Ministering: Pastor Tayo Fasan
There will come a time when many would embody the conversation of Everlasting Life in the days of their flesh. The life of Christ has its own required passion and likewise, everlasting life. But much more, God desires to give us Eternal Life. However, for us to attain Eternal Life, there are evil works that must be undone in our souls.
It may not have dawned on us, but the season of sealing is upon us. This sealing takes place at various levels. As teachings of everlasting life are ongoing, we are being sealed so we can be delivered from the ways and thoughts we have once taken and walked in. This water of everlasting life is rising to constrain us and also reshape our judgement.
The Lord wants our meditation to be sweet (Ps. 104:34). The cycle of thoughts that are not of faith are easy to be broken now because of the intensity of the Word. It takes the leaves of faith to deal with the impact wrought by the exertion of the unrighteous civilization. When the Word of Christ or instructions around the doctrine of Christ come to a soul, it would become difficult for the soul to accommodate an unrighteous expectation.
Something has been sent to our midst to further claim the arena of our soul. We are open to this season because a measure of our courts/tabernacle will be claimed by the Lord for the essence of everlasting life. The job description of Jesus is the restoration of everlasting life back to earth (John 3:16). Jesus profited with the good works of the doctrine of Christ and as a result, He came into Christhood. Jesus was healed by the provision of the leaf called “faith”. This healing is the first profiting of the New Testament.
To profit in the New Testament is for charity to be as natural as ungodliness is to many. Timothy was a man that embodied the life of the faith that now is, and profited with the doctrine of Christ (1 Tim. 4:8). Darkness has expired amongst many in our midst because of the light that is Christ. As the Word of Christ found entrance into the soul, healing took place in souls. The essence of this is for God to move us into the realm of that which is to come (everlasting life).
The two provisions of the Word would bring about two kinds of healing: the commandments of faith (Christ) would heal us from the world while the commandments of everlasting life (the Father) would administer a higher level of healing.
We must learn how to keep the Word, as it would restore us to the heights of heaven. We must keep the Word and not deny the name of the Lord (Rev. 2:13). To not deny faith is a testimony; it is the evidence that we have been healed from evil works we once had as a result of our former name. Satan, who is the god of this world (2 Cor. 4:4), knows how to reach us through our goods; but a company of people did not deny the faith even though their goods were spoiled, so they could move into perfection. One that is living soberly, righteously and godly (Titus 2:12) is at a capacity where he is not denying the faith.
When the Lord intends to commit some spiritual substances to us, He may withhold the natural to test us; and in this period, we must fasten our eyes on the things above so that our feet can be fastened also to hold on. A time will come when we would also receive the commendation that we have not denied His faith. The church at Pergamos came to an estate where they did not deny His name (Rev. 2:13); and could therefore forge ahead to receive the declarations of the Father and also hold on to it.
The Philadelphia church used faith to deny the world; and they also made significant progress to hold on to the demands of everlasting life, which is what we would use to overcome the negative everlasting life of Satan. Many of us would be faced with opportunities to deny the faith which would interrupt the work of faith that is ongoing in us. We must be strong enough not to take some steps, as they are traps by the enemy to make us depart from the faith which would hinder the work of salvation. This is why we must prioritize hearing; as the Holy Ghost gives counsel regarding our decision-making through ministrations.
“I know thy works, and thy labour, and thy patience, and how thou canst not bear them which are evil: and thou hast tried them which say they are apostles, and are not, and hast found them liars: [3] And hast borne, and hast patience, and for my name's sake hast laboured, and hast not fainted. [4] Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love” (Rev. 2:2-4). This was a church in the season of everlasting life. The patience they had is not the patience in the season of Christ, for they were churches that had already profited with the season of Christ.
There is a suffering that is required for Christ to be formed in us; but there is also a higher level of suffering that would enable us attain everlasting life. Many of us must allow the natural to be delayed so that faith can prosper – this is the heart of a lover. Those churches bore with the demands of the name and they came to a place of “first love”.
“And every one that hath forsaken houses, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my name's sake, shall receive an hundredfold, and shall inherit everlasting life.” (Matt. 19:30). If we forsake all these things for His name sake, then we would receive a hundredfold reward.
“Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.” (2 Pet. 1:4). We need an aspect of faith to help us escape the corruption of the world through lust, but we need to partake of divine nature to make us admissible in the vicinity of God.
Those that forsake lands, family and other things would receive a hundredfold and inherit everlasting life (Matt. 19:29). God is bringing us to a place where we would not be able to take thoughts that are not everlasting. When we fall short of the demands of everlasting life, we would be chastened sore because we are without excuse (Ps. 118:18).
There are conversations of His name that are after the order of everlasting life, which we are meant to use to relate with children, wife, father and mother. By doing so, we would be separated from having natural descent (Heb. 7:3). A believer that has gotten here has made his calling and election sure (2 Pet. 1:10). This is the season where a soul has to complete all the works (first and last works) that would see the soul overcome and be qualified to eat of the Tree of Life. One who has gotten to this point has not just lived but has become an abiding priest.
God wants to bring us to a point where we would have a hundredfold understanding of the name of the Father. As such, we would get to a point where we would not deny the name of the Father just like we did not deny the name of Christ. One that gets to this point has profited and prospered to the place where he can journey to Eden. Paul got here and told Timothy to fight the good fight of faith (1 Tim. 6:12). He told him to keep fighting till he receives a complete fold of understanding.
When we inherit everlasting life, we are not just having it as a knowledge but as a way of life because of obedience to the commandments of everlasting life. The way sin was once a commandment we obeyed is the same way we will keep the commandments of faith, and then keep the commandments of Everlasting Life.
We need charity to live with our wives; we also need to obey the commandments of everlasting life to love our wives more. It is on the basis of inheriting everlasting life that we would overcome. A time came that the Lord Jesus set an open door before the Philadelphia church because they did not deny His name (Rev. 3:8).
God wants to make a company of people pillars in His house such that they would go no more out (Rev. 3:12). Everlasting Life wants to confer on us an everlasting name that would last into the eternal. It is when we comprehend everlasting life that we can begin relating with the true God.
“I write unto you, little children, because your sins are forgiven you for his name's sake.I write unto you, fathers, because ye have known him that is from the beginning. I write unto you, young men, because ye have overcome the wicked one. [13] I write unto you, little children, because ye have known the Father. [14] I have written unto you, fathers, because ye have known him that is from the beginning. I have written unto you, young men, because ye are strong, and the word of God abideth in you, and ye have overcome the wicked one.” (1 John 2:12-14). There is a healing in the realm of faith that made them children and remitted their sins at that level; but another level of sins would need to be remitted for the name of the Lord at the realm of the Father. The church in Philadelphia moved from not denying His name to keeping His Word.
“I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name. [9] Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee. [10] Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.” (Rev. 3:8-10). There is something in the name that would produce young men from the realm of children. The level of joy at the level of children is not enough. For their joy to be full, they need the allocation of everlasting life to become their inheritance.
There are substances in the epistles of Paul that raise little children whose sins were remitted, but there are still substances in His name that would make their joy full (1 John 1:4). These little children then grew into young men. Young men overcame the wicked one because they carried and were faithful with the incorruptible seed.
The goal of everlasting life is to raise young men into fathers. Fathers are those who have known and profited with joy. God is raising a company in our midst who will receive a goodly salutation from the Lord, just as the Philadelphia church did (Rev. 3:7-10).
“Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed…” (John 8:31). There is an allocation of the Word where we would not just eat of the leaves of the Tree but we would eat of the fruits. The Word guarantees not just liberty but perfect liberty, for there is a perfect liberty everlasting life has to offer. The truth in Christ would make us free (John 8:32) but that liberty is in a measure. However, when the truth of the Son (everlasting life) visits us, we would have perfect liberty (John 8:36).
The job description of the Word of God is all encompassing. The Word would enable us to escape death (John 8:51). There is a conversation of that name towards our brothers, sisters, wives and mothers. By virtue of what we do with the demands of everlasting life, an open door will be set before us.
The rebel holders of authority in the spirit seek to raise a company of people to their own negative everlasting order, but our Lord is also raising a company of people who will profit with His name; for it would take a company to overcome another company. This company of the Lord will have His faith, His name and His new name.
God desires to make us a people that would live by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of the Father (Matt. 4:4). Everlasting life would become the lifestyle of a people and worldly men would hate them for this. This is because the same spirit that moved people in ages past to hate Jesus would also move upon them because they would behold a manner of conversation (John 15:18).
We will love righteousness and hate iniquity just as Jesus did (Heb. 1:9). We would keep the thoughts of the Lord and He will enable us not to deny the demands of the name of everlasting life.
