The Essence of Everlasting Life

Heaven wants us to get to a place of strong persuasion about the things that we are hearing. Some of the things coming in this season are hard to be understood in our realm; but on the side of God, there is nothing hard to be understood. The thoughts of man and God are so different that God has to use many mediums to step His thoughts down until He can reach us with what He wants to say.

What God is now saying through His Son is something that He has been wanting to say (Heb. 1:1). If you have not heard the Son, you have not heard the Father. God spoke to the fathers through the prophets. Through leading, they all arrived at the revelation of the everlasting God but did not fully break into it. Abraham got to Bathsheba, the place of the oath, and so did Isaac.

However, there was something that did not allow them to fully break into the realm of the everlasting God. Thus, they could not get to the end of the everlasting God and could not cross into the realm of the Eternal God. If they got to the end of the everlasting God, they would have broken into the realm of the Eternal God. The things that stopped them are what the Lord, in His mercy, is revealing to us so that we might get to the end and also break through into the eternal realm.

The fathers found mercy to be able to follow through God’s leadings in their weakness and without the Holy Ghost. Isaac displayed so much nobility and he dug wells. Wells have to do with everlasting life. Well is a mystery of hitting everlasting life. Christ went through everything that the fathers went through. While they went through it in the natural, He went through it in the spirit.

When Jesus got to a place wherein He was weary of His journey, the disciples had to go look for something for Him to eat (John 4:6). God broke His strength and He sat by a well until the Samaritan woman came to the well. The well was an ancient portal that Jesus came in contact with; and He got to a place where the real mystery of everlasting life would spring forth from. The woman He met at the well typified that which hell and death has destroyed.

Jesus stayed by that well and met with the woman to show that the essence of everlasting life is to turn the dead into the living. The dead will not only be made to live but will also be turned into the living who can generate children of truth. The way to know that a thing is living is if it can pass through its offspring. Anything that would pass through an offspring must have stayed, remained, endured and is now a posterity in the home.

The scripture says, "train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it" (Prov. 22:6). The scripture says "when he is old", not "when he is growing". It is possible for a child to depart from a path when he is growing but when he is old, he will surely stay. The posterity of the living is that when his child is old, truth becomes the fortress of that child. The epistle of John speaks of Gaius and the Elect Lady who have children that are walking in truth because they have not only lived but they are living (2 John 1-4, 3 John 1).

The Israelites took the spiritual food and drink in the wilderness but still fell because it did not profit them (1 Cor. 10:1-5). Though they lived by it, they did not yet break the codes of death. The fact that one is alive right now does not guarantee that one will be alive forever. God is not only concerned with us being alive today, He also desires that we live forever. What hell and death desires is that even though we live now, we should not live forever. The patriarchs of faith did great exploits but they could not get the promise. Something was limiting them from breaking through into the realm of the living.

All the epistles of the apostles started with Christ and ended with everlasting life. James was not writing to the churches of Christ, but to fathers. That is why he spoke about the Father with whom there is neither variableness nor shadow of turning (Jam. 1:17). Children can turn but fathers must not turn; there must be no shadow of turning or variableness with them.

Grave and death cannot praise God (Isa. 38:19). This was talking about the works of everlasting life. The works of everlasting life will make you a living being continuously before it can be accounted that you have overcome hell and death.

Perishing must end by Eternal Life. However, one must first of all get to everlasting life before one gets to Eternal Life (John 3:15-16). The Only Bliegotten Son is the only one with the authority to take care of what limits men from living. That is the reason why He had to become a High Priest (Heb. 4:15).

Jesus told Mary not to touch Him before He ascended (John 20:17). He emphasized "My Father and your Father" and "My God and your God"; implying that God has to be the Father and God of Jesus first before He can be the Father and God of others. The reason why Jesus could ascend was because God fathered Him. God became His God after He had fathered. This means without the Father, you cannot come to God.

The Father is a mystery and God is a mystery (Coloss. 2:2). God had to raise Jesus first so that He can have what it takes to be a Father and to be a God. That is the reason for ascension. What makes Jesus different from other sons is that He ascended. No man has ever ascended (John 3:13). Elijah was taken up but he did not ascend.

Jesus sometimes spoke some hard sayings in order to divide men who will turn back from those who will move forward. In John 6, Jesus told the people that except they eat His flesh and drink his blood they would not have life (John 6:53). It was a dividing moment for Him because the way they related with Him was going to change from that moment. There are things in us that we still keep -- things that cannot make us go all the way. They need people who have lost their lives; if you do not lose your life, you cannot gain it (John 12:25).

Jesus went from earth to heaven so that He can solve the problem, and through His obedience as a man, save us. Through one man's sin, death came (Rom. 5:15). Similarly, dealing with death is going to require one man's obedience. A man still has to be involved, no matter how much God is interested in saving us.

God let His Son come down and go through the ascension process, which has been impossible for man. God found one of Himself who chose to come down and be a man. Once Jesus came down, the Holy Ghost had to come down to also stay. The Holy Ghost had never come to stay before on the earth because They are heavenly beings. In a similar manner, the Father is also going to come to us (John 14:23).

Jesus is to be worshiped and served because His ascension has made everything available, including the gifts of Christ. The essence of the gifts is to ensure that men are ready to receive the Father (Eph. 4:8-13). The church cannot go anywhere without the gifts of Christ. There are certain churches that are built around the gifts of the Spirit rather than the gifts of Christ (Eph. 4:7). As such, they expose the whole flock to wolves. Other churches are going to arise which will have gifts of the Spirit only as an addendum to the gifts of Christ; they will not replace the gifts of Christ. God designed and ordained the gifts of the Spirit for common use.

We are in a season where God wants our gaze to focus more on seeing Jesus as the ascended Lord and to see all the territories inside of the One who made Him who He is. We must comprehend what enables Him to have such honor and such a level of exalted office. He was made with the substances of things to come.

In the Old Testament, there was no access to the Most Holy Place; only the high priest could go in once a year (Exo. 30:10). The way into the Holiest of all was concealed and was not known to men. What God did through Jesus was to make the way manifest through Jesus' flesh (Heb. 10:20). Jesus' life spelt out the way. 'Jesus is the way, the truth and the life' (John 14:6). However, the way in Hebrews 9:8 is higher than that way.

Christ's way is a preparation while the other one is an access. If one is prepared and does not have access, he cannot still get to God. God expects that this way is known to all believers. If it is not well known, the office of the High Priest is defeated. The High Priest is not the Christ who died but the Christ that was raised from the dead.

What God is expecting from us at this time is that everyone who has journeyed in Christ should access this grace -- this door. If we do not access the everlasting door, then our Christ journey is a waste. If our only gain is Christ as we journey, then we are of all men most miserable (1 Corinth. 15:19). The reason for Christ is access into the dominion of heaven.

"So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory" (1Corinthians 15:54). Sayings are not ordinary. Hell and death came by saings. Satan made sure that the sayings were fulfilled until hell and grave descended on men. However, there is another saying that will be brought to pass, "O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?" (1 Corinthians 15:55).

Death and grave are the two things that kept men from breaking through into incorruptibility. Death kills while the grave keeps. Nothing can take back from the grave. Only those that obey the power of everlasting life can be delivered from the power of hell and grave. God is determined that men will live and that is why the present teachings and sayings are essential to destroy the works of the devil (1 John 3:8).

The essence of the High Priest over this house of God is for this access (Hebrews 10:19-21). The access is not just entrance into the Holiest of All but to walk through it. After accessing the Holiest, there is still a journey between the veil and the ark which is our destination.

We must love to eat because the gospel involves eating. Jesus likes eating. Even after resurrection He still ate (Luke 21:41-43). He can condescend to be a man even though He is God. The estate of man is glorious but the devil has turned him in the wrong way. Jesus is beautiful and that did not change His sight for heavenly glory.

Everlasting life is going to become clearer. Just as we have dealt with the serpent, we are going to defeat the devil who is the dragon because his secret is still in his gene. The gene of the word of God has been sent to destroy it. We will get the divine gene because the answer is that divine gene. The seed of God is what we are looking for (1John 3:9). At the end of the everlasting journey, what we are going to get is the divine seed which is the seed of incorruptibility.

We are eating the bread of life; we will still eat the bread of the living God and then move to eat the bread of God. God wants us to know that the essence of our eating is to fulfill two things: our sanctification and our preservation (Jude 1:2). There is a need to be sanctified by God even though we have been sanctified before. The Father is the one who knows the issues in this realm because the one who brought the predicament is a father also. Jesus went through the Father's sanctification so that we would know the need for our cleansing from the things of death, of hell and of the grave, which is also called "lie" (John 17:19).

Death is not strong but it is deceptive. Jesus is the only one who saw how he would die, knew how he would die and aligned with how it had been proposed for Him to die without altering it. For Him to surrender completely to the process of death is one of the ways to describe His victory over death. The essence of sanctification is to cleanse us from the tattoos of death and the programs that death has printed in man.

It is truth that sanctifies; it is also truth that preserves. The truth that sanctifies is the truth of the Father that we believe. The truth that preserves is the truth of the Father that we love. We would not be cleansed properly if we do not move from the belief of truth to the love of truth. When a soul has not loved truth, delusions can take him over. The essence of the love of truth is to save from delusion (2 Thess. 2:10-11).

Those who are sanctified are saved in a way but that safety is not complete because it is not yet in the sphere of incorruptibility. Love of truth preserves beyond corruption. That is where the seed of incorruption is given which is the seed that cannot die. If one sows the seed of belief of the truth, it can still die because it is not yet preserved. Once the seed of incorruptibility is sown, it must put on corruption. What the Lord is doing in us is to produce a seed that can be sown. Our life must become a seed in God's hand.

If the seed falls and dies while it is not a seed of incorruption, it will not come back (John 12:24). Jesus is that seed; He is the incorruptible seed of the Father. That seed is to bring forth a new fruit which is Eternal Life. If the seed that is sown is not preserved before sowing, it will not come out. That is why in farming, any seed that is sown is first of all preserved. Every substance of the former life in the seed must be removed so that it can be a seed that can be sown. If it cannot survive the preservation, then it is not a seed for the next season and cannot be sown.

The seed of incorruptibility is the seed that the Father has preserved. It is a seed that is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and made higher than the heavens (Hebrews 7:26). When it is sown, it will come back with the heavens.
