Ministering: Reverend Kayode Oyegoke
"Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord: [6] And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse." (Mal. 4:5-6). This ministry of Elijah that will turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers has a wider reach than just the Israelites. John’s ministry focused on the Israelites while that of Elijah is a global assignment. God therefore promised to send this high spirit of the portion of Elijah so that He can turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the disobedient unto the wisdom of the just; to make ready a people who are prepared for the Lord (Luke 1:17).
“But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall.” (Mal. 4:2). This healing streams down from Jesus to the body, and from the body to the world. The word ‘wings’ can be likened to leaves which are living. Feathers make us wings; and they are a sign of healing just like leaves. The purpose of wings is to fly. As such, God will make these wings spread over nations so that it can be a covering to them and for healing to spread over nations.
God wants to heal people. This is why He has sent a healing angel to us. What God is doing is not just to teach us the Word but to also help herald this work. We however need a lot of light to make this angel stay with us on earth. We need to build an abode for him so that he can find a ground to stay. We must also receive his ministry, just as John did before he could get the vision of the book of Revelation. We need to be built up in the spirit to receive things from Jesus’ emissaries; otherwise, we will not have the capacity to trap the messages that they bring.
Through these ministrations, things will begin to change on earth because God will begin to remove the devil’s works (1 John 3:8). There are different manners of the works of the devil; and they are such that it can only take the eye of a High Priest to discern them. The devil does evil works but he cannot be discerned physically.
A doer of evil is a wicked man. Cain could murder his brother (Abel) because his works were evil; but his brother’s works were righteous (1 John 3:12). He could conceive this thought and kill his brother because he continued doing evil. As such, he was not one who loved his brother (or brethren).
"Wherefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus, and love unto all the saints, [16] Cease not to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers; [17] That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him…" (Eph. 1:15-17). "Loving the saints" is different from "loving the brethren" (Eph. 1:15, 1 John 3:14). Loving the brethren is a love that will not be at work inside a man when works are not being done in his soul. These works are the revelation of what God wants us to become. Our works as New Testament saints start when God begins to give us commandments to obey.
There are no revelations attached to loving all saints – the love requirement in the level of milk of the word. This is because it is not a communication of understanding to the darkened mind. The things that constitute the milk level can be done without revelation. We don't need the revelation of Jesus Christ to teach milk because it is lesser than what the revelation of Jesus Christ does or can offer. The activity of the Spirit concerning Jesus Christ’s revelation is not at work when teaching milk. Nonetheless, milk is of God and from our Lord Jesus Christ. The commandments at this level are not called actual commandments. However, they are commandments that will help us transit to the point where we can obey the commandments of Christ and God. These two commandments (Christ and God) are the major commandments. It is when we do all commandments that healing will be ministered to us.
Loving the saints and having faith in the Lord Jesus will not give you enough capacity to know the hope of His calling. This is because this hope is not a thing that can be found in men's arena but God’s. God’s perspective and realm starts from the level of Christ. Christ is not a natural man. As such, a natural man cannot discern the things of Christ. A man can only begin to have discernment for the things of Christ when his darkness is taken away.
Works are not things done for God to make Him happy but things that we should change into. What God loves the most is what we are to become in our souls. His will is not what we can do for him but what we can become. This is why He called those men in Matthew 7:21-23 workers of iniquity. The reason why God had no regard for Cain was because he was not becoming what God wanted him to be (Gen. 4:5). He was rather a doer of evil works. As Cain did the things that sin desired (evil works), he formed a pact with it and rode on it to fulfill what he saw as desire.
Sin is highly enticing. In Cain’s days, sin was not defined by fornication. Sin is actually an opportunity to fly and reign in a life that is not the life of God but a life of death. Sin will offer man an opportunity for a life ambition that is against God's life because it is against God's life. The eyes of men who are darkened because of the blindness of their hearts will always cause them to be alienated from the life of God. As such, sin separates you from the life of God. A Gentile is one who is perpetually sold to vanity and a practitioner of the life that is not of God (Eph. 4:17). This is what God has come to stop.
With the light we are receiving from God at these times, men should know how to easily yield to the instructions of the Holy Ghost, even in their marriages. God does not withhold anything good from us, therefore, no man who has the ability to do good should withhold it from any man. One who withholds what is good from his brother is evil. Satan knows how to tamper with our ability to do good. God’s nature is that He is good and His mercies endure forever (Psalm 136:1).
“And he said, I will make all my goodness pass before thee, and I will proclaim the name of the Lord before thee; and will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and will shew mercy on whom I will shew mercy.” (Exo. 33:19). "All goodness" is a revelation of God’s person; it is a dimension of God's realm. This goodness is everlasting life. In the scripture above, ‘goodness’ is the first work, ‘being gracious’ is the last work, and ‘mercy’ is Eternal Life. This is God’s pattern. All goodness are works which are persons; they are God’s stature as a person. The word ‘all’ is used to qualify goodness to show us that goodness is from one glory to another.
God enlightened Moses and blessed him with everlasting sense because he saw God’s manner of persons pass before him. He saw all of God’s goodness and then, God could come to him and began to proclaim His name to him.
You cannot touch Eternal Life without mercy. Mercy does not come easily; it is based on God’s determinate counsel. No man has the key to this mercy. As such, we cannot determine or force God to show this mercy. The key to mercy is that one has a heart that is tender enough for it. You must hope in His mercy. This is why the Bible tells us to stay in the love of God, looking for the mercy of God unto Eternal Life (Jude 1:21).
The areas where we still have certain works that are not easily broken are areas where we have wrong everlasting strengths. These strengths are our evils; and we need healing from them. The devil did these works in all men, including preachers. However, God desires that no evil should be found in any man. When Satan wants to achieve a purpose, he takes people through some experiences that will do a work in them. This is not any man’s fault. We however are at fault when we hold on to those things after light has been shed.
Women liberation movements are of the devil and it will not have its root because there will be women who will learn God and become everlasting trees. Such women will be taller than flesh and stronger than grasses.
“In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.” (Revelation 22:2). Healing of the nations is a big and universal program; it is a global agenda. God is allowing spoiling and decay to occur in the nations, and then He will commence the healing. When God begins to heal nations, anyone who goes back to that decay or refuses healing will be lost; this is because it will be clear to all and sundry that God has come to heal man’s decadence.
Healing the nation is also a product from the Tree of Life. The healing begins with Christ. When this healing takes place, it will make sure that a man is not sick anymore. It is an incorruptible work. If someone could not be healed with the coming of lesser commandments, and as such his bad character or traits could not break in the season of the milk and meat of the word, the leaf of the Tree of Life will heal such a person.
The Tree of healing or the Tree of Life is reserved to take care of all anomalies that are unable to be healed before you arrive at the season of the Tree of Life. The leaf of the Tree is powerful; it is blessed with incorruption. The leaf is an inheritance that is incorruptible, undefiled and fades not away. The leaves of the Tree of Life will not fade away or wither. You cannot partake of the leaves of that tree and fade away.
“6 And he said unto me, These sayings are faithful and true: and the Lord God of the holy prophets sent his angel to shew unto his servants the things which must shortly be done. 7 Behold, I come quickly: blessed is he that keepeth the sayings of the prophecy of this book. 8 And I John saw these things, and heard them. And when I had heard and seen, I fell down to worship before the feet of the angel which shewed me these things. 9 Then saith he unto me, See thou do it not: for I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren the prophets, and of them which keep the sayings of this book: worship God.” (Revelation 22:6-9). The “sayings of this book” are not what is expressly written in the book of Revelation; they are hidden. “Sayings” are what the Father is using the Lord Jesus to say to us (Heb. 1:1-2). The voice of prophecy – Jesus' speaking to the sons of the sanctuary – is what God will use to bring many sons to glory.
The “sayings” has two connotations: revelation of the works and the projection of the reward. We should not joke with reward because it will surely take place. May we not be found filthy when it is time to take our reward. May we be found righteous, just and holy when the season of reward comes. Filthiness can demote a person when it is time to be rewarded. The commandments of everlasting life need to be thoroughly done for you to enter into rest.
“8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.” (1 John 1:8). The purpose of the works of God is to destroy the works of the devil. We have sin dwelling in us and do not know. This is because we have not yet grown to know we have some things that are against the alignment of God. Sin here is not darkness but wickedness; it is evil.
“13 For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe. 14 But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.” (Hebrews 5: 13-14). We need full age. We must have our senses exercised to discern works that are evil and those that are good. When you are using strong meat, you begin to see evil because you are using God’s standard. You cannot know sin except light shines.
“5 This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. 6 If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth: 7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.” (1 John 1:5-7). The message of “God is light” is the Father - the living God. This is the Father of light in whom there is no variableness or shadow of turning. The Father of light is a message. Before sin can be cleansed, it has to be admitted. This cleansing is not a washing without your knowledge; it is an awareness. Cleansing takes place by reason of understanding. Sin will remain as long as ignorance is still in place.
“8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.”
(1 John 1:8). The teaching that says we have no sin once we become born again is not correct. Sin is not driven by confession; a heavy duty ministry of light is needed. If times of refreshing are not coming, men cannot relinquish evil. Sin is usually perceived as obvious shame we fall into (things of disdain); but the sin being spoken of are things we hold dear in our souls as life. It will take the shining of light to show us our sin. Sin should not be seen as obvious mistakes; it is an act of corruption - an act that causes decay. This is what the devil did and that is why the Son of God was manifested to destroy the works of the devil (1 John 3:8).
“44 Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.” (John 8:44). Evil are lies; it is what the devil does. Satan is the father of lies. Anyone who forms an affiliation with what the devil is doing would love lies and would be against the light. A lover of lies is a lover of this world. Satan designed the world to be a lie. He knows he cannot train man to start with lies, so he first trains man with the world; then man comes to falsehood, and then becomes a liar.
The false prophet arose from the earth and the beast from the sea (Rev. 13). This speaks of land and sea that makes up the human soul. The dimension of the earth has to do with the mind. There are things that would come up in the heart that the mind would not agree with. If the mind does not agree with it, the will of man will not be involved. Some truth may come to your heart which you are not sure of, then you have to renew your mind with it.
How can two men get married and believe that they would go to heaven? It is obvious something wrong has happened; someone did a work. Women are not men; men are not women. Homosexuality is a lying nature. Human nature cannot lie because there is a way our Father designed it.
The shape of the leaf is the shape of an eye. It can also be the shape of the palm out together; it also has the shape of a heart - the love sign. This shows us that the leaves are a love commandment. The commandment of everlasting life is the commandment of Eternal Life; and the whole commandment is love. John referred to the commandment as God - so the leaf is God. God is love (1 John 4:16).
If you are able to eat the leaf, you will have everlasting life. You cannot have everlasting life and not be healed. Healing is to possess the living God; it is to be filled with the fullness of God. To be healed is to be incorruptible. The angel sent to us is to aid the everlasting gospel and heal men. We have been commissioned to carry the everlasting gospel but we have to be healed before we can preach.
The commandment of God is love. Love is a higher passion than faith; it is the greatest commitment to a thing, stronger than hope and faith. The way we respond to God is in love. Anyone who will go on with God must love God. Anyone who does not undergo the love programme cannot beat the devil. Love lasts; it is as strong as death and many waters cannot quench it (SOS 8:6-7).
It was the love of God present in the lives of the Apostles that enabled them to face martyrdom without fear. Death may seem fierce, but the love of God is stronger than death. People will love God “unto the death”. Jesus endured the cross, not just because He wanted to sit on the throne but because he had a strong tie with the Father. Jesus knew He was the only answer to what God wanted and if He failed, mankind would be doomed forever. Jesus knew and understood the Father; He had a strong love bond with the Father, such that nothing can separate. Likewise, we will be made inseparable from Them.
“50 And I know that his commandment is life everlasting: whatsoever I speak therefore, even as the Father said unto me, so I speak.” (John 12:50). Everlasting life is love life; it is the kind of life God has written. It is a law which when a man carries out, breeds a life that swallows up death. The commandment of everlasting life is in phases. As God gives the commandments to His own, they keep it and obey it; thereby receiving the life of the commandment and becoming everlasting. We would not want to break the code of everlasting life by disobedience.
Charity is perfected in Everlasting Life. The love of God is the raising of charity to a high degree; it is from everlasting to everlasting. Anyone who does the law of God till the end will be healed of corruption. Such a one will love God.
