We have to raise up supplications for our company by reason of the things that the Lord has been saying. God is bringing down revelation. As such, we should be praying for the whole company. To whom much is given, much is expected. If we do not pray, we would not be able to live this life out. A conversation can be hanging if we do not pray. When doctrines are coming, it needs to be embodied. It is not faithfulness when we are not embodying this life. God expects these things we are hearing to be worked out in us.
“And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ…” (Eph. 3:9). We need prayers to make all men see. The burden of Paul was to make men see what is the fellowship of the mystery. This mystery is a fellowship.
“That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ.” (1 John 1:3). The reason why everlasting life is being expounded is so that we can come into fellowship. There is a fellowship we all must see and we have to have a buildup of understanding to see this fellowship.
There is a fellowship of faith that needs to become effectual (Phil. 1:6). We need this fellowship to come into the fellowship of everlasting life. We all need to see this fellowship and that is the essence of the labour of our ministers. The essence of all the meetings is so that we can see. If we do not see, then our participation in the mystery would not be effective.
What is a mystery should not be left as a mystery, but must become a common life that all of us would live. It has to be something that should be seen and embodied. We are not safe if it is just our parents that are embodying this life.
John was writing to others so that they would also come into fellowship with them (1 John 1:3). God needs a large number in this fellowship. Thus, we must not make excuses for ourselves. By the time fellowship is being embodied, there is a build up for rain. As long as we are under the atmosphere, the rain would fall on us.
“To the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God…” (Eph. 3:10). The Church has to show principalities and powers the manifold wisdom of God. It is not a show before them if it is something they know. Thus, the things we are being exposed to and hearing are things that many spirits do not know of; they are things that are hidden in God.
Some inhabitants of heaven do not know this emphasis we are hearing now. This is because the things that are coming to us are coming from God. The angels also attend our meetings to know and understand some things.
Spirits are entities of wisdom but there is the manifold wisdom of God that can only be made known by the Church. This manifold wisdom is according to God's eternal purpose – Eternal Life. It is in Eternal Life we begin to see manifold wisdom.
There is something God proposed in Christ our Lord, which is Eternal Life. Satan can use many things to discourage us and drag us down, but we must understand the path, for there are intricacies to this path. So we cannot judge the result of this word we are hearing by carnal evidences.
“Wherefore I desire that ye faint not at my tribulations for you, which is your glory.” (Eph. 3:13). Paul was telling the church in Ephesus not to faint at his tribulation because it was for their glory. We cannot embody any conversation without the tribulation of the conversation, for it is by tribulation we press into the conversation called life (Acts 14:22).
“And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience…” (Acts 5:3). Tribulation is glory. Tribulation is many things; it is not just about natural lack.
For the cause of God's eternal purpose, Paul prayed for the Church. If Paul prayed for the Church, then we have to pray for ourselves. God would grant us strength according to the everlasting gospel. The everlasting gospel has its strength and it is not the strength of man. Therefore, we must not depend on our human strength. There is the day of the foot soldiers and there is the day of the horse men, but if we faint in the days of adversity, it means our strength is small (Prov. 24:10).
Adversity is part of what the fellowship holds. If we fail in the days of adversity concerning the things we are hearing, then our strength is small. The Lord would grant us strength according to what we are hearing. There is the riches of Christ and there is the riches of everlasting life. Strength comes from what we are hearing but the strength actually comes from Him, for He is the One that would convert the word into life. We need life to run the race.
We are looking for the Father to dwell in our hearts (Eph. 3:17). The Father wants to make His dwelling place in us, but there are processes to this. Christ may dwell but He still needs to be rooted and grounded in love (Eph. 3:17). That love is the bond of perfection (Col. 3:14).
The word needs to be rooted and grounded so that it would not be removed. The adversary would not stop fighting and he would fight much more in this season of everlasting life. He wants to hinder us from bearing fruits commensurate to the degree of what we are hearing, but God wants us to bear fruits.
“And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.” (John 17:3). There is a next level after everlasting life, but we do not know it yet. We need to be rooted in everlasting life to be able to comprehend the “Only True God”. The end of the process is for us to know the Only True God. This was the prayer Paul was praying for the Church and this is the real prayer of the Church.
We cannot come into the Holy Place and ask for a carnal meal because it takes understanding to enter into the Holy Place. We pray according to our level in the spirit. The understanding we have is what would inform our prayers. We must pray to come into understanding and also come into its perfection. We need the complete understanding of everlasting life so that we can move on to the next stage of life. This is so that God will dwell in us.
“And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.” (Eph. 3:19). We need the love of Christ that passes all understanding. We need knowledge all through. The life that we are hearing must be transferred into our daily living. We must keep praying until this conversation becomes the commonwealth of our community. The everlasting conversation should be a common salvation – where the least of the brethren is living and embodying the conversation of the everlasting life.
There is no other way we can embody the doctrine of everlasting life except we make prayers, supplication, and intercession. That is why Paul bowed His knees and prayed (Eph. 3:14). We have to pray! We would pray again and keep praying. We must pray to embody everlasting life, and God will grant us entrance. God wants us to embody life everlasting corporately.
