Text: 2 Peter 3:15
There is a manner by which the Lord deals with every minister and He deals with the five-fold ministries differently. The dealings of God on each part of the fivefold ministry (Pastor, Teacher, Prophet, Evangelist and Apostle) differ. This implies that the Lord takes them through paths, instructs and deals with them in various manners for the sake of the office that they are to bear. The dealing that the Lord brings is not separate from the understanding He gives them. Afterwards, the Lord brings a grace to authorize them to be able to speak forth the work which the Lord has wrought in them.
The evolving of ministry gifts in our ministers is evident in the word they preach. Every ministry grace shows first in the word they preach. We have seen the grace upon God’s Servant, Rev. Kayode Oyegoke morphs over time. There is a manner of the ministry grace on Daddy and the strength shows when he ministers the word. One major emphasis of this season is the issue of inheritance and reward.
The Lord appeared to Kenneth Hagin and told him about 4 classes of apostles; the first class apostle which is the Lamb and there cannot be another first class apostle. The second class apostles are the twelve apostles of the Lamb; the third class apostles are the foundational apostles. The fourth class apostles (who build upon the foundations that had been laid) are apostles of doctrine - they must have strength to build upon the foundation that has been laid.
The things which are being said at these times are the things Jesus wants to say, and He must not be stopped from saying them. Instead, we need to be exercised in them. Satan knows these ordinances that are being spoken, because he fell from heaven and he will want us to think they are esoteric. An election for another season is hanging over us, but it is dependent on our actions.
The mind of Christ is different from the mind of God. We need the mind of Christ to get to the mind of God. The things that are being spoken of at these times are things of the mind of God. The wisdom of God in Christ is different from the wisdom of God in Himself. God wants to stretch us, but evil spirits also want to prevent us.
The wisdom visiting us recently pertains to things which are hard to be understood (2 Pet. 3:15, Heb 5:11). There are things within us that hinder understanding: impatience with the teaching of the Word, inability to tarry with the minister and an attitude of despise to the length of time used in communicating the mind of God.
Gratefully, God has blessed His servant with the strength to wait patiently on every long stretch of ministration at these times for the purpose of breaking through the mind of the Lord for the season. The Lord is the One speaking from heaven, and He wants a people who would fight to win the warfare of staying in the place of hearing.
Shortly, millions of men would gather to hear these same things. The Lord is giving us the privilege to be the first partakers before it reaches others. We should be careful to keep our lots by staying in the place of hearing.
True New Testament ministry is doctrine based; specifically the doctrine of Christ, the Father and God. We should not refuse the recent manner of long hours of ministrations that has been coming to us. We should discern this season more prudently, because it is obvious that the Lord really wants to talk to us and desires that we break through barriers of weariness and infirmities of our flesh to hear what He is saying.
The difference between those in the wilderness, who entered rest and those who did not, was their response to the voice (Heb 3:7-10). Even though we might not understand many of the things that are being said, we understand some of them in a measure. The Lord is mindful of everyone of us and has provided for us at our various levels amidst the things that are being said. We must guide our heart against offence with the Word.
