“At the same time came the disciples unto Jesus, saying, Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven? [2] And Jesus called a little child unto him, and set him in the midst of them, [3] And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven. [4] Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven.” (Matt. 18:1-4). There is a humility that children must observe to make them the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. As long as an old man remains old, he cannot be born anew. Death is the process of conversion in which one must pass through the crucible of death, helplessness or weakness. Fervent charity makes us small enough to enter the womb. A typical child is helpless, but the child in the womb is more helpless and weaker.

A child in the womb has no say! Although a child/toddler can refuse certain things, a child in the womb cannot — such a child cannot do anything for himself (Jn. 5:19). Such a child has come into the state of being dead. The Lord wants to bring us into a zone of being dead. In order for the glory of the Lord to be manifest, Lazarus had to die (Jn. 11:4). He did not merely faint or die for one or two days. But he ought to have died long enough (four days) for God to come into the scene to make His glory manifest (Jn. 11:1-45).

The law of the spirit of life in Christ Jesus makes us weak men towards God (Rom. 8:2). It beats us into a form where we are weak towards God, and makes us become a man of peace whom God can relate with (Rom. 5:1). The old man (sinful nature) is a man weak towards Satan but strong towards God (Eph. 4:22). Satan created the law of the old man: it is a law which he can relate with but makes it difficult for God to relate with man.

“Is not my word like as a fire? saith the LORD; and like a hammer that breaketh the rock in pieces?” (Jere. 23:29). The old man has a rock in him: an old man is a man who is a stone against God but a flesh to Satan. Such a man is weak to Satan but strong against God. When God raises a man whom the law of the Spirit of life will work upon, He is raising a man who is weak towards God. The rock which Jesus named Simon Peter is a rock against Satan (Matt. 16:18). A man whom God is at peace with, a man that is weak towards God. The first way the Lord would break us as His people is by the introduction of the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus. It is the law that would make us weak towards God (Rom. 8:2).

“For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. [7] Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.” (Rom. 8:6-7). A strong mind — the carnal mind —  is an enemy. Such a mind is strong against God and cannot allow Him. The Lord is taking us through this process of weakness and death so He can work within us. The work of God is not achieved when men are strong and alive; it is done in death. Glories show when death is administered. The glory which came upon our Lord Jesus in John 17:5 came after He died. Jesus had to pass through a process called death for the glory to be administered.

Satan can resolve a strong man. But a broken, weak and helpless man is the sacrifice which God cannot despise (Ps. 51:17). When the Lord rejects a people, it is because they have not gone through the process of being broken. The Lord wants to break a people because we have a formation crafted by Satan which is against God. It is something that God cannot work with. The law of the Spirit of Life (the first law/Christ-law) is to break one in order to make one a man of peace whom God can relate with.

When we become men of peace, we would be broken further to move into deeper and higher levels of weakness to enable us to become weaker and more vulnerable to God by the laws of everlasting life; to the end that we become the child of the womb that God can relate with. Satan’s law — the law of sin and death  — makes one a man of unrighteousness and ungodliness. It makes a man a rock that God cannot use.

We have to become a womb child. A womb child is kept from the attack of Satan. Satan wants to attack the church but the womb is the place of eternal safety. Satan was waiting to devour the man-child after he was born (Rev. 12:3-4). Satan can still devour a little child who is walking around, but he cannot resolve the man in the womb. He has no power over such because the child would be caught up straight to God and to His throne (Rev. 12:5).

“...Quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, out of weakness were made strong, waxed valiant in fight, turned to flight the armies of the aliens.” (Heb. 11:34). God wants to bring us into His strength. God is a man of war who is stronger than Satan, but He brings us into His strength through weakness. We are not useful to God when we are strong and hold on to our energies. It is in our weakness that the strength of God is made perfect (2 Cor. 12:9).

“And he said unto them, Out of the eater came forth meat, And out of the strong came forth sweetness. And they could not in three days expound the riddle.” (Judges 14:14). The Lord wants to bring a riddle upon us, where a strong man would bring forth sweetness. A lion is a strong being. But out of the death of the lion, sweetness would emerge (Judges 14:14). There is sweetness hidden on our inside. There are sweetnesses that the Lord desires to smell. When the Lord smelt the sweet-smelling savour in the days of Noah, He said He would no longer curse the earth (Gen. 8:20-21).

The Lord wants to take the death and limitations of Satan away from us, and it can only occur when we die. This death is accomplished by the subjective leading of the Spirit. We would be led into places we do not want to go. Our death in the Lord is sweet, and it is not something we should avoid. Otherwise, sweetness would not come out of God (Rev. 14:13). The Lord has His orchestrations to break us. We should therefore align for that sweetness to come out of us, and the precious fruit which God can eat would be pressed out (James 5:7). God wants to feed upon us. Sweetness must come forth from us. We should therefore not escape the death of God in this season.

We must be open-hearted to receive every word that the Lord will be bringing our way. We should not break away from the places the Lord has put us, e.g our workplace, area of residence, etc. We must resolve to stay in the subjective leading of the Spirit. We must yield to God to become the precious fruit that God the husbandman is waiting for. We must release ourselves to the death process of the Lord to destroy the death process of Satan that is already at work in us. Out of our brokenness, sweetness will come forth. The Lord will break us and we will become a meat that God can feed from. We would become the precious fruit that the husbandman can eat of (James 5:7).

Blessings!

Summary

  1. The Lord has been emphasizing the subject of weakness and helplessness amidst us. Therefore, we should possess the ability to allow the Lord to do what He desires to do in us and through us.

  1. There is a humility that children must observe to enter into the Kingdom of God (Matt. 18:3-4).

  1. Death is the process of conversion where one has to pass through the crucible of weakness and helplessness. We must be reduced to enter the womb (John 3:4). A typical child is helpless; a womb-child cannot do anything for himself (John 5:30).

  1. The Lord wants to bring us into a zone of being dead. While Lazarus was awake, certain things could not be manifested. For the glory of the Lord to be manifest, Lazarus had to die (John 11:4).

  1. The old man is a man who is weak towards Satan but strong towards God (Eph. 4:22). The law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus makes one a weak man towards God (Rom. 8:2; 6-7). It makes us a man of peace whom God can relate with. Then, we further move into a higher level of breaking by the laws of everlasting life.

  1. The Lord desires us to become vulnerable. A broken man is a sacrifice which God cannot despise (Ps. 51:17). The glory that is being committed to us in this season would only be administered when we go through a period of weakness and helplessness.

  1. God wants to bring us into His strength by weakness (Heb. 11:34). A lamb is one who is already made weak. However, the One on the throne is the most vulnerable: He is slain; He is most helpless (Rev. 5:6). We also must become weak by the laws of Christ so that the laws of everlasting life may work upon us for God's use.

  1. The Lord wants to bring a riddle upon us that a strong man would bring forth sweetness (Judges 14:14). God has orchestrations to break us; by the subjective leading of the Spirit. We must therefore align, so that sweetness and the precious fruit which the Husbandman can eat can be pressed out (James 5:7).
