy. It is by mercy that we are breaking free from the place of death into the realms of life.
The High Priest was raised to deal with our sins. The mention of the word 'sin' can make the heart faint because one is not able to realize the possibility of being free from it. However, the light that is coming is showing us that it is possible to be free from sin – which is the work of the devil – and come into the fellowship of the Godhead. The High Priest has been raised to deliver us from our sins.
"Behold, the Lord's hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear: But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear." (Isa. 59:1-2). Sin puts a separation between us and God. Man was not meant to be separated from God; the devil caused it. After the fall, we journeyed far from the beginning without even knowing it. What man now calls ‘life’ is what a cherub (Lucifer) sold to us.
The demands of the revelation of Christ are aimed at dealing with certain measures of sin. When this dealing is going on, we sometimes cry as though God wants to kill us. Meanwhile, it is the enemy who brought us to that state. When God wants to restore us to the state of the beginning, there would be high demands. The High Priest is strong and able to do this work within us because He has gone through the same phases.
"And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth." (John 1:14). The work of dealing with our sins is a gracious work. It is not going to be by power or might, it would be by the Spirit. As we listen to the word, grace is being ministered. The High Priest carries gracious things, potent enough to deal with sins. Grace accompanies the knowledge He carries.
"Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord…" (2 Pet. 1:2). A high level of grace accompanying the message of the Son of God is also coming. Sins come in different layers; so, they cannot be overcome at once. We need revelations upon revelations, and knowledge upon knowledge to expunge sin in its entirety. The message of Christ addresses the first layer of sin. However, having the knowledge of Christ only is not sufficient, because a soul with that alone can still go back to sin.
"For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning." (2 Pet. 2:20). The knowledge of Christ is not the end of the matter. There is a higher knowledge that would make us permanently sealed; it would make us entities that can neither draw back nor turn. If a soul stays only with the message of Christ, such a soul can still be entangled. Christ removes a measure of sin from the soul through His knowledge.
The knowledge of God cannot be administered to a man at once. "Whom shall he teach knowledge? And whom shall he make to understand doctrine? Them that are weaned from the milk, and drawn from the breasts. For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little." (Isa. 28:9-10). The knowledge of Christ is administered after weaning a man from milk, but there are other dimensions of knowledge that must come to us after this knowledge. The knowledge of Christ shows us the way of righteousness. When Christ is set forth, the right way is being set forth for us to walk in. As we walk in this way, our sins would be remitted.
Knowledge delivers to us commandments. We would not have understood knowledge if there were no instructions to be obeyed (2 Pet. 2:21). The preaching of Christ delivers unto us holy commandments. The end of the revelation of Christ is the commandment of charity (1 Tim. 1:5). We must be diligent in obeying the commandments of the Lord.
Satan tries to hinder us from obeying commandments. This is because he knows they are our key to entering the inheritance, which would in turn liberate us from his hold. Therefore, we must give the more earnest heed to the things we are hearing, as they would constitute entrance for us if we are able to hold them and journey by them (Heb. 2:1).
We need a lot of grace and it is available. As revelation is being ministered, grace is also being ministered. Our lives depend on it and the future of our world depends on men and women who would lay hold on these revelations (commandments) and journey by them. Our High Priest gives us things (revelations) of Himself that would enable us to fulfil all commandments and thereby overcome Satan.
The substance of the beginning of God is superior to the beginning of Satan. The substances of the beginning of God are the things that raised the High Priest and by which He overcame Satan (Heb. 1:8). We are on a journey to where the High Priest is, so we must receive His substances; and He is willing to give them to us. These properties will make us enduring entities.
We need the High Priest to deliver us from tendencies of turning. He was raised for us and He is for us. He is merciful and faithful. He is never tired, and neither does He fail. Our shortcomings do not weary Him. Many times, we faint when it comes to loving one another because of our wrong frame. We were framed with substances that fail, so we are unfaithful. When God wants to change us, He begins to frame us with substances of forbearance and endurance, sometimes using our brethren.
Some years ago, God began to talk about the morning light, which is the same as "the beginning". The Lord was telling me to handle a particular matter with the "morning light". He said peace, humility, and meekness constitute the morning light. There are levels of meekness. There is a higher level of meekness that will make one meeker than he was at the level of Christ.
Reverend Kayode was telling us the other day that this present body is a product of an inverted heaven; no wonder the body always feels tired and weak. God wants to raise our bodies, so He brought the original heaven to upgrade our bodies. The original heaven is the morning light; it contains morning thoughts.
One of the results of the revelation of the “morning light” is “keeping a clean slate”. After we receive such instructions, the devil would send evil spirits to buffet us and enforce that the slate is unclean because he is afraid of entrance and he hates us. But in such situations, God would bring high judgements to combat such spirits. If a person takes God’s thoughts, such will break into the light of God that is filled with joy. That is why we need to be grateful that we have a High Priest. He is at work for us; He is available for us. He is able to save us to the uttermost.
We should not joke with thoughts; thoughts are powerful. Wrong thoughts can bring a wrong atmosphere over one. At times the thoughts of Satan will come like he is sympathizing with us, but it is a lie; rather, he wants to kill. We are engaged in a warfare of thoughts. God wants to teach us how to master our thoughts. When we have received God’s judgements, we will be able to discern what thoughts we ought to take. If a person does not have the judgments of the beginning from the High Priest, Satan will cause such a one to fall.
The devil is deceptive and often camouflages as a friend. It takes having thoughts of the beginning to be wiser than the enemy (Ps. 119:98). Our enemy is a wise person though he turned. We need a higher wisdom–the wisdom of the Being that framed him to outwit him. This is the wisdom the High Priest wants to give us. The wisdom of God is pure, always seeking peace (Jam. 3:17). Whereas, the wisdom of the devil inspires strife.
When an obvious wrong has been done to us, what we need at that moment is judgment to maintain peace. At times, to maintain peace, we have to die to our rights. What will make for a man to come into the presence of God is beyond Christ. The judgments of the Son of God are higher and holier than the judgments of Christ. When we align and agree with those judgments, we cut covenant and our sins are forgiven. Oftentimes we think we are right because we lack judgment; it takes judgement to accurately discern iniquity. Iniquity sometimes hides under some kind of false ‘righteousness’.
God wants to raise us. As judgment comes, it will show in our conversation. It will show when brethren are flocking together seamlessly, irrespective of their levels in the physical. We should not rate ourselves based on our natural accomplishments but on what we are fellowshipping with. Fellows of Jesus Christ are those who have learnt the conversations of the beginning. These fellows are not chosen from among poor or rich people; rather, it is for as many who are open to it. “For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble are called:” (1 Cor. 1:26). Our calling is not according to earthly things.
This realm is a realm of grace. The learning of Christ gave us a measure of grace. The revelation of the Son of God comes with a higher level of grace–great grace. The High Priest is armed with substances of great grace. There are instructions we have received which we find difficult to carry out; but as we keep hearing, we will receive gracious words that would enable us to do them. The revelation of the things of the beginning gives grace that would make us do the unthinkable, and the glory will be God’s.
The place of fellowship is the place of cleansing of sins. There are some sins that seem difficult to overcome; sometimes, it seems like they have become one with us. But these sins can be taken away. The High Priest has the solution—His judgment. When He gives us these judgements, we just need to make a covenant with them and obey them. Everything we need is in the hands of the High Priest, and He is willing to give them because He is merciful (Heb. 2:17).
Blessings!
