Genesis 5:2
“Male and female created he them; and blessed them, and called their name Adam, in the day when they were created.”
Yesterday, the Holy Ghost helped us to see how God sealed Adam. God called their name Adam in the day when they were created; He did not call them “man”. God created them first as a man and then called their name “Adam”. The name "Adam" is the placement (an estate in the realm of the spirit) God wanted them to operate in. This was a work God did in them.
Adam is a well-known Hebrew name; it means son of the red earth. The name came from the Hebrew word "Adamah" meaning earth. The name "red earth" is not an ordinary name; God named their capacity. We can use the phrase “blood earth” interchangeably with "red earth". When Adam ate the fruit together with Eve, Satan quickly changed their name. Their eyes were opened and they began to work against their names. What followed the wrong opening of their eyes is a responsibility: they became aware of their outward man. No red earth should observe the outward man because they were not designed that way, they were high beings. The person (Satan) who tempted them had an opposite life higher than them. The state of Satan was higher than the state of the living soul.
The first thing Adam saw after eating the fruit of the tree was that he was naked and then knew what to do to cover that nakedness. Man was not designed from the beginning to cover his nakedness. Adam and Eve did not know that they were naked because they were blood earth. There is a documentary of some people who go into the wild naked, claiming they are going back to the beginning. What they do not know is that it was not an ordinary earth that was in Eden. This is why nobody can act out the life Adam lived in Eden in this present day. That red earth does not need to wear natural clothes; they were naked and were not ashamed (Gen. 2:25). The glory of God was their covering. Their covering was their eyes; they were seeing something else.
The eye can be made to see anything. Covering can be programmed to a man’s body through his eyes. God did not give Adam and Eve a sense of being covered, and He never preached to them about a sense of being naked. So, they never knew they were covered, neither did they know anything about nakedness. It was the tree of the knowledge of good and evil that opened their eyes. The language “nakedness” was not in their mind at all.
Lucifer is a bringer of dawn; he can make things dawn on minds and men would not be able to remove it. Satan can cast a negative covering; this is what is called covering cast. Covering cast is a negative dawning on the souls of nations (Isa. 25:7). The problem of humanity is a negative dawn, but this dawning is about to go because there is another dawn. Satan is a dawn because he is a morning star who turned; but there is a superior morning star. What Jesus will cast on souls will cause them never to remember Satan because there will be a dawning of the Sun of Righteousness (Mal. 4:2). He will dawn so much on hearts such that we would not remember that there was a past when Satan reigned. Jesus will appear and all eyes shall see Him. Things will be shut down because the Dawn of all dawns (our Lord Jesus Christ) has landed.
Genesis 3:8-11
“And they heard the voice of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God amongst the trees of the garden. And the Lord God called unto Adam, and said unto him, Where art thou? And he said, I heard thy voice in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked; and I hid myself. And he said, Who told thee that thou wast naked? Hast thou eaten of the tree, whereof I commanded thee that thou shouldest not eat...”
Adam and Eve ate the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, and fell into figs. The day Adam took the leaves of the fig tree to cover himself, the fig tree became proud. Jesus wanted to eat the fruits of the fig tree but the tree only had leaves (Matt. 21:19), as such it was telling Jesus that it was not for fruit but for leaves (covering).
Satan spelt out to Adam where he was going, changing his name from blood earth to dust. Satan covered him with what withers, and anything that withers in scriptures is flesh (1 Peter 1:24). Satan was already giving Adam a code of life. Flesh is also a name for another man. When Satan wanted to tempt Job by God’s consent, he said skin for skin, meaning ashes to ashes, dust to dust (Job 2:3-4).
The fig tree is not an ordinary tree in scriptures. It was misbehaving because Satan also tampered with figs to always respond to man in a different way than God designed it. It is an abuse on creation for man to always use the leaves to cover himself and ignore the fruit. The sight Satan gave to man is to abuse creation. Creation will continue to groan until there is a manifestation of sons of God (Rom. 8:19). When those who are abusing their environments are trained and reprogrammed, they will not attack creation.
Fear is the instructor of wicked weapons. Nations have fear of ceasing to exist. If fear is gone, nations will love. When fear is healed, men will be content and there would not be competition. Fear induces greed. The phrase “fear of death” does not speak of physical death. There is a fear that death teaches. Death will teach a person to quickly gather and be rich. Meanwhile he has just been taught by death and by obeying, he has died.
Our father Adam said “I was afraid…” That statement “I was afraid because I was naked” (Gen. 3:10) bothered God. Fear taught Adam to immediately do something about his nakedness. Before the fall, nothing on earth was against him. He was the blessing over all things on earth. The culture we inherited from our family background is all a death and fear program. Fear has captured the environment but God wants to raise new mother and fathers who will not have fear. The inheritance of everlasting life is what drives fear away.
With fear, a man will destroy himself. Fear is an auto destruction system, once it is in a man, it will begin to destroy the man bit by bit. Many ministers of the gospel are afraid; they do ministry with fear. Many ministers have the fear of failure or the fear of not “making it” in ministry. Many ministers think that ministry is a platform for “making it”. Ministers must be strong in the Lord and the power of His might, to overcome evil spirits.
To overcome Satan, it would require the dawning of God. The day a man is able to see that what men call glory is nothing, he has become victorious. All flesh is grass. The fact that a man is born again does not mean that he has ceased from flesh. The soul of a believer can still be flesh. It is not easy to stop being flesh. Satan vowed that no man will bear the name that the first Adam lost. It is an uphill task to rise into the status of being an Adam. The last Adam came and closed the book called Adam; He ended the "Adamic race".
Genesis 5:2-3
“Male and female created he them; and blessed them, and called their name Adam, in the day when they were created. And Adam lived an hundred and thirty years, and begat a son in his own likeness, after his image; and called his name Seth…"
The next Adam after this class of Adam in Gen 5 is a lower grade of Adam. God helped Adam so he would not live a withered life. He removed the leaves and covered him with the skin of an animal. God veiled him from the life that is going to fight his soul. That veil was his covering. If the eye can lead to covering, it means that covering can lead to sight. God healed the sight Satan programmed to expire him. He reprogrammed how Adam thinks with clothing.
Abel and Cain came from Adam. Abel continued in the path, but Cain deviated from that covering because another sight was troubling him. How a man sees pictures can be a temptation. A man can be seeing sin or be seeing goodness.
Genesis 4:5-7
“But unto Cain and to his offering he had not respect. And Cain was very wroth, and his countenance fell. And the Lord said unto Cain, Why art thou wroth? and why is thy countenance fallen? If thou doest well, shalt thou not be accepted? and if thou doest not well, sin lieth at the door. And unto thee shall be his desire, and thou shalt rule over him.”
Sin here was another life or an option for opting out of God’s guard or His presence. Under God’s presence, sin was still talking to Cain and took him out of the presence of God. Cain had been fellowshipping with what was lying on his heart. Sin was teaching him to be wiser. In terms of natural wisdom, Cain was wiser than Abel. Abel was just thinking about his lambs and tendering them but Cain was already thinking of how to build a city (civilisation). Having a secret ambition to achieve on earth is an idol. Satan can steal from you and make you pour your soul on nothing. Satan was painting high things and high achievements to Cain.
There is an intelligence behind creation. Things in space are all shaped like balls. God just put uncountable balls in space. A preacher who is boasting about earth or how many hectares of land he has in possession is one who is boasting about something that is very insignificant to God; it is a poverty mindset. This means that all men on earth are very poor.
Preaching about meeting the natural needs of man is poverty. A Christian should not jubilate because his needs are met. Satan fell man from reaching out to his main resources. Those who pursue life and Life Eternal are the richest set of humans. The shifting away of a man’s gaze from things unseen is death. Things unseen are eternal. Heaven is not eternal - it can be seen.
2 Corinthians 4:16-18
"For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day. [17] For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory; [18] While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal."
Things unseen are things angels cannot see; that is what we have been called to see. Anything an angel knows, Satan knows it. There are things angels are not thinking, it’s not in their comprehension. We are not supposed to look at cars or houses. Thank God for the faith that can give us physical things, but that is not what that verse is talking about because money and cars are not eternal. God has given man the honour to see what creatures cannot conceive and bring them out of hiding. It has not yet entered into the hearts of men, but it can be brought out. In the process of thinking about eternal things, you will have to engage in a fight of affliction. Afflictions are what you come against to bring out what God wants to reveal in you. God wants to reveal an eternal weight of glory. The eternal weight of glory is not to be worked out when we get to heaven but here on earth. This glory is not one that is upon but within.
2 Corinthians 4:16
“For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day.”
The inward man will have the opportunity to interact with the weight of glory. God wants to teach the inward man to handle or carry the weight of glory. Flesh cannot handle the weight of glory. "Chabod" means heavy. Anything that is heavy cannot pass away. The heavier the glory, the more abiding it is. The challenge here is passing you through "a moment". That moment can look like a thousand years before our eyes because of the afflictions. Affliction is the contradiction against the life you are looking for. Satan will give us a challenge to drop weight and remain in flesh but we should not back down, rather, we should fight the good fight of faith so we can lay hold on Eternal Life (1Tim. 6:12). Before Jesus went to heaven, He was accredited with Eternal Life. This is why it is possible for us to have Eternal Life on earth.
The reason for affliction is to change the DNA (nature) of a man. A man who has the value of a grass in the realm of the spirit will be put through affliction to raise him into a man of glory. A man whose inward man is changing is becoming glorious. Nobody passes through affliction with a smile but something is being worked on the inside. In a few years, we shall no longer remain the same; we shall be like Him because we shall see him as He is (1John 3:2).
2 Corinthians 3:7-9
“But if the ministration of death, written and engraven in stones, was glorious, so that the children of Israel could not stedfastly behold the face of Moses for the glory of his countenance; which glory was to be done away: How shall not the ministration of the spirit be rather glorious? For if the ministration of condemnation be glory, much more doth the ministration of righteousness exceed in glory.”
The ministration of righteousness is what we look into. What dwells in that ministration of glory is eternal weight - we see everlasting life, then go on to see an eternal weight of glory. When a man is under the ministration of the Spirit, a moment will change and give away - the present will have to go for the glory to appear. The ministration of righteousness is the ministration of everlasting life; it is the ministry of change which comes from the face of our Lord Jesus. When this ministry is in operation, men will be changing from glory to glory. When believers are not changing, iniquity will thrive.
2 Corinthians 4:3-4, 7
“But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them. But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.”
A man who is not beholding or participating in this ministry is lost. A man who has received the ministry of glory becomes transformed and becomes a ministry. Angels are ministering spirits but God wants us to go beyond being ministering spirits; He wants us to become quickening spirits. Jesus can minister but He is also a quickening spirit. Ministry is a Person. Jesus wants to make many quickening spirits who will have the capacity to change people. Satan will stay away from such people because he does not want to change. There is a quickening spirit that is eternal but there is a ministering spirit which is everlasting life.
Our Lord Jesus is a quickening Spirit because He has the solution to death. God is also a quickening Spirit because He is the One who quickens the dead. We should race to become a quickening spirit, that is, Eternal Life. Eternal Life is not a life one experiences in heaven after one has passed away, rather, it is a life that is in a Person. God loves the soul and wants the soul of man to inherit Life Eternal.
The new name that God wants to give is the original name not an imitation. At creation, God made a copy and pasted it Adam. Man is earth but the redness is an addition to him. Red means life. God also gave some angels the red of heaven and those are the angels in the paradise of heaven. However, the name that God will give to us is the name that He alone has. That is the name He will call us by.
Reward is a ministry and it is received by a high beholding. The quickening Spirit is a red pigment or a red life. Everlasting life is white in colour. This is the white robe (the linen) which signifies the righteousness of the saint. Jesus came with the saints in white linen for the marriage feast (a feast of blood), and He also wants His bride to be dipped in blood so that their garment will be red (Rev. 19:3).
Redness signifies one who has been married, one who will sit on the right hand of the Lamb. The red life has its equivalent in metals which is gold. The red life is the clothing of gold because gold signifies life in the scripture. The mercy seat is pure gold. It is actually the blood of Eternal Life that the golden ark takes. God wants to quicken us and give us His life. He wants to bring us into a life that can never finish, for such a life is inexhaustible.
