The Essence of Partaking of the Spirit of Love (WTVPM)

The law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus begins at faith and climaxes in charity. However, the carnal mind is not subject to the law of God (Rom. 8:7). The essence of the law of God is so that we can find life (Deut. 30:20). Therefore, without the giving of the law of God, we cannot have access to the conversation of the life of God. The commandment/law of God reveals the life that the Son of God came to give us an understanding of (1 Jn. 5:20). This understanding is the understanding of the everlasting God and the only True God. We cannot come into the understanding of this life without the law.

The first operation that takes place with the opening of the law of God to us is judgement. We need to know what the judgement that God gave His Son entails and the understanding it distils on the earth. God is light (Jam. 1:16). The faith in Timothy was not just faith alone but an unfeigned faith. Faith that is unfeigned is a tried faith. Faith cannot be sincere until it has undergone the exercise of hope and also used love. Faith cannot be unfeigned until the love commandment has been kept.

"Neither give heed to fables and endless genealogies, which minister questions, rather than godly edifying which is in faith: so do. [5] Now the end of the commandment is charity out of a pure heart, and of a good conscience, and of faith unfeigned…" (1 Timothy 1:4-5).

Faith unfeigned has gone through the hope or the patience of Christ because the hope of Christ is patience. It involves patiently enduring the seasons of purging and pruning away from worldly lusts that war against the soul. Paul commanded Timothy that one of the requirements for ordaining a deacon or elder in the church must be that they have held the mystery of faith in a pure conscience (1 Tim. 3:9). This also connotes that Timothy had a higher conversation than those whom he ordained. We see this in 1 Timothy 1:5; Timothy already had this faith, as Christ dwelt in his heart by faith.

"Wherefore I put thee in remembrance that thou stir up the gift of God, which is in thee by the putting on of my hands." (2 Timothy 1:6). Timothy had used this faith till the end of inheriting Christ. But he must now go further to stir up the gift of God. Revelation is the gift of God – the gift of lights. Just as the finger of God wrote upon the tablet of stones, Paul, as an able minister, was able to put gifts of God into Timothy.

"For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind." (2 Timothy 1:7). The spirit of power is the spirit of revelation (2 Pet. 1:16; Rom. 16:25). We partake of power through the unveiling of revelation unto us. We can partake of this power at the level of Christ too (Rom. 1:16-17). The gift of God to us is the downloading of revelation to us. Revelation is aimed at moving us to the state of love (Philip. 1:7-). We need the spirit of God to receive the things that are freely given to us by God (1 Cor. 2:12).

God is love, life and light. The judgement of God’s life is summed up in love. However, there are different dimensions of God’s love (Eph. 3:18-19). Hence, judgement is needed to resolve all the parameters of God’s love. It is not a place of simplicity. We need the blessing of Urim and Thummim to be able to tell the dimensions of God’s love. So, we need to be skillful to be able to handle the dimensions of the will of God, hence the need for strong meat.

Understanding must not remain as understanding. God intends that we move further to birth conversation with the understanding that has been gotten. This conversation is the high calling of God in Christ Jesus (Phil. 3:14). We need to break into the high code of love.

When we use the conversation of the spirit of love well, we will arrive at a sound mind. When we partake of the everlasting love of God, we gain a sound mind. It would take a sound mind to fellowship with Eternal thoughts. A mind that can still be tossed to and fro or is not yet excellent cannot decipher the operations of Eternal Life. We need to partake of the gift of Eternal power because it opens doors to everlasting thoughts through revelation.

We have done love in previous seasons, but in this season, heaven is raising the bar of love. This is a high call.

Paul, in Phil. 3:14, was raising a framework that is required to come into the fellowship of light. God intends to fully bring us into the allocation where we would partake of the spirit of love. This spirit is not a being, but a life, a conversation. This is the conversation that every soul must come into now. Without partaking of the spirit of love and being exercised therewith, we would not attain a sound mind. There is a need for exercise and practice for that law to be written in the soul.

We exercise ourselves by the revelation and understanding that has been given, to transact a conversation while submitting to the Holy Spirit. It would take the wisdom of the Spirit to take steps in those things; hence it is referred to as a law. This is not a law the carnal mind can conjure; one has to lean on the spirit of understanding to visit the soul with counsel and judgement. Sometimes, these laws come as suggestions but they are instructions.

John 6:63

"It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life."

There is no life without interacting and fellowshipping with the spirit of that life. One must engage the dealing and attitude that the law designs for the soul, for its essence is to inherit the life thereof. When Jesus says the words He speaks are spirit, it means that they are laws that should take their place in us. Every man has a law at work in him.

"And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins; [2] Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience…" (Ephesians 2:1-2).

This spirit is a law, a working that produces a life that is after the order of sin and death, and also hell and death. Therefore, we cannot partake of the spirit of love until we engage the orchestrations of the Holy Ghost around us. We need to engage the spirit of love in exercise and practice in conversation before we can inherit life. We must engage the spirit of the testimony for it to become life in us. We must engage in its working, not frustrating the grace of God.

“I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain.” (Galatians 2:21). To not frustrate the grace of God is to allow God, to give oneself to the wind of the Spirit. The Spirit of God will always give us instructions; when we yield to it and hearken to His voice, that voice converts us and brings us to apprehend a conversation. So, one can be born of the spirit of love but first, one must hear the sound of it. This sound is a sound of commandments and instructions, encouragement, correction and chastening. The sound we are hearing will blow us and carry us and convert us.

“The voice said, Cry. And he said, What shall I cry? All flesh is grass, and all the goodliness thereof is as the flower of the field:  The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: because the spirit of the LORD bloweth upon it: surely the people is grass.” (Isaiah 40:6-7). In this month’s Writing the Vision, the spirit of love will blow upon us and we will hear sounds that will lead to conversations, corrections and chastening; and we will carry that sound. When we yield to those sounds, it would take us into light and we would embody the life in Jesus’ name.

Blessings!

 Summary

1. The law of God is what interprets the conversation of God. This is why the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus begins at faith and climaxes in charity. However, the carnal mind is not subject to the law of God (Rom. 8:7).

2. The essence of the law of God is so that we can find life. The Son of God came to give us the understanding of the life that the law reveals (1 John 5:20). This understanding is the understanding of the everlasting God and the only true God.

3. Faith that is unfeigned is a tried faith. Faith can only be sincere when it has gone through the hope or the patience of Christ. This means faith cannot be sincere until it has undergone the exercise of hope and also used love.

5. The judgement of God’s life is summed up in love, but there are different dimensions of God’s love (Eph. 3:18-19). It is judgement that will therefore help us to resolve all these parameters of love. We need the blessing of Urim and Thummim to be able to tell the dimensions of God’s love.

6. God does not just want us to have the understanding of His word but to also birth conversations by virtue of the understanding we have been given. When we use the conversation of the spirit of love well, we would arrive at a sound mind.

7. A mind that can still be tossed to and fro, or is not yet excellent cannot decipher the operations of Eternal Life. We need to partake of the gift of eternal power because it opens the doors of everlasting thoughts through revelation.

8. God intends to fully bring us into the allocation where we would partake of the spirit of love. This spirit is not a being but a conversation. This is the conversation that every soul must come into. There is a need for exercise and practice for this law before it can be written in the soul.

9. We exercise ourselves by the revelation and understanding that has been given to us while submitting to the Holy Spirit. This is because it will take the wisdom of the Spirit to take the steps that are required of us before they can become a law in us.

10. We cannot partake of the Spirit of love until we engage the orchestrations of the Holy Ghost around us. We need to exercise and practise the conversation of the spirit of love before we can inherit life. When we yield to the instructions of the Spirit and hearken to it, we will be converted and apprehend that conversation.
