Eternal Glorious Fountain Ministry (EGFM)
Programme: Anamnesis Prayer Meeting (Grand Finale)
Date: Saturday, 4th December, 2021
Speaker 1: Pastor Emeka Egwuchukwu
We should not take for granted the mercy of the Lord being constantly shown to us. There are two sides to this: the first is to take God’s mercy for granted while the second is to belittle what the Lord is doing because we look ordinary. We must acknowledge that we are ordinary men whom God is helping. Some of our fathers of old would receive compensation from the Lord on the last day because of the level of consecration they exhibited while on earth. When you read their books, you would see that it is difficult to say that we have the same passion like them.
Apostle James said, "Elias was a man subject to like passions as we are..." (James 5:17). A careful look at this scripture should make one ask the kind of passion James was referring to. It means many men desired these things we are hearing now. They were able to have such a desire because as they journeyed. They were able to perceive some things which they saw afar off and were persuaded to embrace it, by reason of their walk (Heb. 11:13). A man like Smith Wigglesworth saw our generation in the spirit and cried, longing for what we currently have. Whereas, some men in our generation desire to have the kind of powers they had.
God has dispensations and administrations for each generation. As such, there are things that will not happen until the appointed time. And when that time comes, it does not matter the kind of people who lived in that generation; as long as there is a willingness in their hearts, God will show mercy. Hence, what God is doing is not of him who wills or runs; it is of God who shows mercy (Rom. 9:16). We are a generation whom God has shown mercy.
Jane Lead’s prophecy and that of Kenneth Hagin’s camp meeting in 1988 tally. What Kenneth Hagin prophesied was what Jane Lead wrote. However, that of Jane Lead looked more like a teaching prophecy. Taking a careful look at Jane Lead’s prophecy, it seems as though we are interpreting the script of the prophecy. No matter how one arranges himself with religion, there is no way such a one can interpret that prophecy. This is because that prophecy is spirit. This makes it obvious to us that the Father has shown a company of people (like us) great mercy. There are pathways in the spirit that are easy for one or a company of people to find. The people who find it have been shown mercy.
“Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!” (Psalm 107:8). We previously sang this Scripture, interpreting it to mean healing, miracles and natural blessings from the Lord; but now, we have a better understanding. The above verse and another verse -- which says, “O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever” (Psalm 136:1) -- speak about the Lord’s goodness. The Lord has shown His goodness and wonderful works to children of men. This is why scripture says: “What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him?” (Psalm 8:4). If we were to merit that which the Lord is doing in our midst based on commitment and consecration, we would not measure up. There were many men in past generations whose life of devotion to the Lord surpassed ours, and it was evident.
What we are experiencing now are wonderful works of God being made manifest in our midst. The wonderful works of God does not refer to the miraculous; it talks about the works of God Himself. “Great and marvellous are thy works, Lord God Almighty...” (Rev. 15:3). God is showing His wonderful works to the children of men. The words we have been hearing are works in the Son of God, which was done by His Father (John 14:10). These works are not easy for a generation to find. As such, it would take the mercy of the Lord for the unveiling of His works to be shown to a generation. They are wonderful works; they are works in the Son of God.
“For he hath broken the gates of brass, and cut the bars of iron in sunder.” (Psalm 107:16). The gates of brass and the bars of iron refer to forces that have held men down for ages. They are hell and death. Hell and death has reigned and held man in captivity. It has mesmerized the Church. Therefore, it will take the revelation of the works of God being made manifest for us to be set free.
We have found mercy of the Lord to be in this present dispensation. This year’s Anamnesis is unique. One sense in which it is unique is that the theme is yet to be received/announced. It seems like a continuation of last year’s theme - the Father’s New Cup. We spoke about the Father’s cup last year, and we are now discussing the bread; everything ends up in bread. Another thing worthy of note is that the door to things everlasting swung open after last year’s Anamnesis. Although this teaching had been mentioned in the past a few times, the door was swung open for our company to come into it with so much grace recently.
“But I say unto you, I will not drink henceforth of this fruit of the vine, until that day when I drink it new with you in my Father's kingdom.” (Matthew 26:29). We need to preach and exalt till we see that what we are experiencing now is not about us but mercy that we have found from heaven. We are just privileged to be found in this time and season. This is not happening to us because we are better than those who lived in the past, but because the work must be finished, and done. God has shown us mercy in our wilderness and brought us to this wealthy place. Everlasting life is a wealthy place.
The Father’s kingdom refers to everlasting life (Matt. 26:29). This communion is not what we will eat when we die and enter the kingdom. It was rather referring to an entrance into the kingdom that we will be ministered to a people. Some saints in the Early Church got to this place in the spirit, where they partook of the Lord’s cup anew, in the sense that the Lord spoke about it. God has brought us to a place where we will partake of it anew, which means, to partake of it with a new understanding–the elevation of the Father). He was referring to a time when they will begin to open up the Father. Then, the cup will be introduced.
Having reached this place in the spirit, Jesus will begin to open up His Father. At this point, the things the Lord presents is the cup. The cup is made from juice from fruits and seed. This is why it is a wealthy place. The fruit is the fruit of the vine of the Father because the Father is the husbandman. Thus, for the Father to cultivate the vine, He will be cultivating Himself. As such, the Father was doing husbandry in the Son; we also are God’s husbandry (1 Cor. 3:9). The first husbandry of the Father is the Son. When the Father planted in the Son, He planted life (John 5:26). The first life that the Father will give is everlasting life. This was why Jesus said that anyone who drinks of His blood and eats of His flesh would have everlasting life (John 6:53).
There are three words/phrases Jesus used for the different levels of Bread: bread of life, living bread and the bread of God. These three represent different levels of revelation according to their degree of life. The bread of God, which is the true bread, is a being (John 6:33); hence, Jesus used the word, ‘he’ in that verse. The man whom God raised from the dead is the true bread - the bread of God. God has shown us mercy such that in our day, he is causing this bread to be broken in our midst. This is evident in the opening of the eyes. The type of bread that is broken will determine how far our eyes will be opened. The essence of the living bread and the bread of God is so that our eyes will be open to see God - the everlasting God and Eternal Life.
I perceive that the Lord will be serving us bread in this year's Anamnesis. He has been serving us bread, but in this year’s Anamnesis, He will be serving us the bread of God. He will be opening to us even more the bread of God; the bread - God. This is the season of bread. It is the season of the opening of bread, so that we will eat. As we prepare our hearts to come for Anamnesis, we should desire this bread.
Jesus desires to eat this bread anew with us, and our desire should be the same. We must come with a desire to eat of this living bread, even the bread of God. This bread is served through teachings. When it is said that Jesus broke bread, it means He unveiled it (Luke 22:19). There is an utterance for this bread of God. When the bread is broken, we can eat, and then understanding comes. It is via understanding that we partake of the bread. As we partake of it, we live.
There will also be a baptism of the spirit of everlasting life in this year's Anamnesis. In the season of the faith of the Son of God, we were baptised; we knew we came under a cloud. In this season of everlasting life, there is also a baptism. As God breaks the bread and gives to us, His own spirit will enter us. When this happens, we will be doing God’s will, which is also bread (John 4:34). As such, we will enter into a season where we will be doing will.
It took a man like Jacob Boehme to be able to press into life during his time, but it will not take us that long in this season, because grace has been made available. When the kingdom of God is not near, people will have to exert their strength to get into it; but when it is brought nearer, there will be grace to enter.
We should first be thankful for this season, for we are a company that has found mercy. This is not the time to check if this is being said everywhere or not; as long as it is from the scripture, we must do it. This is a season where Eternal Life has to be done. We should come thankful, desirous, and knowing that there is a great visitation in this season. God will be serving us bread; bread of life, living bread, and bread of God. Depending on where we are, everyone will be served. It is good that we get bread in this season. If you do not eat well in these times, you will not be able to do well in the seasons ahead of us. Satan wants to make men weary in the season ahead of us. In this season, we must eat.
We should come to Anamnesis with a large appetite to eat; whether bread of life, living bread, or bread of God. In this season, God will not withhold anything. It is a season where only those who know their God will be made strong; those who have been well fed. “...except if you eat of my flesh and drink my blood, you do not have life…”, (John 6:53); if one does not have life, they will not survive. God is calling us to a great feast in this season.
