Eternal Glorious Fountain Ministry (EGFM)
Programme: Revelation Hour (RH)
Date: Saturday, 28th May 2022
Ministering: Pastor Thompson Ehima
Every man on earth has the working of Satan within Him and that work is continuous, from the time we were formed in our mothers’ wombs till we leave the earth. Satan can use the whole lifetime of a man to work, for He does not get tired of working. Not everyone can cooperate with God to fight Satan, in order for his works to be destroyed. Therefore, God sometimes cuts short the lives of some men so that they do not prosper in darkness.
When Satan works, he hides it so that men cannot discern him. He wants people to continue in his ways without his works being discovered. This is why Jesus will ask many to come to the light, so that their works may be exposed to the light (Jn. 3:21). We cannot see these works that Satan has wrought in us when we do not have fellowship with light. When we fellowship with light, Satan’s hidden works of darkness in us are exposed (1 John 1:6,8). Instead of working the works of Satan, we should work out what God is doing in us.
God starts His work in us by giving us light. When God does the work within you, you should work it out by agreeing with what God is doing inside you. You have to be adequately spiritually educated and enlightened to understand what the Lord is working in you so that you can find the strength to cooperate with Him. We must be deliberate and not passive about what God is working on our inside; our hearts and minds must be involved in it.
What will make a candlestick church in the school of everlasting life not to cross over into Eternal Life is because of something that is present with them – the mystery of iniquity. There are two dimensions of fellowship with light: the stars and the candlesticks. Both the stars and candlesticks are lights but the candlestick is a light of lower intensity. The stars and candlesticks are both everlasting, but the stars are higher. The stars are called angels of the churches (Rev. 1:20). They are not yet on the throne, but they ought to graduate to the throne and become daystars.
The churches in the book of Revelation experienced a fellowship of light in everlasting life. Some of them had fellowshipped and attained the stature of a star. It was this light of a star that they were then using to communicate to the candlesticks. Both the stars and candlesticks are servants in everlasting life; they serve God. However, the service of a candlestick is different from the service of a star. The stars must have concluded their last work, after which, there is a need for patience (Heb. 10:36). This period of patience symbolizes the point where the man-child was in the womb of his mother.
“And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars:[2] And she being with child cried, travailing in birth, and pained to be delivered.” (Rev. 12:1-2). The star is the sign of the seed of the woman. The man-child is the coming together of the stars that make up the constellation around the woman. The stars were light to the candlesticks, for they had attained a light that could illuminate the pathway of the candlesticks so that they could also come into what they (the stars) had come into. The doctrines of Jezebel, Balaam and the Nicolaitans could tempt the candlestick churches because evil (iniquity) was still present with them.
For God to deal with the mystery of iniquity which is at work in us, there is a need for the bringing in of everlasting righteousness. Satan wants to keep his work hidden. A person who has become Christ must be meek, otherwise, he will not accept that he still has sin in him. This is because Christ's light cannot x-ray or expose the mystery of iniquity in a person. The candlestick light cannot see the mystery of the working of iniquity; it is a work of great darkness.
“The people that walked in darkness have seen a great light: they that dwell in the land of the shadow of death, upon them hath the light shined.” (Isa. 9:2). This scripture is not referring to unbelievers who are dead in sins and trespasses because such people are dead in their spirits and cannot walk. The people who walk in darkness here are people that are using Christ's light, therefore, great light can still visit them. This includes those walking in the sanctuary, outer court or without the camp. This is because Christ’s teaching starts from without the camp and goes into the camp. To walk in darkness means you are taking steps in the season of Christ.
“And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.”(Heb. 2:15). Until a man has crossed into everlasting life, he is still in the dimension of the shadow of death. The shadow of death is the fear of death and it is the working of the mystery of iniquity. Jesus Christ said no man is good except God (Mk. 10:18) because before a man can say he is good, he must have partaken of God and conformed to the image of the Son of God. There is no way we can see the mystery of iniquity until God’s light is shining.
“Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him, [2] That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand. [3] Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition…” (2 Thess. 2:1-3). The “coming” here is not the second coming where all eyes will see Him. Rather, it is the revelation of our Lord Jesus whereby everlasting light will be brought to us. You need to have light with the knowledge of the Son of God. The revelation of the truth of the Son of God is what is needed to reveal the iniquity that is secretly at work in us – for it is a working of evil. This evil is spiritual wickedness, and it is the law governing evil. It will take a spiritual man to judge the working of the spiritual.
A man can stay rejoicing in the finished work of our Lord Jesus without knowing that evil is present in him. There are things a man has to do to break away from evil — he must serve God so that he can stop the works that are secretly taking place in him. This is the essence of the book of Revelation. This service does not refer to things done with physical energy but the works of the soul. In Christ, you start doing works from without the camp. Without the city is where you use the commandment of faith.
What Paul called the righteousness of God is also the righteousness of faith. These are commandments of life and standards of living that faith reveals. This commandment of faith determines how a man relates with his job, wife, time, brethren etc. These are instructions of faith that when obeyed, bring reproach. Sin is a reproach but the cross has its own reproach. We start living by the righteousness of faith from without the camp. They are instructions we give our hearts to obey, like preferring one another for example.
We journey from without the camp, carrying our cross. Our cross is righteousness revealed to us. There are works of righteousness that a carnal man can recognize and God appreciates this at a level. However, when you enter into the Holy Place, any man that is not spiritual cannot judge your obedience of faith or righteousness. This is because that righteousness is primarily dealt with by the operations of the seven golden candlesticks. Here, issues of the heart are dealt with. People who judge sin with what is manifest (things that can be seen) do not understand the depth of the working of Satan in a man.
A man may be good in your sight and this definition may be based on what you can see without. However, works are not only calibrated by what you can see with your natural eyes. There are a lot of works on the inside of a person that the person carrying them might not be unaware of. A man can be ignorant of the work of Satan because he puts a veil on man to not see the work that he is doing.
There is a light that is the eye of the Lord and another light that is called the word of God, which nothing is hidden before. This eye is needed to see the working of Satan. If you use the light of the seven golden candlesticks, you will not see the working of iniquity inside a man. On the other hand, the eyes of the Lord (the flaming light) will show things which are the righteousness of faith. A man in the Holy Place is the man in hope and charity. By the reason of the light in the Holy Place, a man can think that he is okay. When a man has arrived in the Holy Place, a major work has been done to deal with sins that are obvious to the natural eyes, but this does not mean that the work of Satan has been fully death with.
“Work” is different from “works”. Work refers to what Satan has done in people, while works refer to what principalities, powers and rulers of the darkness of this world have done in people. Works of the flesh is a light work of Satan that is without depth. There is a work that is called the valley of the shadow of death; this work is grounded and rooted, just as a man can be rooted and grounded in love (Eph. 3:17).
“If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth: [7] But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.” (1 John 1:6-7). We need the bringing in of everlasting righteousness because when the light of everlasting righteousness is shining, the Son of God is made manifest to reveal the work happening on our inside. This is the work that Satan wants us to remain ignorant of. The essence of light is to reveal those secret works of iniquity that are at work on the inside of us. The revelation of the Son comes to reveal the thoughts and intents of a man’s heart because God wants some things to leave us. However, what makes us keep those things is blindness and ignorance.
“And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. [20] For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.” (John 3:19-20). This darkness refers to works, not carnality. The giving of the Son to the world is the giving of light (John 3:16). To do evil is beyond obvious acts like murder because a doer of evil is ignorant of this work. A person can be coming to church but hate God. One way to know a man that hates God is that he cannot accommodate God when He comes with His standards and commandments. Such a man wants to stay on only on the learning of Christ, but that is not enough.
You cannot come to God without light, for you need light to lead you. You cannot tell the true test of a man until light has come. The true test of a man is how far he can travel in light, commandments and instructions. It is in light that you prove men, for you prove men around waters. Waters refers to word and the word will always expose the strength of men. Darkness preaches; it can counsel someone in light. Darkness is what hearts hold as life.
We have used this life and it has delivered promises to us. It has delivered results and a form of security to us and we have used it to a point of falling in love with it. To fall in love is to make a covenant — this is how we come into covenant with hell and death. This is a covenant with the valley of the shadow of death and to use it means to cooperate with (believe) it till we love it. Sometimes those things we believe are very subtle thoughts (2 Cor. 10:5), which are also works inside us.
That which is called “evil day” is inside men. Satan brings about an evil day by tempting men. Temptation is a tool to unleash evil inside men. We have cooperated with things that we do not know about and agreed with them obliviously. Satan made us fall in love by leadings.
“But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.” (1 John 1:7). To walk in the light is to come into the light and keep commandments (John 14:15). When a person keeps commandments, the things that are resident in him, which make him hate the light would be dealt with, even the works of the devil.
“For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.” (John 3:20). Satan makes us hate our deliverance. When we walk in the light, our deeds are reproved. Reproving our deeds means cleansing us from all sins (1 John 1:7). When a person is clean, he is able to see the need to be delivered from the evil that is present with him and he sees how to relinquish it.
To serve the law of God is to have fellowship with Him, and walk in the light as He is in the light. This is so that the blood/law/testament of Jesus Christ His Son, would cleanse one from all sins. There is no cleansing without serving the law, keeping commandments and walking in the light. Fellowship in the light has to do with transactions, merchandising, and exchanges taking place in the soul from darkness to light for the evil works of Satan to be destroyed (Prov. 23:23).
The law of God are the commandments of God and the testimony of Jesus Christ. Therefore, one must engage in doing commandments first before the testimony of Jesus. The commandment and testimony are love commandments. This is because a saint’s allegiance to darkness cannot be broken without love (John 14:15). When we love the truth we would escape from all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish. A man would perish when he does not have the love of God or His commandment in his heart (John 5:42). As good as acquiring revelation and knowledge is, they are not sufficient. We must desire to come into fellowship by works, for we fellowship by doing.
“If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” (1 John 1:9). This confession is not merely done by our mouths but by walking in the light and keeping the commandments. Your confession is your vocation and profession; it is what you do. Our confession is a gradual process. As we keep commandments and go contrary to the law that has been wrongly written in us, we would be able to defeat the devil. This is what heaven is doing with us.
Blessings!
