All what our mummies have said today are ingredients of holiness and godliness. Without spiritual substances, understanding and light, you cannot be made holy. We were made holy in our spirit when we became born again. The Bible then admonishes us to therefore put on the nature of the spirit - the new man (Eph. 4:24). We cannot put on the new man without teachings.
Christ is the new man. He has to be exposed and revealed to us, so that we can put Him on. We put on the new man when we live after the revelation of His life. When we begin to learn of Christ, we will begin to learn who the new man is. The destiny of Christ is God. Christ said He was going to His Father (John 16:16). He was not referring to a physical journey, but acquiring the nature of the Father in order to close the gap between man and God.
God created man for the purpose of acquiring dominion. We acquire dominion by coming into the life of God. What is responsible for dominion is life, therefore, acquiring life is acquiring dominion. When God created Adam, He set him over the works of His hands (Psa. 8:4-6). This also applied to Eve because she and Adam were one. God has not left that dream of man coming into dominion, even after the fall.
“But is now made manifest by the appearing of our Saviour Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel…” (2 Timothy 1:10). Jesus abolished death which came in by one man’s disobedience (Rom. 5:19), and then brought life and immortality to light (manifestation) by the gospel. The reason for the gospel is to make life known and make men understand the path to life. This life is the life that is responsible for dominion.
“Let that therefore abide in you, which ye have heard from the beginning. If that which ye have heard from the beginning shall remain in you, ye also shall continue in the Son, and in the Father.” (1 John 2:24). This continuity comes by hearing what will make us abide in the Father and the Son. The dividend of continuing is Eternal Life. God promised Eternal Life to man (1 John 2:25). Eternal Life is the reigning life. Our God therefore reigns because He has Eternal Life. Eternal Life is the life of dominion, the kingdom life, the very essence of God. What makes God distinct from creation is Eternal Life. Eternal Life is the life of the Creator and it is being offered to man to partake of.
To be heavenly is to partake of the life of the heavenly. The primary reason you are born again as a woman is not because of marriage, but so that you can see the kingdom or see life (John 3:3). God ordained women for dominion, life and authority. God is in the business of raising women; He wants them to see themselves beyond the definition of culture and tradition. You are a being of dominion! Our original predestination is to get God and not just to get husbands. Our journey in the spirit is far; therefore, we have to quit being mere men. The fact that a woman has not found a man to marry at an old age does not mean that her life should shut down.
“And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.” (1 John 5:20). God predestined us to conform to the image of the Son who is the true God and Eternal life. This is what God will use to judge us when we get to heaven. We make a date with destiny by acquiring life.
“These words spake Jesus, and lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, Father, the hour is come; glorify thy Son, that thy Son also may glorify thee: [2] As thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him.” (John 17:1-2). It is not everyone that Jesus can give Eternal Life to. The people God gives to Jesus are those who have been sanctified and have come to the sanctuary in the Holy Place; they have finished the course of Christ and have become children.
All we have been hearing is to make us godly so that God can give us to Jesus. A carnal man cannot comprehend the things of God (1 Cor 2:14). This is why we need to give ourselves to the things we are hearing; it is a preparation. The preparation to partake of Eternal Life is for us to be holy; God wants to make us holy.
God is calling us to the place of authority in the spirit, so as to restore to us what was lost. This is the agenda of God for women. God wants us to enter into rest. We should labour to enter into this rest by hearing doctrine and doing commandments. God will use our situations to train us for dominion.
One who is envious or seeks her own cannot have dominion given to her because the law of Eternal Life is that we lay down our life for one another. A person who is easily angered cannot be given dominion because it can be ruined as a result of the slightest provocation or hurt by another person. Therefore, we have to be trained. We should quit being carnal and being easily distracted as well. Things can distract us, but the Bible says we should seek the main thing and other things shall be added unto us (Matt. 6:33).
Our major occupation, whether a person is single, married, rich or poor, is to become what God ordained us for, which is to come into His life – the promise. This is a clarion call to get the life of God which can only be gotten when we are led. The leadings we are subjected to are aimed at leading us to a place where we are formed to rely on God, to lead us in the way of life (Ps. 16:11). Where we are going is the presence of God. "And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever." (Revelation 22:5).
Light means understanding. God will teach them a kind of life that they will be obeying. The light that God will give them is the light or life of Himself.
Some people will grow and live by the use of the light of the Lord God, which is the light of Eternal Life. In using that light of Eternal Life to live, you bring it to your relationship or marriage. Then, you use the light of charity to live which can believe all things, hope all things, etc (1 Cor. 13:7). When you use the light of charity, you would be able to make excuses for wrong done to you. .
The law of charity is higher than many laws that people use in their marriages. God wants us to grow and leave the realm of carnality because of the promise – Eternal Life.
We are taught Christ so that we can acquire the life that is in Him. Life is acquired in measures and it is by knowledge (John 17:3). When becoming spiritual, we know when we leak life; we know when an action took life from us. According to 1 John 5:5, we see that we lose life by our actions and reactions. What is at stake is Eternal Life and the law of this Life is love.
