Transcript Summary
1. The Father designed a path for our Lord Jesus and He had to find contentment in this path. He lived strictly by the comfort of truth. The humanity of our Lord Jesus was not originally divine; it required a process of time and a lot of training to attain divinity. There are trainings that can alter the frame of the flesh. Men ought to keep being upgraded until we can fulfill the obedience around the coordinates of everlasting life. It is in the place of using everlasting life faithfully that a sense will be developed in us to locate the bearing of the East (or Eternal Life).
The judgment of the Father ought to form a compass in our souls so that we can locate the East. We ought to fulfill the understandings that pertain to everlasting life so that we can receive the sense to mind the things of the East. It is the Lord Almighty that gives portions of the spirit and judgements of the Spirit of God. What the Spirit of God wants to communicate is a light, with which we would be able to use to judge all things.
2. There is a kind of man the Lord wants to reap from the earth. "And I looked, and, lo, a Lamb stood on the mount Sion, and with him an hundred forty and four thousand, having his Father's name written in their foreheads." (Rev. 14:1). This same project is currently ongoing among us. It started for the Hebrew church when the Father began to declare His name to them, so as to awaken a nature and a sense that can relate with the East (or with Eternal Life). Those who have acquired the name of the Father on their forehead are the people the Lamb could lead whithersoever He 'goeth' (Rev. 14:4). The Lamb comes from the east or the eternal realm. There is a time we will be able to fulfill this prophecy. We would acquire the divine sense to follow the Lamb wherever He goes because we would have acquired the installation that Adam fell short of. Adam was a temple site; he was not yet an abiding temple. He was only a living soul that was meant to abide by getting the inheritance that is incorruptible, undefiled and that fades not away (1 Pet. 1:4).
3. Jesus had prospered in the inheritance of the Father; that was why He was able to resolve every thought that could see Him contravene the law of that inheritance. Whenever we cannot see the end of a conversation, it means there is still something mysterious to us and the enemy can take advantage of it. That is why the Lord (through His High Priestly ministry) is dealing with our ignorance (Heb. 5:1-3). The realm of everlasting life is where we would overcome the devil and have a nature like Jesus had. Jesus had nothing of this world in Him. He had finished the works of everlasting life to a point where He could trap a glory in His soul; this was manifested on the Mount of Transfiguration. That kind of man could unconsciously respond to temptations the right way. Our Lord Jesus had offered up His life; He was a dead man and could no longer yield to temptation. He was dead to Satan and alive to another world.
There is a company God is raising that will follow the Lamb through and through because of the everlasting seal. Adam did not have that seal; He was not yet a temple or a full house because he had not kept the tiding that was delivered to him (1 Tim. 3:15). We must understand that if Adam could despise that tiding, then we also can come short of it. As glorious as Eden was outwardly speaking, it could not satisfy the soul of Adam. Likewise, there is nothing under the sun that can satisfy the soul.
4. "And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory." (1 Tim. 3:16). To be justified in the Spirit means that our Lord Jesus had lived in the Holy Ghost. This was where angels found the answer to the question about why God was mindful of man (Psa. 8:4). By the time God fully raised our Lord Jesus and the angels saw Him, they agreed that man would be a better tabernacle than them (Heb. 1:6). They saw that man would enter into an estate that is better than theirs. They knew that man would be the cherubs and the angels of the world to come. They saw the actual heavenly man (1 Cor. 15:47). The angels saw a conversation of the heaven that is in God.
Paul said that our conversation is from heaven (Phil. 3:20). This heaven is not the one that angels are in, rather, it is the New Testament conversation of everlasting life. Old Testament saints had a shadow of it, and those who were faithful with it ended up seeking for a city (of God). What they were seeking was what our Lord Jesus embodied. Those men in Revelation 14 are those who will complete this curriculum and follow the Lamb to where He is going – God (John 13:3). The season we are in is for the preparation of the tabernacle of God, which would be found among men. Angels count it an honour to minister to those who will bring this to pass or to those who will be tabernacles of God (Psa. 103:20).
5. Adam was in an estate of glory, but not as one who abides. It is in the abiding realm that one becomes a full temple. It is when one lives and abides that he has the incorruptible inheritance and overcomes. It is he who overcomes that gets the different rewards enumerated in the book of Revelation. What Satan uses to tempt us are our own things, and this can include what God has given to us. Everlasting life is a realm of selflessness. Whosoever does not live with a selfless sense will find himself not keeping some laws of God. We have to be selfless about the things God is committing to our trust.
"Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God..." (Phil. 2:5-6). When Jesus was instructed with that mind, He did what they are calling us to do now and what the angels are currently doing. Angels’ minds are focused on how we can be made tabernacles of God, not how they are going to be tabernacles for God. By doing so, they are demonstrating love and keeping faith with their works. This is what translates to the worship they offer to God. This was what Abraham did at Mount Moriah, even though he had to be built for many years to handle that sacrifice and to fulfill that obedience. There is a sacrifice every one of us will offer in a place in the spirit; this can be likened to a Mount Moriah experience that will birth in us a sense which will help us relate with the east, which is the eternal realm.
6. The mind in Philippians 2:6-9 is higher than a Christ-mind; it is a divine mind that is formed by the doctrine of the Father and the Son. Making oneself of no reputation is beyond an exploit of charity. “Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God…” (Phil. 2:6). Jesus did not count his equality with God as a thing to be grasped. We do not have the nature of letting go of things (or glories) like our Lord Jesus had. Even as servants of God, we should not have an attachment to the flock. One needs divine nature to keep that commandment. The enemy can slip through the cracks of our humanity unknown to us. As long as we still use the righteousness of faith in Christ when we ought to be using the judgment of everlasting righteousness, our unredeemed humanity will prevail.
Looking at the way the Lord related with the disciples and even Judas, we would see that He was not attached to them. Ministers of the gospel ought to be committed to the church, but they should not be attached to the flock. This is one of the secrets of the Lord Jesus (in following God) while He was on earth. God is very jealous; He wants the heart of everyone, including ministers. He does not want the flock to be in a seat where He ought to occupy. This nature is a high thought that has to be broken down by the everlasting gospel for it to generate a work. Iniquity hides in cracks like these. It takes high judgment for us to be unbundled from this nature.
7. Jesus had the empowerment to let go of things. This is an eternal power that is different from the power of God in Christ which helps one let go of the world. This eternal power is what makes us able to fight false glories and high thoughts that exalt themselves against the knowledge of God. We need to be empowered to lay down our lives. Many of us do not even know what our lives are. Abraham had to be raised for over twenty years for him to lay down his life. That was the period when the word “worship” was first mentioned in the Old Testament. This means we are still being prepared for a particular worship. There are obediences that will make us cross from the life of Christ to everlasting life and from everlasting life to Eternal Life.
8. Our salvation is nearer than when we first believed. If the Lord is already talking about the things of the Eternal, it means the Lord wants to accelerate our everlasting walk. The days ahead are more beautiful and glorious than we can imagine. We are coming into the day that 'father Abraham' rejoiced to see, which is the day that our Lord Jesus also came into. God’s expectation is that He will find a typical tabernacle in us in order to relocate His tabernacle from among angels (Rev. 21:3).
Blessings!
