"Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man: But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death. Do not err, my beloved brethren." (James 1:13-16). This scripture speaks of things that the Church should watch out for when God is declaring everlasting things. Satan brings a temptation to thwart what God is doing in every season. There are temptations of different shades and at different levels of our spiritual growth. However, the full strength (peak) of temptation comes when a man is in the season of everlasting life. Satan uses his perverted everlasting wisdom to war with men who are in the zone of everlasting life. However, he also has other perverted spirits that he uses to tempt us at every level of our spiritual growth (Eph. 6:12).
In Genesis 3, we see the display of Satan's temptation in his perverted everlasting state. Adam was tempted because he was an everlasting being who was not yet sealed against lust. God wanted him to fight against lust but he failed.
Anyone who is tempted is drawn away by his own lust (Jam. 1:13). Adam was drawn away by his own lust and he was enticed. That was how he fell. If Adam with his stature in the spirit could fall for Satan's temptation as a result of lust, it means there are many things we do not know about lust.
The temptations that the Israelites faced in the wilderness were different from the ones in the promised land. The everlasting realm is the realm of the promised land. When a man is in the topography of everlasting life, there is a high level of lust that will be activated inside his soul. This is why the highest point of everlasting life will attract the highest form of temptation.
Satan has things that are perverted in the order of everlasting life. These negative and perverted things are the things he will use to tempt those who are within the zone of everlasting life. That was how he used his perverted stature of everlasting life to cause the downfall of Adam in the garden. However, our Lord Jesus Christ succeeded where Adam failed; He did not fall for Satan's temptation (Matt. 4:1-11). This is why He is standing as the High Priest who will raise many sons who are like Him (Heb. 2:18; 4:15-16).
God is committing everlasting things to us so that we will have the strength to endure and overcome Satan's temptation in the everlasting realm (James 1:12, Isaiah 40:28-28).
