There are both edible and non-edible herbs. Edible herbs have their place in the spirit. Edible herbs are medicinal and are for growth. Grasses cover the field but there are herbs that are higher than grasses. Some spices are herbs, however, they are not for feeding but for fragrance. In the Old Testament, God commanded Moses to use some herbs in making the anointing oil (Exo. 30:34); herbs are enabler plants. These herbs have a unique fragrance, which is a means of identification.

“All thy garments smell of myrrh, and aloes, and cassia, out of the ivory palaces, whereby they have made thee glad.” (Ps. 45:8). The palaces here are lands in Eternal Life. The word "palaces'' also means places but places that are majestic. They are places in paradise, which is in God (Ps. 8:1). Gladness is the highest position in elevation. The realm of gladness is a realm of majesty. Paul referred to the everlasting gospel as “glad tidings of good things” (Rom. 10:15) while the prophets referred to it as the good tidings of good (Is. 52:7). The good tidings of good refers to everlasting life that publishes salvation and proclaims the reign of God, which relates to Eternal Life. The proclamation of the reign of God is the message of the Godhead.

“As the dew of Hermon, and as the dew that descended upon the mountains of Zion: for there the LORD commanded the blessing, even life for evermore.” (Ps. 133:3). Life forevermore is everlasting life and it is those who have it that can hear the proclamation of the reign of God.

“And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things...” ( Rom. 10:15). The zone of glad tidings of good things is gladness, yet this zone can be divided. Eternal Life is not just “good things'', rather it is much more than good. There is some measure of gladness in Eternal Life because it is a realm of God's presence. Eternal Life has fullness of joy. The realm of everlasting and Eternal Life is a world of joy. Joy in multiple forms is gladness.

Anointing performs two operations: solid things are broken down into liquid substances. Thus, the mystery of the anointing or oil of gladness emanates from the eternal body of the Holy Ghost; it is a flow/nature of the Holy Ghost. Cassia, myrrh and aloes are members (substances) of God. God is a land in which substances can be planted and reaped, but the Holy Ghost is not like that; He has a unique nature. As such, He operates by anointing.

The oil entity of the Godhead is the Holy Spirit. To anoint Jesus, God took out of Himself and put it into oil to enable Jesus do an eternal work. Gladness is a breakthrough to enable people to have Eternal Life. If a man is not glad, he will not be enabled to have Eternal Life. Gladness is discovery, wisdom, sight; it is a push to cause everyone who needs Eternal Life to have it. The only begotten Son is He who will give Eternal Life, not God.

“Which in his times he shall shew, who is the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings, and Lord of lords...” (1 Tim. 6:15). The positions described here are eternal positions, not just everlasting. Jesus will show His life by emitting wisdom so that men can see who He is the King of kings (Rev. 19:6). The King of kings here is not just reigning over kings but also reigning over many crowns. Jesus is the King of righteousness and King of peace (Heb. 7:2). He is also the King of everlasting life, which means He has an incorruptible crown and He is also the King of Eternal Life.

“Now unto the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God, be honour and glory for ever and ever... Amen” (1 Tim. 1:17). Each of these characteristics (eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God) are crowns. Jesus is a King over crowns. People with lesser dominions will fall under His crown. He is ruler over spheres that no one has ever come into; He came into a dominion that man cannot achieve by Himself. It is only spirits that can seek for this kind of dominion, as man cannot ask for such a thing. When a man is seeking for the Kingdom (Matt. 6:10), such is seeking for crowns that are not within the realm of corruption. This is what Christianity is all about.

“Thou art fairer than the children of men: grace is poured into thy lips: therefore God hath blessed thee for ever.” (Ps. 45:2). ‘Fairer’ here does not refer to physical beauty, rather, the beauty of the soul. This means that Jesus is better than the children of men. Anyone who will receive the grace that is poured into His lips is one who God has blessed forever.

There is a speech of grace that will not be given until one is fairer than the children of men. This grace is the breath of His (the Son) lips that will cause the tongue to write with the pen of the ready writer (Ps. 45:1). The two-edged sword is from His mouth and the pen that He uses to write is the sword. Jesus is a writer both for everlasting life and Eternal Life.

The herbs used for the anointing are in a particular state inside God. Thus, their smell is not ordinary. Animals are killed in the Old Testament and burnt in order for them to release a smell to God. This is why He commanded that those herbs be burnt for a smelling savour before Him. God breathed into man’s nostrils for him to become a living soul (Gen. 2:7). Thus, the nostril was the means by which Adam was brought to life. This tells us that there is something about the nose (the realm of smell).

There is a savour of knowledge that the Bible speaks of (2 Cor 2:14). God put smell on things in order to identify them. A dog has a stronger sense of smell than even a human being. Places where flock (lambs, rams, sheep) are kept have a peculiar smell and those who take care of them smell like them. This is why the smell of the shepherd is not different from the smell of the sheep.

When people get born again, there is a fragrance put on them to call them saints. This is so that they will not smell like the world. The New Birth produces a fragrance in a saint and after the baptism of the Holy Ghost, this fragrance/beautiful smell increases. This fragrance empowers the saint to smell well, but this saint still needs to be perfected.

Saints are those who are separated on the earth by God; they are not those who do seemingly righteous works. Christians and unbelievers do not smell the same way. The spirit of an unbeliever is dead no matter how nice he is. We must understand what God does to people to work in their soul regardless of the death of their spirits He kits the soul with things.

“How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God...” (Heb. 9:14). Jesus offered His blood and gave Himself. The blood is used to perform the work of cleansing for perfecting the saints; thus, making Him the eternal bread which should be eaten. He was made by mixing with the anointing oil. Oil moves substances. These substances will not be enabled without oil. The oil speaks of something spiritual; an eternal energy which triggers out the effect of the substances. There are things in the substances needed in the oil to make Jesus glad. To make Jesus glad is to make Him perform some eternal operations. Jesus gives Eternal Life in His ecstasy.

In the realm where Jesus was in the beginning, He needed to be enabled to carry out some works because He was limited by His flesh. Thus, to make Him do what He can do in that form, He needed to be anointed. These are the things that crowned Jesus as King. He acts out the crown of Eternal Life; Jesus is the giver of Eternal Life.

“And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, King Of Kings, And Lord Of Lords.” (Rev. 19:16). The description, “King of kings and Lord of lords” is the description of who the Word is. When the sword is upon the thigh, it means one is carrying out the word making it one's life. Glory is what He became but majesty is where He operates from (Ps. 45:3). There is something about majesty; it is an expansion, an emanation of glory. Glory can never be known except in majesty. Majesty is the throne; it reveals the King manifesting His majesty.

“As thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him.” (John 17:2). God is seeking for flesh because no spirit (angel) will sit on the throne. The flesh that would sit on the throne will not be a natural flesh (man) but a highly spiritual one. Satan sought to sit on the throne but was denied because it was not his prerogative to decide who sits on the throne. The throne of God is a place that the angels cannot sit on; it is not for spirits to sit on.

The gift of Jesus to us was two fold: in the Sanctuary and in everlasting life. It is Jesus’ ministry to give Eternal Life. Although Eternal Life is the gift of God, Jesus will be responsible for the giving. Jesus is still on the throne waiting to give Eternal Life to as many that the Father will give Him.

Everything has been written out and the script has been acted out. The book of Leviticus consists of the laws of eternity. The Jewish laws were plucked from eternity; they ate the wisdom of God. Our world began with botany and that is not ordinary. We were not initially living on the mountains. Rather, we were living in the fields. Mountains came after the greens. After Mount Zion is Mount Olive; and olive is a tree. The order is botany first then geology. God arranged the universe in a smart way; nobody owns this world but God.
