Topic: Holding the Word of the World to Come

The agenda of God is to save man. Therefore, the secret of scriptures is salvation. However, Satan has manipulated men such that they now possess enough willpower to twist scripture. They do this because they are unlearned and unstable (2 Pet. 3:16). Apostle Peter called them ‘unlearned’ because they had not come to the knowledge of the truth. When we have come to the knowledge of truth and learnt it, we would be established in it.
“As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood…” (2 Pet. 3:16). The things which are hard to be understood are the new heavens and new earth. However, Apostle Peter still admonished the Church to look for those things (2 Pet. 3:13). The material that makes up the new world is righteousness, unlike this present heavens and the earth (Heb. 1:8).
“For if the word spoken by angels was steadfast, and every transgression and disobedience received a just recompence of reward;” (Heb. 2:2). The word that the angels speak is a sceptre or authority of this present creation. Therefore, the key to their dominion is in their word. It is by this word that they bring things of this present creation under subjection. The angels are stakeholders in this present world. No angel brings (or ministers) a word that is higher than the world he occupies. Therefore, if an angel is sent to minister to us, he will bring things that is in the order of what he is holding in the spirit (Heb. 1:14). There are angels who handle the meat of the word and there are those who have access to the strong meat (Heb. 4:13-15).
The power of having a world under subjection is tied to the word of that world (Heb. 2:5/11:3). Therefore, we should not stop speaking the words of the world to come because this is our profession and confession (Heb. 3:1). The world to come cannot be put under the feet of anyone who is not presently speaking its word (1 Cor. 15:27). The fallen man is not speaking the word which the angels are speaking, i.e., that which holds this present creation (both heaven and earth). Rather, the fallen man is speaking the perverted word that holds this present world that is passing away (1 John 2:17). You speak what you know or have. The word that was spoken by angels was a world. However, God does not want to give man the world that angels spake. Rather, He wants to give the world to come to man.
"Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience." (Eph. 2:2). Satan is teaching man his transgressed world. He rearranged and twisted that world that belongs to the angels and began to speak it (Ezek. 28:17). This is what Jesus called lies. Satan has nothing to give; he is the father of lies (John 8:44).
Both the heavens and the earth are one world, and man is aligned under them. The owners of this present world (i.e., the angels) are in the heavens and they can control the earth. The angel who divided the Red Sea could do so because angels have authority on this earth. The beings in the heavens have more authority than those on earth. God gave them this power because of what they own; He attached the control of this present world into their hands.
Angels will not ordinarily intrude in human space, but they can come if we call them.Through disobedience, Adam invited Lucifer and he has been handling this present earth ever since. However, he will not be able to manipulate the new earth because he cannot comprehend it. The elements in that earth will not obey him because he doesn’t have the substances (or word) that would frame that world.
'Word' speaks of the controlling tool of a thing or a world. It is not usually handed over to a being physically, like men would prefer. Rather, there are (usually) processes of handing it over to a man. So, God is preparing us for the world to come because He wants to hand it over to us. Our Lord Jesus is willing to share the world to come with us.
When God created the angels, He blessed them with awareness or secrets. Understanding is the house of a secret thing and spirits are sensitive to it. This is why God is keeping understanding from spirits, especially evil spirits. Understanding is the key to handling a world. Whenever we have understanding, we have an entrance -- which is the operating tool to unlock a thing (Psa. 119:130).
Angels understand how to align in dominion; and they know what they should not do to break it. They were all aligned by the reason of the word they hold until transgression began and Satan began to turn what God had put in him (Eze. 28:16). By this transgression, he was no longer subject to God’s law; and this is what is called 'lawlessness'.
“Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high.” (Heb. 1:3). Jesus has been given the authority of the world to come. However, He can direct things in the present. As the first begotten, the world to come is already in subjection to Him. He is already a born champion of that world. He has been made so much better than the angels (Heb. 1:4). He is not of the world of the angels but of another world. He is a superior man of a superior world, in an inferior world, and with inferior beings.
The materials that God used to make the heavens were higher than that of the earth. The earth is the footstool while the heaven is the throne (Isa. 66:1-2). This means that the beings in heaven are thronic while those on the earth are stools. Everything on earth is responding to authorities above. Therefore, we must work hand in hand with the spiritual. The word that was used in making heaven and the earth was given to Cherubims. They were given the operating manual (i.e., the understanding) of this world and they are holding it at a high capacity.
When God is blessing and teaching you, He is not just teaching you doctrine but also installing and programming you for reigning both in this life and in the world to come (Romans 5:17). Therefore, missing meetings is tantamount to missing out on an opportunity for dominion to be installed in you. We should not miss the assembly of one another (Heb. 10:25). When we come to this kind of services, we come so that we can be blessed. In such meetings, we are being prepared for our world (i.e., the world to come). We therefore need a word for it. The world to come cannot be put in subjection under your feet without a word.
God wants us to hold all things together with Him. Therefore, it is necessary for us to hold fast our profession and not fall short of holding these things together with our Lord Jesus (Heb. 10:23). All the angels are holders of the first inheritance; they are inheritors of the first world. The main holders of a world are those who are the best breed of that world; they are the strongest. In the spirit, the measurement of how a person is better than another is in his make up. This is how authority is measured. The angels that speak the word (of this world) are not ordinary. They are the angels of salvation; yet, they desire to see into the salvation that God is giving men (1 Pet. 1:12).
“Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds.” (Heb. 1:2). Being like Jesus implies having His materiality and essence. These are the materials that heaven is giving to us. Therefore, we should allow them to fully take their place in our hearts. We would own all things when the word has been delivered to us. This is because the word is the medium by which one accesses all things. It is the mannerism, skill or method by which things of that future world comes to us. God attaches these things to a word in order to keep them in secret. Therefore, the word will communicate a particular intelligence that only God has the key to unlock.
Word is the layer upon which all things are arranged in wisdom. The word contains materials or things which God has written in a manner and encoded in high wisdom. This was why Paul said they are hard to be understood. Whosoever is lazy to learn or dull of hearing cannot understand this word (Heb. 5:11). This is because such a man easily gets tired of spiritual things, even though he is intelligent in the world of vanity. Before a man can speak this word of the world to come, he must have spoken or lived by the word of Christ. The essence of Christ is to build, cleanse, and train a man so that he can take the word of the world to come.
The arrangement around the preaching of the world to come has to be such that would not be appealing to the standards of men. This is so that God can try our souls to know if we are still earthly aligned. The book of Hebrews speaks of a particular word, which is the highest learning in which all authority (of the world to come) is contained. The world to come will not be put under the subjection of a man who does not have this word.
Our first duty towards these things is to use the inheritance as our life. We therefore need to give the more earnest heed to them (Heb. 2:1). We cannot rule the world to come without being saved to the uttermost (Heb. 7:25). We need to speak this word until God validates us to be true speakers. You need to keep confessing it until it becomes your life completely. Blessed are those who read, hear, and keep these words (Rev. 1:3).
