1. The time we live in is one where souls are beginning to get tired, but God is living ahead to strengthen us and make us understand that there is something more. One of the scriptures that came to my mind is Acts 27, where Apostle Paul was going through a lot and the angel of God appeared to him and assured him that not one soul would be lost. Let’s be encouraged that God is in the day we live in – “God in the midst of her, she shall not be moved.” (Ps. 46:5).
2. “Therefore my people are gone into captivity, because they have no knowledge: and their honourable men are famished, and their multitude dried up with thirst. [14] Therefore hell hath enlarged herself, and opened her mouth without measure: and their glory, and their multitude, and their pomp, and he that rejoiceth, shall descend into it. [15] And the mean man shall be brought down, and the mighty man shall be humbled, and the eyes of the lofty shall be humbled: [16] But the Lord of hosts shall be exalted in judgment, and God that is holy shall be sanctified in righteousness.” (Isa. 5:13-16). In those days, men began to get into different intoxications that took their hearts away from God. It takes some level of purity of heart to be able to walk through the times that we are in; this is because we would see different intoxications that would make people begin to walk away from the things of God. It takes some level of doggedness and sincerity of purpose to walk in the times we are in because many would come into different intoxications and miss the core and emphasis of God in our time. In this season, God demands that we begin to understand and stay in His will.
3. We are in a season where we will see workings that are championed by hell against the will of God. It is important that we are clear enough to understand and consider the operations of God. We need to be encouraged and strengthened this season, otherwise, the righteousness of God will not be established. Considering the operations of God is not just around traditional frontlines that we have always known; it is around the person of God that is being revealed from heaven. The demand of God is that we come to a place where our hearts are trained to journey with God, otherwise, we will be unable to make the progression into the things of God.
4. There is a great assault against humanity in this present world; we see an enlargement of hell even in traditional systems. The very fundamental issues that border on humanity are being assaulted, and it would encroach much more into the core of our belief system. We ought to track that which God is doing so that we can make the upward journey towards Him. A time has come for us to make that upward thrust. We are coming to such times when God wants to give us lifts in the spirit so that we can fulfil the work of the Lord. This is the time when we need to regard the work of God. The work of God is not in the traditional things that we have known; this is why we should open up ourselves to the revelation of our King.
5. We are being encouraged because we would see the honorable men become famished in the season we are in. Being famished is a point where a man would naturally find a convenient posture to retain the status quo. But of a truth, there is no status quo in the spirit. We have no choice but to go up. God needs to stir up things in our hearts so that we can be able to listen to the things He is saying. We need to open up our hearts in order to track God's thoughts and learn the doctrines of the persons of God. God is opening up and revealing His persons. As we learn them, our hearts move from principles that make us try to survive, to true experiences with the persons of God, thus becoming an anchor for our souls.
6. This is the day when God is strengthening us to move against the onslaught of hell. In our hearts, we need to be definite so that hell does not find a place in our hearts (Eph. 4:27). We need to be instructed in righteousness so that we do not give room to hell. We need to strengthen one another. There is a call for prayers. If God is telling us to pray, then we are being encouraged to enjoy the season. If we do, we would see the victories that the Lord has promised. We are in a time when God is training our hearts.
7. To consider the operations of God is not just about continuous learning but having interactions with God's spirit. God is progressively training us to understand His righteousness not as we have previously known it. God desires to bring things of eternal salvation to us; this is why these learnings of righteousness have to be heaved up. Traditional mindsets would not be enough to stop the enlargement of hell. Although we experienced revealed righteousness before now, it is not enough; there are more righteous requirements to be set before us. We would still see great victories, but we need to strengthen ourselves in the Lord. We would see the revelation of the Lord our righteousness in these times. Righteousness would be given to us as a covenant to hold His things. To come into the everlasting covenant is to be able to hold His life.
8. We would come to a place where we would learn righteousness. We would be able to see it clearly. We would not just hear with the hearing of the ears but our eyes would also see. And when we see, it would become something that we own. This promise is real and we need to begin to set our eyes on it. “Drop down, ye heavens, from above, and let the skies pour down righteousness: let the earth open, and let them bring forth salvation, and let righteousness spring up together; I the Lord have created it.” (Isa. 45:8). We are in a season where we are going to see downpours of righteousness from the Lord, but the earth must be ready to receive it.
9. “They shall be ashamed, and also confounded, all of them: they shall go to confusion together that are makers of idols. [17] But Israel shall be saved in the Lord with an everlasting salvation: ye shall not be ashamed nor confounded world without end. [18] For thus saith the Lord that created the heavens; God himself that formed the earth and made it; he hath established it, he created it not in vain, he formed it to be inhabited: I am the Lord ; and there is none else. [19] I have not spoken in secret, in a dark place of the earth: I said not unto the seed of Jacob, Seek ye me in vain: I the Lord speak righteousness, I declare things that are right.” (Isa. 45:16-19). We are going to see the declaration of righteousness. There is great hope that this voyage would bring us to a place where we would come to terms with the reality that our hearts have looked for. God wants to establish righteousness in our midst; this is why we are encouraged not to give up. We must keep our hearts true and press into the righteousness that God has prepared for us.
