Topic: Understanding the Ministry of the High Priest

Ministering: Rev. Kayode Oyegoke

Text: Hebrews 5:1-13

Tongues and Interpretation (1)

Praise. For you are entering into seasons by light, elevated light, exalted light, the light of the exalted One and the light of God who is most holy. Wherein you will begin to come into singing praise, pure praise, praise of worship; even worship and praise that are not tied to impurities. For many worships and many praises are not founting from pure thoughts of God, pure judgements of God, pure understandings of God or out of pure conversations of God. But you are coming into times wherein my church - the body - will begin, as a result of doctrine, understanding and comprehension of who God is in His pure essence, to bring forth praise and worship. Yea not for things present or for things that He can do. But for His everlastingness and His eternalness will My people praise Me. And such praises will touch Elohim and reach the heart of Elohim because men and women, children and teenagers, the old and young will praise Him in His true essence and in His purest revelation. Worship, psalms, hymns and spiritual songs will emanate from a people who have known Him for what He is, for who He is and for what He will ever be.

Paul! I bring help. I bring help to understand things that have been difficult to understand and to place thoughts that have been difficult to place. I bring help to understand certain hard thoughts of Paul. I bring help. I bring skill for to help some.

(Message begins...)

There are certain latter books of Paul that may be regarded as Pauline everlasting scripts. Similarly, there are also Pauline life scripts like the book of Romans Chapter 1. The everlasting scripts are involved in pushing everlasting thoughts for everlasting life. Verses of scriptures are arranged like blocks laid upon one another. It is not easy to relate one stone of one verse to another because of how they are arranged on each other. Thus, it is not easy to navigate the waters of those verses. However, we have just received help through the prophecy that has come to us.

Apostle Paul. Apostle Paul is at your side. There is a Paul at your side.

(Message continues...)

Strong meat is difficult to digest and hard to be uttered (Hebrews 5:11-12). Peter said that those who are unlearned and unstable wrest with it because they do not understand it (2 Peter 3:15-16). When God put scriptures together, He invented words through the medium of His glory to hide something precious within them. He put the scriptures together with a high wisdom. Therefore, the scriptures are far above our thinking and those who wrestle with the scriptures do so because they are beneath it. When a man does not have the right entrance into scriptures, he will wrestle with it (2 Peter 3:15).

The things that the apostle Peter said are hard to be understood (2 Peter 3:15) are those things which are hard to be uttered (Hebrews 5:11). In the issue of everlasting life, one must be quick to hear, slow to speak and slow to judge (James 1:19).

What the high priest is armed with is the way; his boast is that he knows the way. The high priest is one who can have compassion on the ignorant, and on them that are out of the way; for that He Himself also is compassed with infirmity.(Hebrews 5:2). Ignorance in this context is not used in an abusive sense. It means to be unaware and clueless. Another term for being unaware is when someone is 'not alive' to something. The opposite of ignorance is knowledge or awareness. Therefore, when there is knowledge, there is awareness. When one is no longer ignorant of the fact that the high priest has capacity to resolve all issues, it can be said that such a person is no longer ignorant. Such a man has come into awareness, knowledge and understanding. He that lacks understanding is like a man that dwells in the congregation of the dead (Proverbs 21:16).

Death means separation and unawareness of what is ahead of one. To a degree, some Christians are still dead to God. When one has obtained understanding, and yet transgresses laws in awareness, it is different from committing an offence without knowledge. A sin of commission is when a person willingly takes part in a sin; while omission is when one partakes of a wrongdoing unknowingly. Those whom the High Priest stands for are men who are ignorant. This ignorance will not be taken away by just giving us information; He made a sacrifice for it. The ministry of the High Priest will not be open to us till we have met with Him.

The tabernacle has compartments including the holy place and the most holy place. We should all be familiar with the tabernacle until we become the tabernacle. The holy place is the sanctuary while the most holy place is the holiest of all. One who is an agent of the holy place cannot just stray into the most holy place. There is a curtain drawn from top to bottom that is called the veil, which separates both compartments. One who is before the veil cannot access (or is ignorant of) what is behind the veil. This encounter does not occur to you by study but by leading. One has to be guided into the study of this place.

The ignorant and those which are out of the way are the sons of the sanctuary. These people are ignorant of the way; they are ignorant of what makes the High Priest high. They are ignorant of the life behind the veil; therefore, they still have some measure of deadness towards what lies behind the veil. One who is ignorant will have a disposition that cannot even respond to the call of what is behind the veil because he cannot hear it and does not know it.

The people that were being addressed in Hebrews 5 came to a place where they could approach the most holy place, but were still ignorant. The ministry of the High Priest is to heal them of their ignorance, so that they will no longer be called 'the ignorant'. Ignorance is a very strong word; it is a combination of two words - Ignore- and -rant- (which is a continuous state). As such, people who are in this state are continuously unaware and are out of the way.

The servants of the most holy place are very much higher than the servants of the holy place. As such, the latter cannot attain understanding and heal their ignorance by themselves.

Hebrews 4:14-15

"Seeing then that we have a great High Priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession. For we have not an High Priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin."

The reason why these people were dull of hearing was because they had no connection to what the High Priest had to offer. This Man (the High Priest) has something to offer and this is the answer to ignorance (Hebrews 8:3).

Hebrews 2:17

"Wherefore in all things it behoved Him to be made like unto His brethren, that He might be a merciful and faithful High Priest in things pertaining to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people. For in that He Himself hath suffered being tempted, He is able to succour them that are tempted."

We should see ourselves as the ones who are ignorant and are out of the way because we do not know what lies there in the most holy place. It is a rare opportunity to meet with the High Priest of good things to come. It was an honor for Abraham to meet Melchizedek, a king of righteousness who gave him bread and wine (Genesis 14:18) and blessed God who delivered the enemies of Abraham into his hands.

Tongues and Interpretation (4)

Creative miracles! Not just for those who are here but those who are afar off; even the spirit of miracles being unleashed, saith the Spirit of God. Do good to obey Me to lay hands on some even as I stir you. Do good to lay hands on some as I stir you. For that ministering spirit is touching your hands to touch some, saith the Spirit of God.

Tongues and Interpretation (5)

To you another strength! Another strength!

Tongues and Interpretation (6)

Angel strength!

Tongues and Interpretation (7)

Mantle from the throne! Even that which was upon the Lord during His earthly walk; how God anointed Jesus with the Holy Ghost and with power for healing all. This mantle is to heal all; to heal all diseases, all sicknesses, all infirmities. To heal cancer; all diseases, all sickness. For it is a mantle from the throne and I anoint My servant even Kayode with this mantle. It is upon him. All should key into it and align under it, for it will heal all sicknesses and all diseases. No sickness or disease will stand before it. It will heal all, saith Jesus

(Closing Charge...)

God wrought special miracles by the hand of Paul, after he taught the word of Christ's testimony for some time. After he taught for so long, God began to confirm the words that were spoken with special miracles and signs and wonders. What is happening now is confirming the word. We did not seek for miracles first; rather, we first sought for the word of God and that is what we have obtained. What we have as our inheritance is the word of God and it is priceless. People will rush for miracles and the Lord knows this and will heal them; He is very compassionate. However, as we have attended to the word first, it is going to become our lifestyle and God will attest to it.
